it would be nice to get a parts price list for the car and work out how much it is costing to do all the fixers...

I tried to take a pic this mornig and it doesnt really show up. You cant really see it until you get level with it. I will try it again in a bit...

I have just noticed that the paint on the drivers side door has gone what can only be desribed as cloudy/milky its a fairly large patch it looks like the final lustre is starting to come off and I can feel it when I rub my hand across it, its sort of rough (certainly not smooth) I thought it might be shampoo residue so I washed and polished the door again bit to no avail... Any ideas what it might be?? I assume that it is covered by the paint warrantee but I want to avoid it being with Citroen for days while they fanny around with new doors...

so you have had to have a new head gasket?? so when do we think we are going to be offered new cars then :D Citroen cant have much of a profit margin left on them now...£300 on parts alone for the brake fix and times that by however many thousands of C4''s there are in the world. Muchos money

If I was going for 'Stang it would have to be a new Saleen version mmm Saleen... there are certainly a few niggles with the FQ400 pulling away at 3000RPM, needs a service every 2500 miles needs new clutch every 10K or so as the stress of pulling away with that high revs and the torque it generates when the turbos whiring...he works for Mclaren cars as a engine developer so I think he knows what he is going to do to it. His old Skyline had a set of carbon-ceramic brakes off the SLR and I think he is going to do the same on the EVO...the joys of free samples from companies desperate to get their parts on a car like the SLR I drove the Civic and to be perfectly honest I didnt like it...I hope the new one will be better...

you clearly are a copying me...I have been looking at Mustangs this afternoon :) ... my friend has just taken delivery of his new EVO FQ400 and take it from me it is a mental machine it does feel like the world has been sped up when the turbo kicks in...it goes all blurry and starts vibrating!! assuming you can get the bloody thing to pull away that is :D

mine is a Oriental Blue VTR coupe with the VTS spoiler...the only pics I have of her is with the back end hanging off :D I will sort some out when I clean it...

if you combine a remap+induction+sports exhaust will give you around 25 extra BHP which will make it feel much perkier...

I havent had that letter yet but if that is taking 2 hours mine will probably be gone for a couple of days....bugger....they are having to take my boot apart as the sound deadening foam stuff has started to show between the window and the bodywork and its not watertight anymore, the passenger door has started rattling again and the gearbox rattle as mentioned on the other thread...

Welshguy, mine has that same rattle but mine does it between 3 and 4th gear just when you prod the throttle....anyone else having this??

I dont know about you lot but I like the strong brakes, makes you feel confident that it will stop quickly if needed. It just takes a few hours to get used to them...

kinda wish I'de forked out the extra grand now B)

The VTS does have a firmer ride in general though doesnt it?? I thought they firmed everything up in that one??

I have looked all over for the VTS wheels and nowhere seems to have them...Citroen want almost 700 notes for them, the words sod that spring to mind

thats sounds like a trip to citroen to me mate...have you tried running the diognostic check that you access in the vehicle settings menu on the radio?? that might give you more info... -S-

mine does it every now and again, I dont know what causes it so I dont know if it can be fixed...

I will see if I can blag some parts from various companies. Its looking good to that it will have a trial exhaust system and we will see what happens from there

I would expect mine to fine as mine is about a week newer than yours!! I think it might just be muck to be honest as I havent had chance to wash it since it came back from the crash repair centre... I will give that rain-X stuff a go if I see it anywhere I am going to Cituning on Thursday to see if they can fuel my power hungry needs...they have a stage 1 tuning kit, here it is. That is very tempting, I will have to get it priced up
