john h Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Any info on stripping the drivers seat cushion to give attention to the padding on the bolsters, the sponge feels like it has fallen inside the framework Quote
paul.h Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 A quick look at the procedures indicate the seat cover is held under the seat at the front and sides by 3 long clips that remove with a screwdriver and the back has elastic that hooks to the frame. Have a look with a torch and mirror to see if it can be done without removing the seat or any of the other bits of plastic trim around the seat. Quote
john h Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 What is the issue with the drivers seat, is it the foam disintegrating or something with the frame, I see there are many tales of woe with the c4 seats, is anybody doing a replacement cushion ? Quote
paul.h Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Citroen will sell you one. The seat base cushion is listed in the parts and includes its cover. To get the right part no. needs your VIN but a quick check indicates a new one may be around £700. On our first C4 (2008) and C3 (2003) bits of foam from the seat would appear on the floor next to the door and the seat base cushion at the door edge seemed to be losing its padding. I would imagine that if a large person used the car then the seat bases would not last long. I also remember posts on the C5 seat frames breaking. Quote
john h Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Only paid £60 for my first car never mind £700 for a seat Quote
