  1. I use Turtle Wax's Back to Black...good finish if left on to dry and not wiped off...but doesn't last at all!
  2. You would think that the VTS spoiler would come on both the petrol and diesel models, but thats the funny way in which Citroen think! I personally think it should be fitted to all C4 models as standard..really does make the car look a lot meaner. I am currently fitted VTS/VTR parts to my VT, as unfortunately this is my first car and I'm unable to match the amount the insurance companies wanted for a VTR/VTS. The only thing I wont copy across onto my VT is the VTR/VTS badge. Would look nice, but I would get dusted by anything and everything at traffic lights! :P

    New Guy

Hi and Welcome! This is my 1.4 VT Coupe - just looking for Alloys for it at the moment.. Did have 18's but they are now broken (see other threads lol) - now decided on getting the C4 VTS Alloys. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c32/streettech/DSC01320.jpg
  4. @ Stuey Well I was running 18's on my C4 with no power steering problems - You only have to take it to Citroen if you want to! And lets face it...we spend enough time already in Citroen garages...my car has its own reserved space in my local dealership ;)

lol I can't be arsed with the 2 bucket method :D I do everything else properly though, and the wash mitts do help alot! Just to note as well - you will only hide the swirls by using a good wax or glaze or polishing compound. The only way to remove swirls is to buy a machine polisher. The guys on detailing world use them a lot, and recommend you import a specific brand from america. Will hurt your wallet to the tune of £200 though ;)

Well that Black 106 was done by hand, but I do with you about getting better results with a machine polisher. However, good choice of cleaning products can go a long way :D I will probably give mine a once over on the weekend and post some pix if I get a chance ;)
  7. Damn...I knew this one but I've forgotten the answer ! ;)
  8. Hi and Welcome ;) What model of C4 do you have? To answer your question - Do you mean the front or rear windscreen? I have a feeling you are talking about the small rear wiper, which does as you say leave a large area unclean. There is no solution to this because of the letterbox shape of the window - the best thing is do is to keep the window clean and use a good window cleaner polish - this will help rain to run off the window and keep it from getting dirty as often as usual.

Good to know everything is sorted m8. I washed my car on the weekend - here's what I used - unfortunately I didn't take any pix as my batteries in the digicam died :D FRIDAY: Washed with Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo - £4.99 Used an Eurow Wash Mitt - £7.99 Then Clayed the entire car using Meguiars quik clay - £11.99 Applied Poorboy's Natty's Blue Wax (£19.99) using a foam applicator pad (£1.25), then buffed off with a MicroFiber cloth (£3.75). SATURDAY: My Meguiars #7 Show Glaze (£7.99) arrived on Saturday morning so I used another pad to apply it to the the car, then buffed off with the MF - once this was done I applied another coat of Natty's blue to the car, again buffed off with a MF. In total about 7/8 Hours of work and roughly £50 - but the result was stunning.. :) ........and it's rained for the past 2 days ;)
  10. And a second word of warning from me - the single VTS alloys on ebay recently are sold WITHOUT the centre cap. Always worth noting, particularly if yours is damaged/missing etc

    Hi

lol !!!! Atari ST? Old Skool !!!! Well I dont use my A1200 anymore, but I do follow the fortunes of the "new" Amiga - AmigaOS4. It's Amiga, but with modern spec stuff. Check out www.amigaworld.net if your interested :P
  12. You gonna be doing pictures on the day?
  13. Update: Letter Received yesterday. I will try and get Citroen to fit this update in while I'm having all the other required work done on the 15th...

    Hi

Best keep quiet that im an Amiga fan then! B) Seriously... :P
  15. I think 40mm would be fine. The guy with the C4 on the Xsara forums has his C4 lowered 40mm and it looks good. As for handling - it is quite a bumpy ride quality, but the handling is very good - I have one corner I take every day coming home from work and I take it at 45mph easily while everybody else takes it at 25 :o

    Hi

Well if you do go down the in-car PC route make sure you wirte a guide/report and post it here!
  17. http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c32/streettech/DSC01320.jpg Thats with a 30mm drop :o !!! I imagine it would look good with 17's and big tyres, or 18's with big tyres. I did have 18's on the car with 215/35 tyres and there was still LOADS of room in the arches! :o

    Hi

The kit is roughly £100 - not cheap for what it is!!!
  19. Agreed it needs to be lower!!! My C4 is lowered 30mm and that is still not low enough - the arches on the thing are HUGE !!!
  20. I have seen them before...If somebody reminds me later in the week I will dig through my big list of links and find all the bodykits etc that I have come across. As for my opinion...they are ok, but without the added depth of the front and back splitters the sideskirts are gonna look a lil bit funny on their own. I dont like the front and back bumpers either, but at least they match the depth of the added sideskirts.
  21. Mat - thats an interesting point you made about the windscreen...I also had my windscreen replaced by Citroen as a crack was slowly making its way up the screen - I asked what had caused it and they said a stonechip, but I wasn't so sure...looked like a stress fracture to me....and the fact that they didbn't argue about replacing the windscreen (if it was a stonechip) is the giveaway!!
  22. Welshguy

    Hi

lol thats the main catch isn't it - the price of replacements parts if the cutting etc goes wrong! :o
  23. Is there a place where we can stick pix of our cars on this site? I'd like to see other member's car and put names to faces! cheers!
  24. So your happy with the car then? :P
  25. Yeah might go get a quote from a bodyshop...I doubt it would cost more than £100...
