I have 2 window stickers one on the rear side window and one on the rear heated inside of the window, I am going to put a hair drier on them to soften them up, I did this with my old car.

What I would like to know is, the sticker on the rear window is on top of the de-mister, do you think this will harm the de-mister?

Or leave well alone, one is save your life boat the other is a seaside town but both look like they have seen better days.

Regarding the sticker on the heated rear window, I would leave it where it is. Any attempt to remove it could well damage the printed filament. Your hairdryer together with a scraper should remove the stickers on the side windows.

If not already done, wetting/rubbing the stickers with a cloth soaked in de-icer can remove the glue and sticker. Other solvents such as acetone (nail polish remover), white spirit (turps) or methylated spirit can help.

With the rear window heater, you could try a bit not on an element wire with the solvent and see if it lets the sticker be very easily removed and if so and you decide to try the rest of it, wipe along the element wire rather than across it but do not use a scraper.

Thanks for the tips, will leave the rear window sticker as it is for save the life boats or destroy the de-mister.

Just a note, I tried S for sport mode to day, just the job for overtaking, the kick down is a bit sluggish.

We have it down to a fine art now, my hubby presses S when I tell him to, I'll make a driver out of him yet, only joking.

Removed all stickers, it was tricky, my hubby peeled them both off.

I will have to do some heavy breathing to steam up the windows then will try out the rear de-mister.

No need to try the heavy breathing, with it on the window will feel a bit warm or breath on the window with the heater on. If it did get damaged, it is likely only the wires that had the sticker on would not warm up and you can get a paint to repair them. I have used the paint and it does work but no need to use the template in the kit, just apply the paint with the brush over the damaged section of wire http://www.halfords.com/motoring/auto-parts/auto-electrical-supplies/granville-rear-heater-repair
