Mike, Did you use the Citroen supplied lead in the end or the Ebay One?......and did you try plugging it in to see if worked straight off or did you get the aux port activated?.......how much did they charge to activate it?

Its simple to check if you have a problem: If its burning less than a litre in 1000 miles thats normal. According to your figures your consuming half a litre in 1000 miles......sounds good to me. Oil consumption will vary according to how a vehicle is driven & how often it is checked, the less in it the hotter it gets the quicker it burns. I would top it up to the correct upper mark on the dipstick and then run the vehicle for 1000 miles to establish the rate its using it. While doing this check the oil regularly to establish that it isnt getting near the minimum mark. If you come up with less than 1litre in 1000 miles its ok.....nothing to wory about.

The tailgate Glass..... i think it has a pin switch, does this operate a boot light?.......when you open the glass and look down at the wiper motor fitted to the 'metal' part of the tailgate....is there a plastic cover it, is it fitted correctly?.....is there a push switch in the glass part that makes contact with the plastic cover? I ask cos something in the back of my mind tells me i had problems with a plastic trim that surrounds the latch/wiper mechanism .......either way, its caused you to think and come up with a possible point in time that something hasd been repaired and the fault started.......its worth mentioning when you take your car back in. Of course theresa always the possibility that the wires to the glass have been squashed when reassembling the stop lamp spoiler.

1: Thats good it should do, its obviously seeing an increase of battery voltage on starting. 2: Thats Good 3: Im assuming from this statement that your locking the vehicle and returning after 30 minutes, thew dash has the message economy mode on it. 4: Try to make sure any additional equipment is unplugged when leaving the vehicle (the TOM Tom), Multiplayer shouldnt be a problem. if you have anything plugged into the vehicle that can cause a power drain it will cause the BSI not to 'go to sleep', because of this after 30 minutes of power drain without the engine running it will go into economy mode. Obviously there are other things that can cause these problems, for instance interior light staying on, boot lights and glovebox lights, sunvisor illumination (where fitted)...............Have knowd a door lock to go faulty in the past causing this type of problem, also water in the wiring connector of a towbar, and power invertors left plugged in. Just out of interest.......did your citroen dealer experience the problem, or say no fault found.......did you take the tom tom out when you left the car with them?
-
1: when you start the car does economy mode dissapear off the dash? 2: if the vehicle has been on a run and you turn the vehicle off for 5 minutes does economy mode appear on the display? 3: Is it just a case that if you leave the vehicle for longer than 30 minutes economy mode appears on the display. 4: have you had any electrical components fitted to the vehicle, towbar, radio/cd.......is anything left in any of the 12v power sockets with the ignition off.....mobile phone, laptop power supply? As far as i know the duration of economy mode cant be adjusted on C5 II ......economy mode is activated when the BSI detects a current drain for a period of time without the battery recieving a charge.

I ike this bit on there FAQ page: How will it affect my warranty? There is no change needed to any hardware for engine remapping. Therefore there should be no affect on your warranty. We have had an example where a customer had lowered his suspension and bottomed out causing his sump to crack. Within ¼ of a mile he had run the engine dry and destroyed the turbo too. The engine was completely replaced under warranty despite the fact that he had lowered the suspension too. Yeah...........right........but what about the remapping.......how does that affect your warranty?..........is it a deliberately misleading answer?

Nah, probably a C3 or C4

Well the labour time code book says it includes bumper replacement, so unless someone finds an easier/quicker way......yes the bumper does need to be removed

Go to a breakers yard, get a seat belt buckle and leave it in the clasp........as for the indicators............well if you dont use them, like most other road users they will be quiet :D

a word of advice...........if it tilts and goes back to rest be a happy man. If you take it to a garage it will undoubtedly cost a fortune to fix.

Depends on whether the left hand drive car is being driven in this country or in france!

its the little dimple you can see sticking out on the underside of the n/s door mirror

A spare bulb kit will not avoid a fine if you are travelling with faulty lights, but replacing a bulb on the spot may avoid the cost and inconvenience of a garage call out. On some cars it is inadvisable or indeed impossible for anyone other than a qualified technician to change a headlamp bulb or lamp unit eg high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps, so carrying spare bulbs is not an option. However, carry spare bulbs for any lights which can be easily and/or safely changed.

Why do you want to sit on it ?

Its funny that the handbook says D1S....did you disbelieve it? What is the difference between D1S and D2S bulbs? H.I.D. D1S lamps are the so called third generation design. They have the igniter electronics/housing integrated with the bulb eliminating the need for transporting high tension spikes (up to 20 KV) from the electronic ballast unit whereas in the D2S lamps, the igniter is part of the ballast. The result of this improvement is that EMI is greatly reduced and therefore the risk for radio frequency noise and interference to other avionics is minimized with the third generation D1S lamps. Also, ballast to lamp wire length can be up to 10 feet long (approx 12" is typical for D2S lamps). D1S HID Bulb - The Type you need D2S HID Bulb

In principle drilling the hole isnt the problem i would be more interested in whats on the other side of the hole your drilling.

The reason it shuts off is for safety reasons, the control is built into the software and would require main dealer to alter it.

Give your dealer your chassis number, they will be able to confirm.......but the answer is possibly, it does affect some C5's.
