  1. lol I wonder what the profit margins were on the C4's...I dont think Citroen will have made profits out of many C4's by the end of their warrenties! :)
  2. 2.0 HDI engines only ?
  3. Sorry to hear that m8. My brother suffered this once too - the bastards used a piece of wood or something like that to act as a lever to rip the spoiler off his clio while he stayed at his girlfriend's overnight. Personally its not the damage that I'd be most upset over - it would be that some chav that got something for free. :)
  4. Marc - I am currently with Norwich Union, I'm 22 and have 1 yrs NCD so I'm identical to you in circumstances. I am on their Bonus accelerator scheme and its costing me just over £600. The only complaint I would have is that I wasn't really aware I was being sold the bonus scheme when I joined (indian call centre was hard to understand!) and so if I was to leave without a claim would that 9/10 months qualify as a year NCD with another company. I emailed Norwich Union to ask them this and they weren't sure - they issue NCD as a percentage figure, not in Year's. Overall though I'm happy!
  5. Thats correct - the adaptor being sold on ebay will only connect the stereo to the car - it will not allow you to use the steering controls nor will any information appear on the dash panels. Like Wozza said, I would be interested if an adaptor was made available for Alpine Units
  6. The drawbacks of marriage!
  7. So where is the chrome on the Exclusive Lee?
  8. Seems to back up my feeling that is has something to do with the chasis flexing?
  9. Just been surfing a few Citroen reviews on the web, and I came across this sentence regarding the VTS, and what is has that the VT/VTR doesn't : "body colour painted bumpers with chrome" Where's the chrome on the VTS people??
  10. lol you sound like my brother - he's a ICE installer and he loves his nakamichi headunits! He does love quality over volume
  11. hehe unless of course you bought the Ministry of Sound version cos you liked the "different" stereo! lol
  12. Sorry I should have worded that better - they are in development at DBV Audio I might send Michael an email later asking for an update on the development.
  13. You can get the adaptor for Alpine Units - be prepared to pay about £100 though
  14. Had a phone call from Citroen yesterday - the car was ready to pick up a day early! OUt of all the points listed above, they couldn't fix the brakes due to them waiting for Citroen to tell them what parts they need. They also couldn't find the rattle in the passenger door (I only hear it occassionally..just thought I'd try and get Citroen to find it! ). They did however fix all the other problems - the gearbox and engine problems were related to a dodgy engine mount - they fixed it and everything purrs now...no more grating! :)
  15. Hi and weclome! Sorry to hear about the Transit incident! Daz
  16. I had a 4 inch crack, but I differ in the fact that it was at the bottom of the windscreen and I have aCoupe. Citroen replaced the windscreen and then tried to tell me it must have been a stone...but they didn't charge me so they were hiding something. Im thinking the chasis flexed and cracked the glass personally. No problems since though...this was nearly a year ago.
  17. lol NEVER EVER let a dealership clean your clean Stu. They will employ a couple of 15 year olds with Grubby sponges full of grit to scrape across your car using a wash solution of spit and fairy liquid. Not good! < RANT > Speaking of which, I have to take my friend's polisher to the car on the weekend (hopefully) - on Sunday I was parked up outside a kebab shop waiting for the girlfriend to grab some food, and 3 blokes walked past with one deciding to kick my car, along with every other car in the road. I couldn't believe it - I was sitting in the car! ;) Couldn't go mental though...3v1! No dent thankfully but lil stratches....GRRR...CHAV'S! < / RANT >
  18. UPDATE: Handed the C4 over to Citroen with a written list of the car's problems yesterday. They looked through the list, and the only problem that they couldn't fix is the sqeaky brakes - apparently it is they are aware of it as they stated before, but Citroen have not yet told them what parts to order/use. I told them I wanted the gearbox problem investigated and fixed before I have the car back as its driving me mad. Will see what the car is like Thursday! Fair do's I have to be honest Citroen have been as good as gold when it comes to serving/warrenty work. As for the C1...They have given me the 1.4Diesel 'Vibe' - its a funky lil car..very basic though (no rev counter for example!)...quite nippy too...although the body roll going round sharp corners is horrible!
  19. No lines in my VT ?
  20. As I've been saying in different threads, the car is going into Citroen today to get the following looked at: • Driver Airbag Re-call • Squeaky Brakes, particularly when reversing • Grating & Rocking noises in Gearbox when clutch is down and when the accelerator is tapped. • Grating noise from Engine when under acceleration at low speeds • Rattle in Passenger Door I've printed off the above list and I'm going to give it to them - I figure they then have no excuse and can't say I didn't ask them to look at "x" etc. They have planned to have the car for 4 days...so in the mean time I get a C1...will report in this thread later today about my impressions of the C1, and hopefully then in a few days...the standards of Citroen dealership work!

    C4 Mp3

You want to keep everything standard spec then eh? No doubt you probably can get mp3 enabled somehow, but I would go for an after-market CD stereo and changer. With a little searching I'm sure you could find one that would fit in the armrest?
  22. I think the worst one I've seen is the Citroen C4 "Stealth" spoiler. Yuk! Trying to find a picture of it but no luck unfortunately.
  23. Just been on the Care Equipment site and apparently you can get 19's to fit on the C4 without archmods, 225/19 tyres! Worth checking out I think
  24. Good point - although I doubt that's ever been an issue in Cardiff as most stolen cars end up in the parklands and burnt out lol
  25. lol must be something to do with my Cardiff postcode then as I got screwed over on my first year of Insurance. My second year is now dirt cheap but I see no need to sell the VT and get a VTR/VTS...only gonna lose a lot of money on my VT so whats the point? on the flipside..180bhp
