Guest mrlewis2 Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 I`m new c5 owner and everything was fine even during very cold snow and ice, but when the weather warmed up it went weird.I tried to start and just get ticking noise thought the battery may have gone too flat so charged it up without removing battery, still wont start, tried unlocking with key not buttons and all combos of that as well as key in ignition and hold open button for min, still wont start, can see the immobilise comes on after it wont start and the key on dash but i can clear that by pushing button on key Quote
paul.h Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Do not think I can help but a bit more info will help others. Year/model/mileage of car, does the engine turn over on the starter and if so is this at usual revs, where is the ticking noise coming from, anything noticed before the problem began, have you tried the spare key, what voltage did your charger go up to and any particular reason for not disconnecting the battery before charging, can you hear the fuel pump in the tank when trying to start, is there petrol in the tank ? Will tell you something and better than guessing. Quote
