family comes first...we all understand... So shall we have a roll call to see who is going and up what roads to see if we can meet somewhere?? Stuey, M1 south from junction 25 then M42...
  2. yeah i had mine out at Bruntingthorpe, it was OK. None VTS models where never designed for that kind of punishment. I was fighting understeer most of the time but when it did find a grippy patch the back wheel was cocked up nicely. It has shortend the life of the brake pads though...they now squeek quite badly and are starting to fade so it is time for a nice shiny new set of EBC greens I think not decided yet. I will drop the photographer at bruntingthorpe an email later and see if he will send me the pic of the car with it back wheel in the air. I did manage to get it to oversteer with a bit of the old scandanavian flick but that was very scary so I wont be trying that again, lift off oversteer is the way to do it the C4...
  3. im not going to be the bloke that tries it out the theory!!

    Load Carrying

I had about 200KG of cement in the back of mine and the suspension was bottoming out all the time. I wouldnt reccomend it...
  7. very helpful.... The vast majority of us are perfectly happy with our cars, there are some issues but they really doesnt deserve the "worst car" title you have given it. The C4 is probably the best in the small family car range. Lets look at the main competition- Ford Focus-Dull, boring to drive... Golf-Dull, boring to drive... both of these cars are more expensive, have shorter service intervals, lower MPG counts... I seem to recall that you are an Alfa fan?? then you have no right to call the C4 anything given Alfa's record...or Italian cars in general
  8. The 30D is about a grand with a lens. I understand that it is being replaced but the rep from Canon hasnt been yet to show me the new stuff. I always found that the Nikon's couldnt capture reds properly and looked a bit weird, for normal use that isnt a problem but when it comes to printing for books, magazines and such that I do Reprographics get narked as they have to compensate for colour balancing...
  9. that looks very good mate, that is one of the hardest shots to get right...to bad it is on the substandard Nikon D80 instead of the Cannon 35D...or as you are clearly a man with plenty of cash and Hassleblad H2...
  10. dont I know it... :)
  11. I think Ham has one on his...I keep meaning to have a look for one...
  12. I saw one for sale for 12K a few weeks ago...I very nearly went to the bank and got a loan and kept it as a track car...
  13. yep always does it...if you drive backwards really fast you go into another dimension
  14. ALWAYS negotiate...I got my spoiler fitted for free and half a tank of petrol and that was on an 11K VTR so if you are going for a 18K VTS you should have more give me that for free power and if you have a couple of dealers near you play them off against each other
  15. or creates a vortex...
  16. its gonna rain here tommorow so I'm not doing mine...I might just do the windscreen as the wipers are just smearing over the filth...
  17. same as me Wozza. I keep meaning to drop mine off at Ham's house, go shopping then come back to a shiny car...
  18. and when did it become a VTS?? Dodgy citroens...leave em alone for 5 mins and they are changing their specs, swapping drivers sides....dancing in the car park....turning themselves around, im sure I didnt reverse into that space outside work this morning :D
  19. your car has never been dirty!! and Mat, that is disgusting!! you have only washed your car 4 times in a year :D This is the longest mine has gone without being washed, I did mine the day before the meet in september, I now own a dull metallic blue car with black wheels...
  20. you will get a lot more looks in the C4 than the Yaris. If it is the same as Yaris over here then it is regarded as a old ladies shopping cart...
  21. I have noticed that the back gets really bad quite quickly. The wheels get filthy days after washing...that bugs me the most...
  22. I have driven both the 1.6 diesel and petrols. Indeed the Diesel has more get up and go and will rocket to the speed limit in any gear. The petrol is quite a bit nippier and the engine loves to rev up to the redline and is pulling all the way to the limit. I prefered the petrol, but obviously the choice is yours. As the engine is 16V and injected you will find it pretty quick and you shouldnt find yourself being left behind with "normal" cars, as for the 6.0 V8's you guys love you may struggle... hope that helps...
  23. he shouldnt have to pay it, the company normally pays it...
  24. like most people have said mate, buy it from Ebay and take it to a bodyshop for spraying and fitting
  25. but yours is a company car so you have had to pay exactly £0
