The air conditioning will be turned on and off dependent on engine load. I.E. if you want to overtake going up hill and need to hit the accelerator hard the aircon will shut off to give maximum power from the engine.

The cups are an addition to the assembly, they do not replace an original component. They are designed to 'catch the spring' in the event of a failure.

Every time your vehicle goes into your main dealer it should get checked against the citroen database for outstanding recalls, and they should attempt to carry them out the day its in. Obviously that can be difficult if parts are required but not in stock or the customer is waiting but doesnt want to wait too long! give your dealer your cahssis number......it will tell you all recals your vehicle is subject to, it ignores the ones that dont concern your vehicle. In addition, there are many 'quality updates', not to be confused with recalls that your vehicle may also be entitled to recieve that you wouldnt have recieved a letter about as they are carried out when a vehicle passes through the workshop. I might add for people reading this.........if you have an older vehicle and you choose to have your vehicle serviced outside the citroen dealer network you will not get these updates......its one of the things that your local specialist wont know about.

it wont restore the reverse waning beacause the multiplex wires are not connected to an aftermartket head unit and thus it cant transmit sound to the speakers.

i'm a liar then!!!!!!!

if its dripping down the front of the engine from the corner above the alternator its not that unussual. Replacement of the headgasket is the only way to resolve the problem as it a main oil gallery.....you wouldnt want to sieze it up. Yes the 1.4 is derived from the ax, bx, zx, also used in saxo, c2,c3 with slight variation on the operation of the valves. An AX manual should provide you with the info to do the job though

Its unlikely to be affecting 06 model cars...........so there is a slight possibility as its the current reg that they have sold some new ones......they dont just come in because there broke!! As far as the problem is concerned, it isnt difficult starting, it isnt takes two turns of the ignition to start..........it just wont start and never will till its fixed (or you pull a couple of fuses).
-
doesnt seem to concern too many cars...............its been in existance as a problem for at least the last six months......and yes it will cause a non start........so if you get a letter , dont put it to one side and wait for your service

Whilst the sphere does 'just screw on and off'.......have you worked out how to let the pressure out of the system before you remove them? I think you will find thats the technical bit and what your paying for......its not the same as a xantia or BX.

This is the same as when driving a manual car............The gear lever is pushed forward and indicates you are in first gear.....but because you have your foot on the clutch the car can roll back. The senso drive in basic terms has an electronic clutch pedal. The gear indicator merely points out that when you accelerate you will move in the gear indicated....the point here is you have to depress the accelerator to indicate you wish to move off......this will cause the clutch to come to biting point amd then you move in your desired direction of travel. Its an aquired taste is a sensodrive.

The question would be, have you had the rear subframe bushes checked / replaced.......if not i suggest you do it before you go over any hump backed bridges and leave your rear wheels behind!!!!!

Disconnecting the battery on a C5 shouldnt be done untill 10 minutes after shutting the ignition off. Failure to do this causes information to be lost as it cant be written to the memory. The unit cannot be repaired by the dealer and there is no 'quick fix'........you need a new unit.
-
How old is the car? early xantias you program yourself, late xantias need to be programmed by the dealer.

Some advice............Hmmmmmmmm Well how about telling us what engine you have got in it, size , petrol , diesel? have you checked any fuses? has it got coolant in it? Does it only indicate on the display its overheating or has it lost water? If the radiator has a switch on it you might want to dicsconnect the connector and short the 2 wires together......see if the fan works then.....if it does you might need a switch.

also worth making sure you havent got mats impeding the travel of the clutch pedal.

Is funny how when a dealer supplies a car, thats faulty everyone says how bad the dealer is, slap them on the wrists etc etc....... When they call you to tell you its got a problem and they want to fix it before you take delivery......there also wrong, this time for doing there job properly!!! I can understand your dissatisfaction at the vehicle not being ready for you to collect, but would also point out its better at this stage than pack up on sunday after you have taken delivery. There seems little point in changing your mind on the car you have chosen as your heart is now set on it and any thing else would be second best. I might add at this point we had a C4 that was doing as you described and it was caused by someone having disconnected the battery and not reinitialising the airconditioning.......i would assume that they have done this.

Glad to see your dealer got it sorted for you :o

As i've said in other posts, there area a lot of good independents out there.....and many that shouldnt be let loose on a car. As Karmthims points out, a main dealer does do things that your local independent wont be able to do. Can your independent dealer check the faults in your ABS/ESP, Power steering ECU, Gearbox ECU, Lane wandering alert ECU, Steering control ECU, Airconditioning ECU, BSI, multifuction display, tyre underinflation detection, Radio, Airbags, Parking Assistance, central door locking............or do they only have equipment to read and erase engine management fault codes? During my day i have a fair number of garages call for 'technical information'. I have got to the stage with most of them that i refuse to assist.....Nobody helps me do my job, and on the occasions that i have got a problem and need to speak to Citroen i will be charged £20 for the call......why should i assist them for free?. :D Would you take a cylinder head off without torque wrench settings to put it back on, would you expect them to know how an alternator belt goes back on after they have removed it, would you question their knowledge if you knew they rung us up and asked us 'what parts are replaced on a 2nd year service'? Customers are trusting them......and guess what.....when it all goes wrong the customer comes in and we have to sort it out  I would suggest that there are owners out there that find a dealer doesnt meet their standards of service. When this is linked to the charge for this service they question why they take it there. If the service was good faults were fixed first time and they were treated properly they wouldnt use independents.......people will pay gladly for good service and workmanship they can trust.............Some of our customers have been using us for over 30 years, but then we have staff with 33 years service aswell.

You might want to take a look on the unofficial Picasso site on This Link

No it isnt possible to have bluetooth and MP3 in one set........regards configuring it to use the lead.......never been asked so i dont know yet.....and seeing as the radio is a JBL unit and different to the others there's no reason to assume it will be the same.

If the suspension system hadnt been bled it would be too low, and wouldnt go up at all
-
Failed spheres wont cause the vehicle to sit too high or too low......they will only cause a hard ride. It sounds like either the height corrector has siezed or the plastic link clip that connects it to the anti roll bar has become detached. Advice: If you are going to work on the vehicle suspension make sure it's supported by axle stands. If you dont and the suspension should drop you will be crushed!!!!!!

Chances are the particle filter on the exhaust is in need of replacement and the the eolys fluid additive tank requires refilling. This is a service item that requires doing at 50,000 miles or 75,000 miles dependent on the age of the vehicle. If your vehicle hasnt achieved the mileage where replacement should have been done it might benefit from a run up the motorwayfor 15 minutes at 50mph.
-
The first 1000 mile service is a check and doesnt include an oil filter change. If you want it done your dealer would be able to quote you for it though.

Yup thats right, i've heard were getting one..........i hope they sell well, and hope everythings sorted.
