  1. Remove injector clean the seat fish out the old seal pop new one in with injector tighten it all up plug it in and start it up.
  2. Two sugestions but would expect a noise from both. Outer cv joint dying but would expect a good clonk to go with it. A wishbone ball joint or bush worn could possibly cause the sensation and wouldnt necesarily make a noise but would expect atleast a small knocking sensation. Jack upnthe ofending wheel and give it a good rock back and forth see if you can feel any knocks.
  3. How you getting on with the c5 riceman?
  4. Another thing to check for a leak is the steering rack as it uses the same reservoir as the suspension. If its leaking the 1st you might know of it is that the suspension fault light comes on just to confuse the ***oops*** out of you. :)
  5. A handy little guide that Paul nice one.
  6. The rear hight sensor has a small drop link on it and its comon for these to snap. Its located in the middle of the rear anti roll bar. If this bar has snapped or fallen off the back end will do all sorts of weird things. Its a couple of quid for a new one from citroen. If its in good condition it might need lubricating and exercising. The fluid level when the car is in low should be visible with the cap off. Dont venture under the car without 1st putting axles stands under it as if you knock the sensor and it comes to life it can drop the car ontoits bump stops alarmingly quick.
  7. Start at the connection between door and a pillar clean and inspect the wires door side for damage. Solonoid could be seizing or just plain dead.
  8. Encountered this code before on a c4 was down down to the coil pack in the end. Might be worth giving one a try.
  9. A few generic causes of the symptoms youve got can be over inflated tyres tracking out of alignment/ a worn ball joint or wish bone bush/bearing.
  10. Could just have been some air trapped in the system from the filter change or one of the pipes not quite sealed. Sounds like its sorted its self out now :)
  11. The pipe on my tourer snapped and i have just bodged a section of rubber pipe over it as a temp fix until i get the time to pull the tailgate apart.
  12. Not sure where it is but im sure the c5 has a anti sink valve that is suposed to stop the suspension dropping when parked. If the struts arent leaking id have a hunt for that badboy.
  13. Sounds like it could be as simple as a clogged fuel filter or a air leak i to the fuel line.
  14. Always got on with avon zv5's on other cars. Im on my 2nd set of continental contacts on my mk3 tourer plenty of grip even in the worst of conditions. Changed the fronts after 30k as they were down to 1.8mm and as winters aproaching best to change them.
  15. Im averaging 50 mpg in my 08 mk3 138 tourer and thats over 30k of logging fuel and mileage.
  16. Happy days
  17. It hides behind the rear left wheel arch linner next to the fuel tank. The dash will throw up a low wrarning which has to be reset using lexia and wont just go away of you fill it up.
  18. Looks good if they do away wih the need to reset the tank level everytime iyou top it up.
  19. Double check all the connections are good and that the scotch locks havent had ago at completely cutting the wires. If they are all good id suspect a duff relay giving the bsi a ***oops*** fit. If you can id think about doing soldered joints and insulating them properly instead of scotch locks. As a quick fix they do the job but over time if they get knocked or wet they deteriorate or cut the wires and cause no end of trouble.
  20. How are the tow bar electrics fitted? A straight plug in fit or the old blue scotch locks of awfulness?
  21. My 08 c5 has the aux sockets in the glove box. You have to activate them in the stereo menu then they will be switchable via the source button.
  22. New rack was suitably greased dont worry. Even with the 18 inch wheels on mine and the ride comfort is excelent with the right tyres on. Had bridgestone run flats on when i got it and they were bloody awfull.
  23. I like my mk3 its up at 110k now, only cost outside normal servicing has been a steering rack. And that only set me back £250 doing the work myself.
  24. Takes a good amount of force rocking the wheel top to bottom. Little vid of what your looking for.
  25. Check that lower bearing. Sounds exacly like what mine was doing..
