See your the only person i know who has so much problems with build quality. Rest of us had the odd little rattle thats about it. Makes me think you basically got a lemon and if it was such a bad example why not refuse the car and get them to get you another one? 1st revisions of cars are never gonna be great its a known fact they all have issues doesnt matter who makes them. Merc, audi, etc have all released brand new cars to then recall them for various problems. As i said in another thread i have spoken to bmw owners who were seriously dissapointed with there cars as they had rattles and breakdowns and the dealers could not even fix a rattle.

New focus is no better built than a C4. Think your basing your views on your C4 only Z3, Fact is there are issues with every car. My mate had issues with his new 3 series and the dealer just can not fix a rattle. Like the Z3 as well they had numerous issues when they first came out but thats american build quality for you (If you didnt already know its not actually a german car) just has a german badge on the front. Same with the merc A class they liked to tip over and have repeadtly been known to fall apart and rattle like crazy. Know someone with a brand new MK5 Golf GTI..So far his spoiler and brake lights have literally fallen off not come loose but actually found off the car.

Yup not cheap at all. Not sure about any other suppliers of C4 blades either.

See looking at some of your problems makes me think someone who didnt know what they were doing took those trims off and broke the clips. I have had mine on and off a good few times now broken a couple clips but sorted it again and even with an 800w RMS sub thumping in the boot i dont get any rattles from them and i have removed them quite a few times due to changing spoiler then changing back then changing again etc due to it being ripped off by some chav ***oops***. FOr those wondering what the word after chav was started in C and ended in T. Cant stand chavs especially when they wreck something of mine anger GRR! I can only think of one good reason to destroy my spoiler and that would be repeatedly smashing it into face repeatedly. I dont have an anger problem honest!

Wont be dissapointed mate. Driven all of the cars you said there and im driving a C4 so must say something handles a little bit worse than the focus but not that much driver abilities pay more of a part. Braking wise the C4 will have the focus. Either way new focus is ugly and as topgear said ford should have built the C4. And the meganes unless your getting a 225 are ugly, boring and there built ok but not that well and have there own issues too. I take back everything though if its a 225 cup / trophy as id have one in a heartbeat. Brake issue was a known problem with a fix now takes a fair few thousand miles before its noticed though and hopefully the new calipers discs and pads will make a difference. And the mats are a bit expensive but good quality. And most good mats arent cheap has to be said. I paid £37 for my mats i think a few months ago not sure if they have gone up but all the designs then were £37 according to the parts department might have brought more designs out i dont know. On the subject of fuel honestly try some of the more expensive diesel after using tesco fuel i find i get worse MPG and my car doesnt seem anywhere near as smooth to drive. Not entirely sure why as there are only a couple refineries but there must be something added or not added to the tesco stuff which makes the difference and im not the only person to have noticed this on these boards. Plenty of people have tried the ultimate diesel from BP and said there cars feel more powerful and get better MPG. And if you do notice more oomph and more mpg the fuel generally doesnt cost much different when you take into account extra MPG. i have a petrol engine but mine went up when i used optimax according to the trip computer im averaging 3mpg more on this tank than i did on the tesco stuff.

Depends on the popularity and amount of traffic you get on the site. And this site is gaining in popularity quite well now. And its becoming busier especially the C4 section.

It depends on your level of tints a light tint might not get noticed so much however if you went with a very dark tint you would likely get pulled depends what the police are like around your area. If you had limo tints on the front and you get pulled the police have the right to give you a nice fine and 3 points now. Recently became something you can get points for. Before you were just told to get them removed and go for an MOT and do a producer at the local station unless they were very dark then you were told to either remove them there and then or leave the car where it is. But they have changed it so you can now get 3 points for it up to you if you want to risk it some police arent that bad others are.

angel offer a 170bhp stilo. they say they can map it straight to 170 but they prefer to map it after its had a new manifold put on it so they do a 155bhp remap instead. And most of the companies all have the same kit. You literally buy the kit you need for certain cars so laptop box etc is needed for all of them. Sure if you asked the angel guys about it they would explain to you in detail. They also map the car while your driving it if you want so you can get a proper remap and not an off the shelf kind of thing. Like most company's there going to try make themselves look the best really its not the equipment that determines the result its whos mapping the car that determines the best results.

VTR+ has most of the gadgets just no TC (didnt need it) no xenon (would have liked) and no parking sensors (didnt want them)

i didnt know stuff like that was only on the VTR+ until just now find that a bit odd really woulda thought they put that kind of thing on the other models as well.

My mums will creep up to around 5 - 10 mph without you touching anything just the way there designed. I actually would not have expected the aston to do that i would have thought they used a robotised clutch rather than an auto type box.

All auto's do that. To cope with hill starts and to allow you easy reversing etc. They always creep forward its useful when your stuck in traffic. Only time i like driving my mums is when im stuck in traffic as i only need to use the brake.

..thats the problem last time i was going to scotland i had the cruise on and cause i was so relaxed with the climate on etc i was getting really tired since i had to do pretty much nothing. Make use of the speed limiter more. Thought it was funny this chav was giving it some by the side of me slammed my foot down hit 30 speed limiter kicked in i was ahead of him he goes screaming past thinking he beat me. i just wanted to play with him :o

I just hit the II button so the pause type one turns it off then when it is pressed again car accelerates back up to the last speed it was set at. Or can just press that then the +speed button to mark it to the current speed. Its useful but if i have it turned on too much i just get bored like to actually drive the car myself least them im more aware of whats happening i find.

did you take it for the 1000 - 1500 mile service? You should have like a coupon thing in the owners manual stating its a free service and needs to be done maybe they did not set the service indicator after doing that?

That another thing the VTR+ has over the VTR then which isnt mentioned in the specs.
