I've had both....EGS takes a wee bit of getting used to, but once mastered, it's the Dogs....!
-
My 1.6 HDi EGS 6 speed does that too... :( Strange thing is that my previous 1.6 HDi 5 speed manual didn't, it was always smooth..

Check your door handle isn't sticking open...
-
No problem yet, be interested in the result when you get it sorted...

If you really feel the VTS is lacking power....you will have to go elsewhere to get the extra umph....the expense of a major conversion, if possible, would be truly prohibitive... :) However, if you feel you can justify the search for those added bhp's, I would suggest that your licence is in serious danger of expiring somewhat prematurely.. The amount of times you'll be able to benefit from that extra power will be few and far between....you need to offset that against the expense you're going to incure for those odd occasions...and the possibility of having to walk instead of drive to your destination... ;) I ride a Motorcycle, a BMW Boxer with 85 ponies... Last year I did a lap of the Nurburgring with my wife as pillion.... Three other friends on their bikes joined me...all of which had more power than mine, one almost double the power.... and all solo... After the first mile, I didn't see any of them again until they pulled off the track....after me... ;) More power does not mean more progress.... :D

-
Looks good... :D

C4. Got mine pretty mucked this weekend up north....Most Northwesterly Hotel in the UK....Most definitely Closed too.......... :D
-
Yes, had it's first service at 1000 miles...didn't make any difference.... I'll leave a few more, probably another 1500 then see how it's doing... :D
-
I had a brief look a few days ago and found a box under each seat, both with plastic covers....so couldn't determine what they were... It was not the best of weather so gave up....I'll check in more detail soon as the Snow's gone...

I've put about 1500 miles on my EGS now...it's good fun for sure.... I use the 'Auto' function knocking around Town, then slip it over to 'Manual' when out and about... It's just like a normal manual without having to use a clutch pedal...the Paddles are just in the right place and a gentle stroke is all it takes to swap cogs... ;) For the most part, unless accelerating hard, the changes are barely perceptible especially once in the higher gears...you need to keep an eye on the Gear Counter in the Rev Counter screen In comparison to my previous VTR+, it is basically the same...ride wise, feel etc... On the down side...The EGS motor seems noisier inside the car at slow speeds around Town, it's not just this car, but noticed it in the Demonstrator too. It's about 10% worse on fuel consumption which I am really pissed off about when the 'blurb' says it could be 'Up to 6% better'! Wouldn't bother if it was the same, but worse is not on.! :D and no, I've not changed my driving style. I will be getting the Dealer to check if there something wrong in a wee while once I have a few more miles on it, you never know, it could improve as things loosen up.....
-
Difficult to tell the scale of it...put something next to it like a 50p piece... :o
-
Go for it....the shape of the padding is pretty much as the normal VTR+ seats...good quality feel to it.. As for cold..Noooo, they're heated, three settings, 1) GENTLE GLOW.. 2) WARM & COSEY.. 3) BETTY SWALLOCKS... :o
-
The Leather option....which includes heating of the nether regions.... :o
-
If it's running fine, go to where you feel best the best deal is, after all, it's still under warranty which wont be affected if you get it done as per schedule.... Then wait until the next service and take it to the Citroen dealers, by which time there will no doubt be a stack more updates... :D If you get a problem meantime...let the warranty sort it out..
-
Legally there is no reason why you can't take it to the Peugeot dealer providing it's serviced in accordance with the official schedule... Is it just the price, or are you unhappy with the Citroen dealer for some reason?
-
I guess being north of the Border will also result in a wee bit of travel....anyone else up here thinking of getting it plugged in and tweaked..........?
-
Now this is Speeeeed.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDph5U4Fk_0

70 mph or....112.65408kmh.... ;)

Plus....it will no doubt arouse 'Interest' after a bump....not that I would wish a bump on anyone.... Just something to bear in mind, whereas the remap is not visible...to the naked eye, so to speak.. ;)

Hi Dino, I think most of us here are experiencing a few problems...some those you mentioned are becoming common unfortunately... :D You're right, the Car is nice, just not up to the quality we should be getting for the cost... :o
-
A few on Fleabay... http://search.ebay.co.uk/citroen-c4-air_W0...PageNameZRC0021 Or you could try your Dealer.... :o
-
Keep it in 'Manual' and it wont change down.... :o
