Right, just been and done a bit of investigating and niether of the leads will fit. The pink one has 10 Pins, the blue has 9 and and the Citroen/Peugeot lead has 12 and is of a different shape, the plug itself is black. Thanks for all the help, info and thoughts though guys, much appreciated.

Yeah, im just looking at the options. The problem I have is that Ive asked the dealer how much it would be to activate the port and they want £30, which TBH, I think is absolutely disgusting for the amount of work involved. I might be wrong on this... Im connecting it to a Sony MP3 player, the new one with the screen under the casing. Im quite confident in my abilities to do the fitting, and many others have done it. I just have to get the thing enabled properly.

Maybe its cause of the big oomph of torque you get at low revs. I have ESP on my car, when I turn it off, a light comes on the dash, but If I go above a certain speed (30MPH I think) the light goes off and the ESP comes back on. Is this right???

Well the reason im asking is that there are 2 leads on Ebay at the mo, 1 is a small blue plug (2 x 3pins) with a 3.5mm jack plug on the end. The other is a larger pink plug, with a 3.5mm jack plug on the end. They both say the are for an auxiliary input and both only have three cables coming out. Just wondered which one of these might be worth investigating furthur. I must admit, I was erring on the side of the blue one.

What colour is the plug on the end??? Blue or Pink

I like the way you have to provide them with information!!! Tell them they need to ask the car nicely to switch it on for you!!! They have to connect it up to thier 'puter and activate it somehow. My dealer wasnt aware of this either and I still haven't had it done. I think the Peugeot lead will work in Aux 1 if you dont have a CD changer To be honest, what do they want to know??? I dont get it. They should be able to work it out themselves.

So it seems like it may be normal. Im going tp get under the car the weekend and feel around the exahaust see if I can find a hole. Have to be quick though, I dont wanna be putting my hands near the cat when it gets hot!!!

Ive got a 138BHP and when I blip the throttle, there is a distinct 'farty' sounding noise coming from under the car. The dealer has looked at it and after telling me its not a normal sound, they did a U-turn and are now telling me its perfectly normal on the 2.0l engine. I dont know what to believe. To me, it sounds wrong!!! It only does it when, if you are sitting stationary, you just give the throttle a quick prod. The car doesnt have to rev high, just a quick sharp prod to get the revs to rise. The sound on my car seems to come from under the car, near the catalitic converter. Does anyone elses do it???

Should do I reckon. The way i see it, its part of the body work and its corroding and under the corrosion warrenty itt should replaced.

I agree with everything that has been said in the last few replies. I'd like to add in my defence that, I wouldnt give it to someone and say 'Its broke'. By trade, I myself have to deal with electrical faults every day (im an electrician) so know the benefits of being told accurate details of the fault. When I dropped my car off, a technician looked at the car with me and agreed the farty noise its making wasn't right (and then I was told it is perfectly normal!!!). I also explained how and when the suspension clonked and all of this was written down on the job card. I can make the car clonk whenever I want, so its not as if it only does it on the odd occasion, when its raining fish and the wind is blowing from the south south west. I think ill let them look at it again soon and ask them if I can show them on a test drive as suggested. Might be the best way to get to the bottom of the problem. At least they cant deny the problem if I myself have demonstrated it to them.

Does anyone else have this gearbox characteristic... You put it in Fifth, then it you push it back towards the right and then back into neutral, it sticks??? If you just pull it from its resting position into neutral it goes ok, but actually guiding it out makes it stick somwhere between fifth, neutral and reverse!!!

Its just so infuriating. I didnt give them the car with a list of made up faults!!! They are there, they just require some investigation. This suspension recall, is that the front or rear??? Could it be my problem??? It clonked again today when I pulled away from a junction. It clonks most days at some point and they reckon they couldnt recreate it!!! Still, I took a mate in the car today for the first time and they couldnt believe the interior, proding and poking anything and everything!!! I love it when people do that. I am genuinely thrilled to bits with the car. Its just the bloody dealers. I had a Rover before this car, and I never had any problems with Rover dealers and they always washed the car before handing it back. Citroen and Rover... polar opposites. I took my car in Monday for it to be looked at, list of faults as follows: CD Changer automatically ejects CD1 CD Changer makes a popping sound through tweeters Front suspension clonks under quick get aways Induction/exhaust system blowy suck farty noise!!! Took the car down and the CD changer was behaving itself, so they couldnt sort that. A technician came to look at the car, listened to the farty noise and said it wasnt normal. Anyway, Tuesday, gets a phone call "Hello, Mr Relf?, Your Citroen C4 is ready to pick up. Come down when your ready and we'll talk to you about what we've done" 'Oh good' I think. Little knowing, they could have just told me they haven't done anything!!! Got down there and the Billy begins. "We couldnt recreate the suspension clonk so we couldnt sort that" "The Induction/Exhaust noise is completely normal" "We have updated the airbag system" (Incidentally, I didnt get a letter) So anyway, I asked about the noise... "Yesterday, one for your technicians told me that noise definately wasnt normal, now your telling me it is. Is it or Isn't it normal???" (By now im a bit peeved, a list of three things to sort and they have done an Airbag update) So the man from Citroen says... "Ah, well, we though it was a 1600 (It says 2000cc on the job card). Dont see many 2 litres in the VTR+. What the noise is, is that the 2 Litre has a bigger induction kit. When you blip the throttle, the car readies its self for a big performance demand, so opens the induction system and preheats the catalyst to stop the emmisions levels being too high" I was astounded by this imaginitive story so didnt even reply. I purchased an air-freshener whilst I was there. £9.60 for two!!! Ill give Ebay a look next time. I left the dealer in a bit of a hump, got to the exit and floored it... 'CLONK' went the suspension.... Im not happy!!!

Your '?' is Aux 1. The stadard Blaupunkt unit has 2 Aux ports. If you have a changer, Aux port 1 is enabled and used. If you want a MP3, you have to get the part mentioned int the first post, and then get Citroen to enable aux port 2. The Peugeot lead will need to be re-wired slightly to get it to work in aux port 2 as its meant for aux port 1. Try and get Citroen to do it for free. its only 10 mins work. I got quoted for them to do it on my car and they wanted £30 odd quid!!! Suffice to say, I have no MP3 player as yet!!!

Ive got nothing in the glove box. I thought the lead you can get plugs into the back of the stereo???

Im still happy with mine. The paint is fine, the airbags, I havent recieved a letter, the ABS was sorted before I got it. It was owned by a Citroen Rep based at Citroen HQ in Slough, so its been looked after ok.

Mines an April 05 with over 20k on the clock now. I have resolved the rattly doors myself, after the dealer had two failed attempts. The brakes were squealing when I got it, but the dealer fixed these (new discs and pads). The clutch is now starting to judder a little and the front suspension knocks under a quick get away. Also, some little niggles, the display does not show the display its meant to when you put it in reverse and activate the parking sensors. The dealer doesnt know how to activate the auxiliarry port for an MP3 player to be fitted. The car also seems to make a strange sound when you blip the throttle. I think its just induction, but ive never heard anyhting like it on another car, a really loud gasping sucking noise. Anyway, the car still goes and runs ok, so im sure there is nothing wrong.

I just contacted my local dealer about activating the auxiliary port for an MP3 player and they said they know nothing about it. Can you clarify, is this just for cars with Navidrive do you know, or for all models???

Is your VTS Spoiler a proper one or an after market??? if you dont mind me asking, have you declared it and what did your insurance company say about it??? Did they increse your premium???

Mine doesn't feel too harsh, everyone says how comfy the car is. The front suspension clonks a fair bit. Apparently ive read that they all do it. Is this true???

Can these be changed from MPH to KMH??? Im going on holiday to Spain this year and it would be nice to be able to change the units cause obviously it does not show a KMH conversion. Im sure I found it a little while a go whilst playing with all the settings but now I cant. Any ideas???
