mine is 9 months old and I havent looked ;) I am a bad man

A bit of thread necromancy!! I had the new rear brake assembly fitted yesterday and HUZZZZZAH it doesnt sqeak anymore :D I did some strange reversing manouveres last night to check and all seems coolio and they fixed all the other stuff such as trim falling off and bizzare paint clouding. only thing is that I need new front pads ;) mine are sooo weak compeared to the ones on the courtesy car I had (and I never thought I would say it but I am warming to diesel :) )

just a bit of an update really, Citroen valleter bloke took one look at the mark and said it was the film that is applied just after they have finished spraying it. When the car is being valeted just before delivery they spray a chemical to remove it and he missed a spot ;) all fixed now
-
I may well be up for that....I cant make the FCS due to work commitments
-
now then...how to put this nicely :P The car itself is great, wouldnt change it. Its tonnes of fun to drive, likes being thrown around when you feel like it and is well behaved around town. Very economical (Ham might disagree a bit :D ) looks funky, loads of kit very good value for money and the depreciation is looking minimal looking on Autotrader and many more plus points which im sure everyone on here will agree with me on The downsides are obvious though....as for reccomending I probably would, but I would say give it a year when all the teething problems are out of the way. As for yours you should be fine as all the recalls and niggles should be fixed on yours before you pick it up... A friend of mine ordered a Focus ST nearly 2 months ago, it still hasnt been delivered as Ford keep finding some major problems with them so its not just Citroen. As I said in one of the other threads recalls hapen to every new car regardless if it is a 13K Citroen or a 350K Maclaren it happens.

decent sprayers have a computer system that you put in the manufacturer and that brings up all their colours then gives you the ammount of each colour to match, the guy who did my wing operataes out the back of his van and he holds I think he said 12 colours and the various chemicals and fleks to make metalics and pearls....so very impressive. As we have new cars the colour shouldnt have faded yet. That is what causes most of the trouble as they have to spray over adjacent panels and blend it through...

I washed mine saturday night and it is ditched down....stupid other car driving in front of me :P
-
sounds about rite to me mate
-
I think we are all generally happy but I am certainly heading rapidly towards the end of my teather...1 or 2 recalls is fine and to be expected from a brand new model it happens to ever new car from basic family cars to hypercars but now we are going onto recall 6 with the list of general faults growing from niggles, door rattles & annoying CD players rite up to major life and car threatening faults such as ABS control units catching fire and airbags not deplying in crashes... rant over, normal service can now resume :P
-
I'm with Welshguy, I want that the B pillar colour coded, might have the rub strips done at the same time...the list grows longer...
-
it would be an amazing finish to achive, but keeping it like that must be a nightmare :P
-
at least you know what courtesy car you are getting when I asled for one I needed to get a covering note from my insurance company but the garage didnt know what car they had available so I couldnt get the note :P I had a brief look around that site...I thought I was thorough when I washed mine...not so sure anymore
-
A decent spray shop should be able to do that for very little money I would imagine. Yours is black isnt it?? if so that would make it even easier for them to match it...I have just seen the brown leather too ICKY!!
-
I do like the leather dash, thats pretty smart steering wheels on the wrong side too...silly foriegner :P
-
I think that is the only difference to be honest apart from the cosmetic stuff...
-
Thats what I fear...or they could just give me a new one :P just had a thought, it had the diamond bright treatment could it be that do we think?? I will have to give em a call and get it booked in for the list that is nearly as long as my arm...
-
I just took a pic on me phone but it is rubbish, looks fine on the phone but when its on the computer it is shocking. I will grab me proper camera when I get home and do a proper shot and post that
-
just tried getting a another pic but all you can see is me and if you go along the car it doesnt pick it up. I noticed there is some of the clouding on the rear cluster which is really making me scrath my head...
-
I have indeed, I would go to a wheel shop and buy a nice set from there but if you stick with manufacturers parts then you dont have to declare them to the insurance company and send the premium up even higher...
-
thats awesome, I might have to buy it for the sake of having it :D !!
-
They are £270 a piece apparantly...I am going to have a massive bitching session at the garage when I go next and see if they want a happy customer and give me a free set :D
-
I have no idea i'm afraid. I think it is Citroen specific thing, I was watching the guy at the parts centre when I had to buy a new wing they have a picture of the car and you click the secific area and it gives them the product codes and prices...I dont think something like that will find its way onto ebayoh hang on it probably will :D

I have found the VTS wheels on Ebay only problem being there are only 2... wheels
