paul.h Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 I have just tried to view our car insurance documents by logging in to Admiral and found they have recently made changes so our browser is no longer supported by Admiral so documents can not be seen. Our PC uses Vista and Internet Explorer 9 is the latest that will work on Vista but to upgrade to IE 10 or 11 needs Vista to be replaced by Windows 8 or later or the PC to be replaced. Anyone else come across this ? I will need to see if Admiral will revert back to paper copies of documents. Quote
Randombloke Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 First world problem. Load Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Opera in the most recent version to view the necessary. Internet Explorer is not the only browser, and has not existed for Macs for close on ten years. Alternatively, you could replace Windows with a non Microsoft OS, and save a fortune in software purchases. Quote
mhedwig Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 I always print off my documents when I do my renewal with my insurance company Quote
paul.h Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 Thankyou for the advice. As a quick fix the Admiral docs were viewed on a relative's lap top with IE10. They had to be checked asap to make sure an address and mileage change had been correctly carried out since in the past changes have not always been carried out correctly but this time only a phone no. was wrongly noted. Longer term though the browser may need to be changed and when the insurance is due for renewal maybe go somewhere else. Quote
