  1. I noticed a thread on the SaxoSportsClub website earlier today about superchipping Citroen C4's, and it got me interested in the idea. I only have the 1.4 Petrol model, but any little boost in power and torque would be a welcome addition. The superchip website says they can chip the 1.4 16v PSA engine which is the one I believe my C4 is equipped with, and the website quotes roughly a 5bhp gain for just under £300. What do you guys think? Worth it or not? Not when you compare it to my brother's REVO upgrade on his Ibiza (50+ extra BHP for £500) then again he does have a 1.8Turbo.
  2. lol I haven't received any letter as of yet (but I haven't been to my parents for a few days so might be there) So I guess I'll have this work undertaken at the same time they are changing my squeeky brakes and investigating my rocking gearbox!!! Guess that's the price you pay when you buy a car designed from scratch. I can't complain though as my local dealership have been as good as gold, and all repairs/updates are free :D
  3. Definately a trip to the dealer! Sounds like a problem with the linkage for steering the Xenon headlamps. I dont have the Xenon's but take a good look at the headlights and see if you can see anything caught internally in them. Might be something simple that your dealer can sorted in an hour or two.
  4. Cheers for the heads up about this - my brakes are starting to squeek, althoughly admittably it isn't that bad. I gave Citroen a ring this morning and have the car booked in, and they are going to take a look at my gearbox too. I have a problem with it - almost everytime (particularly when cold as well) I put the car into netrual or change gear I can hear a noise, like the gearbox is shaking on its mountings or something like that...very disturbing! So hopefully that will be sorted and I get free brakes thrown in  Funnily enough (spooky!) they said there were all out of C2's, and offered me either a C1 or a Berlingo Multispace...the "disabled" car as they described it. I took the C1 :D Now all I have to do is pray its the Turbo model! :D

    Hi

Ahhh now this is where I can help - when I was looking to install my headunit I realised I needed to find an adaptor...after many hours phoning companies I finally came across Michael @ dvbaudio - he agreed to make an adaptor for me - I had it in my hands two weeks later and it has worked a treat. No cutting etc required! It is also an excellent price :D See DVB Audio for contact details. Remember to ask for Michael and say Darren with the Citroen C4 sent you! I have been bugging him about an adaptor for the steering controls as well - this is currently being produced by an associate of his, although it is likely to be pricey (roughly £100).
  6. Got any 19's going spare? Maybe for free? :) If only Citroen made their VTS alloys in 18s or 19s!
  7. They were BOSS XTR alloys which I had bought in mint condition second hand. I think it was a combination of a 30 drop, stiffer ride and 215/35 tyres. I will never get 215/35 tyres again...they are far too a bumpy ride, and the C4 arches can cope with a far bigger tyre, even on 18's. Daz
  8. I remember a few months back there was a mint set of C4 VTS alloys on ebay but I didn't need them at the time due to my alloys were intact! They were priced at only £200, and didn't even sell. But by the time I'd contacted the seller after my alloys were damaged it was too late and they had been sold!
  9. I've seen roughly 3 or 4 crash damaged C4's now on ebay and each one looks like it has been rolled....interesting! :)
  10. I have a VT Coupe and the suspension was a pleasure until I upgrated to Spax with a 30mm drop - now the suspension is extremely hard and very bumpy, although the cornering ability is much improved. I am currently running on standard Citroen steelies...lol you should have felt the ride quality with my 18" on 215/35 tyres...it felt like I was driving on square wheels lol! - One of those alloys actually split due to the pressure they were put under! Daz :)
  11. lol yeah but at the time of purchase the VTS was a LOT more expensive, and with the C4 being my first car, insurance was v.v.expensive! I have the proper VTS spoiler as well..managed to nip in on an empty auction on ebay and got one for £170 - they are £440 from Citroen! Well I will keep looking for the wheels :) Daz
  12. If I may ask how did you fit the stereo? I had a special adaptor made up for mine so I could fit an aftermarket stereo :D I know Jon on the Xsara forums...I love the look of his C4 on a 40mm drop...I'm probably gonna drop mine lower when I get the chance as its just not low enough at the moment! There are a few ok bits and pieces bodykit wise...but you have to look HARD !! I'll try and post some links when I get the chance as I've saved them all as I've browsed the net looking for C4 stuff! Daz
  13. Hey, Cheers for the quick reply. Yeah I'm on ebay daily attempting to find them but no luck so far. The only time I saw them was when my alloys weren't broken! So has anybody modded their C4 yet on here? I'd be interested in hearing about any big or small mods! Darren
  14. Hi there, Just thought I'd ask here if anybody knows anyone with a second hand set of Citroen C4 VTS Alloy for sale. I'm not really willing to fork out for Citroen prices for what are 17".. Decided to go for the VTS rims after I got a 2inch split in my 18"s! Here is a pic of my C4 (now without alloys and with VTS spoiler..) http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c32/streettech/DSC00630.jpg
