indeed welcome!! It is very cool that we have members from all kinds of far fetched places, Syria, Estonia and the Czech Republic that I am aware of.

yeah, nobody goes sticking their head under there in normal circumstanses... and your second paragraph...have you been drinking this mornig Rich??
-
very good sum up that Rich! you can see why Citroen can price it so low when you start poking around and looking under things. But you have to be looking to notice, I had my head down near the pedals this morning to put a cover back over some bolts behind the clutch pedal and it is pretty bare down there but hey hum. There are quite a few exposed wires under the bonnet but that is not my domain...The RAC will deal with it if it breaks...

no, the very camp (no really!) I think his name was BJ. And one of the women that i have seen on there too, I dont believe she was in it enough to get her name mentioned bit excuse the vulgarity but she'd get it
-
35K is bloody good! maybe it is because you have much more engine braking than I so you can just drop down a couple of gears whilst I have to brake... The over servo'd brakes...I really dont think they are that bad, when someone else dives the car they say the brakes are harsh but when i had the 307 for a month I found them to be the same... I have the same rattle behind the dash, sounds like it is coming for the centre console per chance??

same here. When I went to donnington to the Renault (Rubbish) day there where a couple of air hostess's that have been on Airline (the fly on the wall easyjet programme) which was nice

I think that is the only real issue with the car is the build quality, it is good but but it next to something like an Audi there is no competition, but then again I didnt pay 25-30K for it so you get what you pay for. That said there are a lot of cars that are more prestige and more expensive that arn't nearly as good. Mercedes Benz for example are really struggling from what I hear. A company car driver such as yourself will be testing the mettle of any car given to you whether it be a Citroen or BMW or whatever you may have and 50K miles in under 2 years is a lot of wear and tear. How have you found consumables lasted?? brakes and tyres etc? my brakes are starting to squeek a bit so I think it is about ready for a new set of pads but I think under 10K is pretty shoddy...

even when your pished?? self driving car, clearly the way of the future

now that all the software updates are out it works too, so lee says anyway...it does other stuff too, big screen for the cd player and I think you can turn it into TV/DVD screen I seem to recall
-
I think there is only Leemarsh who has it...it does look fly and will help with resale value...
-

you dont have a leg to stand on mate, you bought it so therefore all the grief that I/your colleagues/the rest of this forum/the guys on Xsara sports will give you. Dear Mrs Ham, Please may Mr Ham have his VTS back? His is getting abuse from all of his friends about the Clio and I think it may damage him. He is a bit of a wimp as he is not riding his bike as it is winter time so his fingers are getting cold and mittens do not work well with the "biker" look. My other half is willing to lend you her Impreza WR1 as you are clearly a woman who appriciates her cars. A plea from all at CitroenPiccaso.org
-
I know I cant spell...not my fault I am simple...
-
right then question of the day...why do car tyres only run at 45PSI when pushbike tyres are normally around 130PSi region?? its probably really simple but my head wont compute it
-
done mine twice in 15 months....not really a problem
-
I reckon you should see how long to you can go without cleaning the Clio!! you wont last a week :P I was following a quarry truck the other morning just after it had been raining, the front of my car is now caked in mud. 4 hours washing/clay baring/polishing/waxing foiled in 30 seconds. Futher Mucker!
-
I have completly the opposite responce!! I cannot get my wheels to lock. The only time they did was on ice and that was for a few seconds before it sorted itself out.
-
the hazzards thing is a load of crap I reckon. They didnt come on when I had to stand on to avoid running someone over. I braked so hard someone ran into the back of me and wrote her car off...braking doesnt get much more extreme than that. Where KFK when you need him??
-
that hurts my head...but a good point none the less who ever mentioned aircon turning off whilst ESp is working...I dont have ESP and I get the cold feeling when cornering. I have noticed it more since this thread started so there is clearly some psycological effects at work too.
-
the only way to appriciate how good the ESP is to be able to turn it all the way off and then weave through some cones at about 40...you will spin out, then do the same again with the ESP on....*disclaimer* dont try that on the public highway, you will be arrested or die. Oh yeah that was mainly aimed at Lee "I learned to drive on Gran Turismo" Marsh and Welsh "my windows are darker than the night sky"Guy *disclaimer ends* ;)
-
I think they wanted £175 for the daimond bright treatment...told them where to stick it. You can see the valeting area from the showroom window at Citroen in Nottingham so I could see that it is just a big spray bottle and they give it a quick go over with that... regular cleaning and good quality wax will give you the same effect...
-
so I have stay clear of the wife then?? thanks for the heads up ;)
-
thanks very much...I did spend more than a few hours doing it ;)
-
mine was a bit grubby when I fetched, its cleaner now then when I picked it up
