delart Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Hi I have a c5 that will be going by Tuesday 31/3/2015 if anybody wants any parts? Quote
Johndouglas Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 What's its problem that makes it terminal? Quote
delart Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 It is MOT'd until early next year, I've done 60,000 trouble free miles in it and my partner is still using it daily for going to work etc.but it has lots of miles on the clock, the cambelt hasn't been changed while I've owned it and the clutch is tired. There are other bits and pieces wrong with it as well but these are the main problems. Quote
Johndouglas Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 A new clutch and a change of cambelt will cost you much less than buying another car that you'll know nothing about. 2 ltr C5 engines will run for ever if they are looked after. Quote
delart Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 Thanks I know, did buy a cam belt kit for it but have five cars so one (at least lol) has to go even bought a spare set of alloys for it! Quote

Muggle Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Hi thereIf you do decide to break it rather than fix it up or sell it as a runner, I could do with the silver sill plate on the driver's side, but I'll take the pair if you don't want to split. Does the rear window in the tailgate open electrically? If so, I might take that. Also, assuming it's working I could do with the driver's window switch assembly as a spare, because mine is on the blink. Where is the car? I'm in the Wirral. Cheers KC Quote
Muggle Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Hi again, sorry, only just realised it is a saloon and so the rear window is a non-starter! Let me know about the sill plate and drivers window switch assembly if you will.KC Quote
paul.h Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I have moved this topic into a subforum since ones outside of one do not show after 2 days and are then difficult to find. Quote
