The LDS fluid is in the suspension system. The reservoir is under the bonnet and over the driver's side front wheel. It is a greyish plastic container with a screw top. Don't confuse it with the coolant tank. It may have a small label attached "Total LDS" To check the level, start the engine, put the suspension to the lowest setting, allow to stabilize then switch off. Unscrew the cap and there will be a slight hiss. You should be able to see the fluid at the bottom of the neck. If you can't, it needs topping up with Total LDS. (Use nothing else. Any other fluid will harm the system. When the level is correct, replace the cap, start the engine and move the height lever to normal.

There are several other reasons for the stop light being on. It's really a matter of finding it. The quickest way would be looking at any fault codes with a diagnostic meter.

When checking the lds level with the car suspension at its lowest, was the fluid level up to the bottom of the tank filler strainer ? If yes then it does not need any more and do not put in too much since overfilling could cause the tank to split.

As well as the engine oil, coolant and brake fluid level checks, you should also check the brake pads at the front are not worn down since these have wear sensors. Is the engine temperature gauge showing a normal value approx half way ? Are there any warning messages or any of the other warning lights on such as the battery light or oil pressure light or brake warning light ? Do the warning lights all work when the ignition is first switched on to show that a bulb has not failed and you are missing a warning ?

dont put any more fluid in as you dont know its that and you can burst your reservoir tank by over filling it. when the stop light comes on what does the center display say . there should be a bong then the stop light will come on then the display for the stereo will tell you what area the fault is in
