  1. Welcome back to the forums Lee that is if your back. Hows your C3 doing now? And hows your brothers he still having problems? Auto wipers on the C4 are actually rather good but they do like to stop at occasions i found usually when you brake to a stop they also stop so at traffic lights etc.
  2. Yup thats Citroens for you. Shame really cause the C4 is such a good car just not in the same league when it comes to performance or handling though as the ST. But no matter how hard I try I just can not find the ST a good looking car. All the cheap tacky bits of chrome everywhere ruin it for me. Plus the general shape. As a drivers car though absolutely brilliant. But will have to see what renaults new megane 250 is gonna be like. Dont like the way that looks either but the RS Megane is a great car as well. And Monaro's will likely keep a good price great cars and the tuning potential for them is crazy! You can easily 500bhp from that engine for a small amount of money. And give in you know you want a Mustang lol. I know I do would rather the vette but its a little more to buy and a lot more to insure and run lol. So why im looking at older stangs as my starting point into american motors. I would actually love a classic muscle car though nice 69 Camaro, 68 Charger, GTO etc. Just be a bit more difficult to keep one of those over here but so damn cool.
  3. Left hand drive would not bother me you would soon adapt the way you drive to get used to it. And insurance I bet is a lot cheaper than you think. Was cheaper than a 182 for me when i checked out a mustang. The old mustang GT the 5.0 is only a group 13 or 14 car. Think the 4.6 300+bhp ones come in around group 17 or 18. And cause you need specilist insurance it has the opposite effect and makes insurance cheaper especially if you belong to an entusiasts club which there are a few of in the uk. You get rather good insurance prices. And the monaro is a lovely car bit expensive though but very cool.
  4. not had that problem with mine in fact its quite stiff to move easily also find it doesnt bother my gear changing just getting to the handbrake but not that bad. Its only really there for when your cruising on the motorway anyways so i wouldnt really fancy reaching for the handbrake at 70+mph lol. And Mats a fool :-P but hey it got a laugh out of me well kind of a laugh more a oh god! But to answer the question does not look too hard to fit but i think the rest along is around £100 and then the cd change is a few hundred more unless you can find someone selling theres which is rather doubtful currently.
  5. See i love the C5 shaped vette prefer it to the newer one. But the new stang looks so damn nice. And both the vette and the mustang are not hard to look after over here actually. The vette can be serviced at your local vauxhall dealer due to it having same engine etc as the monaro. Mustang can be serviced at any ford dealer and parts are easy to find for both over here too. They also dont get bad mileage really for performance cars why im actually seriously considering going to an american car next. Have a big 4+ litre V8 and it'll still get 30mpg. Plus there cheap and easy to look after and easy to do anything to should you wish to add bits in future. Apparently the mustang engine is incredibly easy to do anything to your novice mechanic thats only ever changed an air filter can in around 10 hours supercharge a mustang and have it running properly. There supposed to be stupidly easy to work on. Would like a vette myself but i will be leaning towards an older stang mainly cause of the price and the fact cheaper to get bits for easier to live with day to day etc.

Yeah there cool. Few new cars have similar on the options list new clio can come with a sunroof like that as well cant open just makes the cabin much lighter and nice when cruising around in the summer.
  7. i was actually looking at stangs myself i saw a 99 SVT cobra convertible only £10,000 320bhp and after a few choice mods...namely a supercharger it'd be seriously quick and practical. mustangs do look gorgeous kitted up where as the vettes look better left standard.
  8. Only problem with stangs is there to slow unless modded the SVT costs about the same as a nice vette and is still down on power and has the areodynamics of a brick. Plus id just prefer a 5.7 over the 4.6 or the crappy 5.0 block of the stang. The 5.0 is dreadfully underpowered 200bhp from a 5.0 V8!

Sounds like a good idea any other suggestions or things you would like? I was thinking about maybe merging the jokes thing with the general section since its basically just supposed to be a conversation anything goes section might get people chatting a bit more on the forum which is what we need i think. And yeah black roof is the sunroof.
  10. See I have all the buttons for that on my steering wheel as well so I dont need the original stereo for anything. :P
  11. Go american! Corvette :P 350bhp and they can still get 30mpg then again they do around 1000rpm at 75 mph so not hard to see why they can get decent mpg lol.
  12. Which 182 version theres a few different ones. Some of which had rather hard suspension setups especially the trophy but there designed with track days in mind and they handle so well. No way in hell a C4 could ever keep up with a 182 hell most cars cant lol.
  13. The armwrest came in VTR+ / VTS models as standard. And yes you can buy them from citroen in the accessories section for the C4.
  14. Fun HA! Gonna be a crap summer this year unfortunately. Wont be able to get away this time. Been a while since i spent a full summer in this country though. Went to tunisia last year year before spent a few months in canada etc. But just dont have the money this time. Will have to see what i can do though want to try find myself a half decent job get some money clear off my overdraft credit card etc. Kind of incurred massive debt as a student lol.
  15. The guy passes pretty much every test the police officer can throw at him i just found it hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grX-cLZIFR8...rch=drunk%20cop
  16. Least you have your calipers i have been waiting since mine went in for them. Said they would ring me to tell me still waiting on my call.
  17. Yeah take back to the dealer shouldnt take too long. I need to fix the rattles i have coming from the rear where the bodyshop messed up taking my boot to bits refitting the spoiler. They did it the same time as i showed them the boot was catching on the rear bumper and causing it to scratch there fix....stick some matching colour stickers ot my car and give it me back was not impressed with that.
  18. Only thign i miss about smaller engines lol the MPG you get. But ah well my 1.6 is now managing 31mpg so not too bad. Still put around £50 or more in a week. Should go down in a few days though since i will be moving home wont be using the car as much.
  19. cruise control could be faulty clutch sensor kown issue. also a new software update for diesels that have an issue with the cruise. The heater one is a new one though as far as im aware os you got a unique issue! congrats lol
  20. Its not been so bad around here recently 92p a litre at the local garage isnt too bad. 99 for optimax. But god knows why anyone would spend £2.40 a litre is beyond me unless you have the cash to throw away and own a lambo / ferrari etc then it might be worth it but then again most ferrari drivers just seem to go posing in them women used ot pick her son up at a school in a 360 spyder near me. I mean what a waste of a car for a bloody school run!
  21. How many cars get a full size 17" alloy with tyre for a spare? Plus how many cars spare wheel wells are big enough for a full size rim and tyre? The answer not many. The navidrive thing is just one of those things that happens specs do change between cars unfortunately and countries. Like in france you can get a VTS with the 1.6 engine you cant here. Navidrive could have undergone similar spec differences in various countries and cars since its 1 system they change slighty for the car its going in. It doesnt even say if you get a colour or monochrome screen on the C4 in that bit on the citroen.com site. And i had a look at the mazda3 before getting my C4 nice cars was thinking about getting a 2.0 sport as they were still cheap on insurance bose stereo climate xeons etc great spec'd cars for the cash as well reliable etc but much more boring. And rather ugly compared to the C4.
  22. Just been looking around at various sites for things for the C4 cause i have been bored shitless and can not be bothered moving and packing any more of my thing up due to me moving in a couple days and to be without internet for a couple weeks. But anyways found a few things for those of us on here that might be so inclined to start modding. Engine mods http://www.dp-engineering.nl/ Bodymods. http://www.musketier.de/html/c4.html http://www.carequipment.be/gallery.asp?mer...itroen&model=C4 (load of pictures on here of various bits and pieces.) http://www.stxstyling.co.uk/StxStyling/Car.../Citroen-C4.php (site full of the most god awful bodykits around) http://www.clemens-motorsport.de/c_4.htm Suspension http://www.ultimate-suspension.com/ultimat...TROEN&modele=C4 If you know of anymore add them and if you think it would be useful i can always sticky the topic and anything else you guys would like just tell me and i can sticky it for you if you think others will find it useful.
  23. See my clio was more comfortable sometimes and less at others compared to the C4 depends on the ground going over. About the only thing i miss from the clio though is the chuckability of it just cant do the same with the C4 it understeers a fair bit more.

    C4 Drawer

Smack it a bit. might be somehting thats caught between the drawer and the top so smacking it a bit might loosen it otherwise could try putting a rag somewhere and levering it so it wont scratch anything.
  25. Wont even be useful for any of the cars im looking at next. Just pointless to be honest its good on highly tuned supras / skylines etc thats about it. And certificate of analysis ...id have to be certified for filling a car up with that! Be like £130 to fill the tank!
