  1. Haven't got it yet, pick it next weekend.... I'll let you know then, unless someone else comes along with the answer in the meantime..
  2. Check out this if you're after a bargain.... they should be £188 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-CITROEN-C4-C...1QQcmdZViewItem I just bought one for the new car that I'm finally picking up next week.... Phillip is a nice guy to deal with too........
  3. Who's this message for.....?
  4. I would be interested...fitted a kit to my BMW Bike a couple of years ago...Brilliant, in every sense of the word..
  5. Yup, that's the reason for sure...depends on your driving style and the type of journeys travelled....
  6. This would appear to be a 'Citroen' problem.... When I ordered my new C4 Coupe in September, I was told "about 8 weeks".. Towards the beginning of November, the salesman called me to tell me my Car would be ready for collection on the 27th Nov. Great! A couple of days before the due date, I called the dealership to arrange a time to collect..." I'll ring you back in five minutes" Half an hour later.."Sorry, I can't tell you when it will be here, .....sorry"...No explanation could be given apart from "The Computer say no"... I leave it a week then ring again to get an update...my salesman isn't available...." can someone else help you Sir?" the receptionist asks and puts me through to ....shall we call him 'Pete'... I explained my query...."I'll ring you back in five minutes"...where had I heard that before.... Sure enough, 30 minutes went by, nothing! As I was due to be going out shortly, I phoned them back and asked for...."Pete" "Sorry Sir, Pete's not in this afternoon."... Now I am really not happy and explain to the Receptionist just that..."can someone else help?" and puts me through to...shall we call him "Ron"? Go through the whole story again..."But Pete's not in the afternoon Sir!" 'YES I KNOW THAT!!" I replied...turns out Pete took my call the buggered orf home and that was that..... Anyway, 'Ron' calls me back, actually within the five minutes he promised, and tells me my car is now due on the 18th Dec...I'm not happy, but at least I'm informed... Monday 4th Dec. my salesman calls me " Your car will be here tomorrow so you will be able to collect it Thursday or Friday this week. I wont be here but someone else will hand it over to you". Great, a new car for the weekend...Sir! So...I ring today...and speak to 'Pete', as it turns out, and explain the reason for my call..." Can I have your number and I call you back in five minutes" I give him number which has a distinctive last 3 digits which he comments on....."Oh, I remember that number" and went a wee bit sheepish.... 35 minutes later, he rings back, which in itself is a result! "Sorry Sir, your car wont be here until the 12th December" Well that was the 'Blue Touch Paper lit'! He got both Barrels.....culminating in my insistence that a note be put on file that they did NOT ring me again until the Bloody car was actually physically with them...! Absolute shower of Tossers!
  7. I don't like the colour of the displays on my C4...Yellow-ish just doesn't cut it for me... ;) Are they LEDs or filament bulbs...? Just wondering as the Rev counter display turns Red at the limit as we know.... Maybe there's a way to swap them all to a colour that is more attractive....anyone know...?
  8. No wind noise but have noticed the passenger door on mine not quite in line at the bottom leading edge....not bothered right now as I'm waiting for a replacement car....which is late...
  9. Fitted a kit to my Bike in the Avatar....brilliant in every sense of the word... They use less power than normal bulbs and last, in theory the lifetime of the vehicle fitted to....not cheap though... What price are getting them at Welshguy?
  10. Using the tyre size conversion software on one of the alloy wheel suppliers sites... 225/40x18 gives you the same rolling radius as the standard fitment 205/50x17 I'm just about to place an order for a set of 8x18" with the 225/40x18 wheels and tyres....which I have been told will fit... We'll see... ;)
  11. Angel Tunning quote £350 for an extra 35 BHP.... 1.6 hdi (110) .. £10 per Pony doesn't seem that off the wall.. Same price for the hdi (90)... It doesn't say anywhere that you need a CDA too... http://www.angeltuning.co.uk/pdfs/engine/Citroen.pdf Another site... http://dieseltuner.co.uk/citroen_diesel_tuning.html
  12. I've had my VTR+ Hdi for 14 months 13000 miles and No Electrical faults... Picking up a new one in 6 days with EGS, I guess that shows how confidant I feel about the car....so far (That'll no doot be the end of the that then... )
  13. Check out their site here... http://www.angeltuning.co.uk/ They claim an extra 35 BHP....sounds good...
  14. Will do... They seem to be as rare as rocking horse poo..... No dealer locally had any to peek at and as you say, there is a real lack of detailed shots in citroens' press pack photos Good to see that the door cards have leather too, that small strip of fabric by the grab slot gets grubby, bad idea in my view....
  15. I'm picking up my new coupe, week on Monday, it's taken 7 weeks from order and it's been spec'd up to leather, glass roof and JBL as well as the Paddle shift.... 'T' minus 9 days and counting.... :) Oh, congrats on the new jobs too.....
  16. If it's that bad, I would say that it's a garage job, I had that bearing go on my BX 16valve, but not as bad as yours sounds.....it took some serious heat and lots of swearing by the technician to sort it.....
