ashtonw25 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Hello, Does anybody know how to remove the dashboard on the 2010 model Citroen C3? Thanks Will Quote
paul.h Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 How much of the dashboard do you want to remove ? Quote
ashtonw25 Posted January 16, 2014 Author Posted January 16, 2014 I want to remove the bit behind the steering wheel so that i can put in some wires Quote
paul.h Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 The trim panel below and to the right of the steering wheel looks as if it just pulls off after prising out a switch panel and disconnecting the wiring. It is not detailed in the Citroen procedures but this is based on the parts diagram picture. Quote
ashtonw25 Posted January 18, 2014 Author Posted January 18, 2014 Thank you. Is it possible to remove the horizontal bit that touches the windscreen also? Quote
paul.h Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 This is listed as a weatherstrip or finishing seal. Unfortunately in the dash removal , it is noted in the procedures as the last item to remove (unclip) from the dash once the complete dash has been removed from the car - if it is possible to do this with the complete dash in place the procedures do not say. coastline taxis Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 What wires are you trying to put in. Yours is a can bus system that dosnt take kindly to wires being added and can cause all kinds of problems Quote
ashtonw25 Posted January 20, 2014 Author Posted January 20, 2014 Chargers from sat nav and phone. I was planning on wiring it to the 12v outlet near the handbrake and running them up behind the trim and dashboard Quote
paul.h Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 If you look in the handbook under fuses, there is one F9 in the glove box that is listed as Audio system (after-market), 12 V socket, portablenavigation support supply. It is likely there will be wiring connectors behind the dash for these that could be used for your phone and sat nav and it will be ignition controlled so should not result in a flat battery. Where are you thinking of locating the chargers and the connections to the sat nav and phone and what type of connectors will you use ? Quote
ashtonw25 Posted January 21, 2014 Author Posted January 21, 2014 Thats probably a good place to start thank you. I was planning on having the phone charger coming out just behind the steering wheel somewhere and the sat nav near the horizontal vent in the center of the dash. I've got some splice connectors which i was planning to use. I have got a 12v to 5v usb transformer to power the chargers Quote
