If I was to remove the DPF and CAT from the exhaust system, I imagine there will be all kinds of errors flashing up on the display.

But will any of these actually cause the car to switch to limp home mode??

I can live with messages, but not the limp home!!

With the DPF removed it will more than likely go into limphome mode due to faults recorded with the particle filter pressure sensor.

mmmm,

thats what I was afraid off!!

The emmissions is not relevent as the dpf and cat are not required for the mot, its only a soot test.

The DPF removes soot in the exhaust, and the MOT test looks for soot or particulates. So, if the engine is rather old it may have an impact.
