If you want to remove the engine mount assembly, you've got to remove the drive shaft because it passes through it, but if you're just replacing the flexible bush, it might be possible to remove the old one in situ.
Probably a fault developing in the switching for the headlights. Unfortunately all the switches that are controlled from under the steering wheel are all within the same unit - the Comm2000. The bad news is that they cost a lot of notes.
Since one company says it's manual and the other company says it's auto, I would be inclined to believe the one that's right. Do you have a gear stick? :P
Neither have I any complaints about them. It's important to keep pressure on the key and the bolt when undoing them - otherwise the key slips off and rounds off the edges.
If you have factory fitted alloys you should have two adapters to undo the four locking bolts. I keep one in the boot with the wheel and the other one in the drop down cubby to the right of the steering wheel.
That's exactly as I see it. I've been thinking about changing mine for a new one - but the closer I look at the latest Exclusives, the more reasons I see to stay with what I've got.
Since the very first Citroen with hydropnuematic suspension, the handbrake has always been on the front wheels. Apparently it's not possible to have a handbrake operate correctly on the rear axle.
Sounds a bit of alright. Keep us posted on how it behaves in the future. When is your MOT due? I'll be interested to hear the smoke test result. Does the guy visit your premises or do you go to him?
I currently tow at 79% with my Avondale 480 and C5 Estate. Generally I maintain 6th gear for most of the time and average 30mpg. The van is fitted with a Winterhoff 3000 and is rock steady without any pitching. Over my 47 years of caravan ownership I've had five different vans towed with a variety of cars. "Weight ratio" is talked about much more now than it used to be. Twenty years ago my tow car was a Citroen BX TZDturbo and it towed an Avondale Quantock. Each year it did the 1300 mile journey to southern Spain and handled the hills brilliantly, although going down required care. Then the BX was the Caravan Club's Tow Car of the Year, but even with my modest Quantock it was towing at 94%. Should you change cars? - I would wait and see how your present one behaves.
A belt can sometimes look alright when it's fitted on the engine, but it isn't till it's taken off and turned inside out that all the splits at the base of the teeth become apparent. At that stage some of the teeth are ready to be ripped off and the damage is done. If you have doubts about it, change it. At 109K you are on borrowed time.
When you switch on the ignition can you hear the lift pump in the tank run. It just runs for a few seconds then cuts out. Maybe hear it better if you lift the back seat.
