Im sure when i had my stock system i used to be able to go forward and back with tracks stations by using the scroll wheel. Been along time since i had the steering controls though so cant remember exactly.

Ok I stole it from the clio forums but well it is funny. http://break.com/index/twisting_sisters.html

seatbelt pads are your friends. I had to get some as well for people that complained and the fact they dig into my neck as well which after a 6 hour drive to see family in scotland was a little annoying havnig it digging in. halfords sell some plain black ones so you cant really tell there on there from outside and there only a few quid so just put them on when needed

See i think the rear view in the coupe is brilliant theres only that small section which you cant see out but looking back all you really see is glass. as a result i find parking etc a doddle. Handles well for what it is as well just wish there was a little more feedback to be had. love the gadgets, looks and brakes. Yes the brakes might be a bit snatchy but the way you stop that is by being more gentle not difficult to do. And well the car does have the best brakes of any car in this class.

Also from what i have noticed on mine the total mileage reading on 1 of these displays will only read to 6250 miles or close to that cant remember if its 49 or not i reset mine a few weeks ago. I know its because this is when the reading would have reached 9999km.

Press the button on the end of the wiper stalk to cycle between sections you should notice numbered tabs 1 2 3 down the side of the fuel section. 1 is the instant mpg readout and amount of mileage left in the tank and also if you use it the distance till you arrive at the destination you selected. 2 and 3 are the same and both show number of miles travelled, mpg and average speed. If you hold the stalk button in when on menu 2 or 3 it will reset the numbers back to zero. So i use 2 between fill ups and 3 i only reset when it wont go any higher so i know the total consumption i have been getting over various tanks of fuel and various driving habits. Managed to prove to myself yet again though that optimax makes the car feel a whole lot better and mpg deffinately goes up. Changed to optimax again recently and i have got a 6mpg increase just changing fuel driving habits are exactly the same.

True it does indeed. Although C4owners seems to be winning but the c4ownersclub wasnt added straight away. So who wants c4owners? and who wants c4ownersclub? And whos gonna help me out with it? lol
-
Yours the diesel or petrol? If its the diesel its 12,500 miles between services, 20,000 for petrol.
-
Ok i manged to lock the topic so if you wanted to say something....sorry lol. We will blame that on alcohol its open again now so feel free to post. My vote goes for the C4sportsclub thing so count that as a vote extra since i null voted. howver can always set up a couple domains at less than £2 a year i really dont mind setting up a couple domains pointing towards the same thing lol.
-
Welcome to the forums / club mate. Were all lovely on here honest. And nice choice of car. VTR+ really does seem to be the choice spec if you cant afford the VTS.
-
I did a null vote as well so dont worry about it. And the sportsclub thing was just cause so many places seem to have the sportsclub name. xsara, c2, clio, to name but a few. And they cater for any car its just a name.
-
If you can think of anymore let me know and i will add them im just looking at what other forums use for theres and sportsclub seems a popular one so thought why not join the crowd lol. Im willing to buy it and sort the webspace out will just need some help setting a few things up most likely my HTML is so so but not up to much and my graphics skills are even worse lol.

Is this basically made to trick the navdrive into thinking your stopped so it will display films videos etc?
-
Copied link wrong mate need it without the ... in it.

Red with white stripes would look nice the orange colour isnt bad either or white. Black with silver would look cool as well.

It all depends but usually around 10,000+ you start to see a noticable gain in MPG etc and it'll continue going up for a short while more. Engine will also feel better and pull harder as its worn in more. And most of the people who drive more performance orientated cars and those that build them all seem to have one thing to say though about a new engine...Drive it hard from new will result in a more powerful engine at the end.

I really want to. Was my mums idea actually since she would be letting me borrow the money from her to save me getting loans etc. And she was curious how much they were in the states. Did some working out before i can get a new 07 GT premium for $27,000 which is around £14,000 After the extra costs its coming up for £20k but it would still cost more than that to get one here i know i have already looked can pick up the V6 for around that much but pft the whole point of an american car is to have a V8. Although the only thing is i wouldnt know if i should get the convertible or not most convertibles suck but well some cars can pull it off and thats one of them but id be worried about something like that with the amount of chavs around. Think i would have to have the bright red paint with the red leather though. lol.
-
Can spec up the car on jamjar im pretty sure...
-
You can pick up brand new VTR+ spec's on the net for £11k just depends where you look and where you buy form jamjar had some really good deals at one point.
-
Search is coming along nicely actually gimme a few months and there may be an 06 / 07 mustang gt sat on my drive if all goes well i may be going out to the states to buy a brand new one after importing etc it works out cheaper the cars half price buying it out there i can sort it for the SVA myself and shipping is not that expensive. So will have to see what happens but a fully loaded mustang would be rather nice.
-
"Rear parking sensors (directionally audible and visual)" Thats from the specs on the vts on the citroen website. And sure the mirrors were standard on all VTS's.
-
Go on mate you know ya want too and im sure chris would sort you out with a good deal. Get rid of the 1 series you hardly drive it now anyways.

Thats crap i took mine in the other day for the brakes to be done mentioned a couple other things went back 5 hours later they had done the brakes, new suspension bushes sorted my exhuast and taken it for a test drive and cleaned it inside and out. First time i can honestly say the service was amazing. Think they have been reading this forum as soon as i said no one had called me for my brake thing i got a call and all the complaints i had not one this time service was brilliant just a shame its not like that all the time.

The VTS is 90bhp litre not down that much when your thinking of it that way. 180bhp from a 2 litre isnt bad. New engine coming out next year is similar power from a 1.6 its charged though. Plenty of other cars with 180bhp from 2 litre engines that are considered performance cars Clio 182, 206 gti etc. With the clio pegging 0 - 60 in 6.4 ish usually. The engines are fairly high strung nearly 200bhp from an N/A 2 litre 4 banger is rather good to be honest. Where as the Straight 6 in the bmw obviously has higher capacity more cylinders resulting in more torque resulting in more power etc etc. And i find my C4 fairly easy to pull away in 1500 - 2000rpm pulls away fine. It'll pull away fine with no gas just depends how good your clutch control is. As i said i can get it into 5th and crusing at nearly 30 without using the gas once it just takes a little longer to get there. My usually thing to do in slow traffic is just stick it in 2nd and let the idle revs move me along slowly.

20bhp from a diesel is piss easy mate. Most of the people offering maps rather than a stick on tuning box will see 35+ on a lot of diesel engines. Been told i can expect at least 12bhp from my 1.6 petrol. Thing is depending on the car and the states of tune of the engine to begin with maps might not always get that much. The 1.6 TU petrol engine is very very tuneable theres a few of them on the other side of 300bhp and when stuck in a 106gti etc are stupidly quick. However some petrol engines are so highly tuned to begin with you see very little gains. Look at the VAG TDI engines though reguarly you see the 130bhp lump remapped to over 180bhp. and the 150 goes over 200 most of the time as well. With many on the golf and seat forums easy able to prove that with RR graphs. Best way to think about it with remaps is 10% ish for N/A petrol 30 - 35% Petrol Turbo 40%+ Turbo Diesel. Those are rough estimates but usually hold true. Its the turbo that gives the massive increase though and the way diesels work. the 1.6 diesel lump from psa will map to over 13bhp without a problem. The petrol will go to around 125 with a remap. Fiats 115bhp JTD ump maps to over 155bhp and i have seen before and after runs on the rollers with that. And the car is still going fine now 3 years later.
