Good to have the site up and running again

But it will take a while before it's up to speed. Meanwhile I've got the C5 to get ready for MOT next Monday. So far I've done new discs and pads on the front and today it's off with the bumper to replace the sidelights.

Hmm - since I got the Mk2 (last year) I can see the problem with sidelights. I had one stop working (offside) and got as far as accidentally removing the indicator, cursing and putting it back, then just getting my fingers on the sidelight wiring, whereupon it started working again. Haven't had to face the problem since.

Like yours, my car is an Exclusive, and I don't fancy disconnecting the 4 parking sensors, 2 foglights, 2headlamp washers and the partridge in a pear tree! How do you do all that, and get them put back correctly?

That's the easy part. They are all grouped together in one connector which pulls apart before finally putting the bumper to one side. But remove the washer covers first of all, otherwise they'll break if you do the bumper first.

I put a post on the Picasso site asking if anyone knew why this one was not working and Joe Blunt asked Glen to have a look at it - so maybe they are the ones who have sorted the problems. I have put a thankyou note on there for them.

I guess it will take some time before everyone gets back to using this site again.

Too right! I was nearly about to sell the car because of it disappearing. I feel I have a lifeline again to help me keep on top of all the little niggles that need to be fixed.

Don't take the bumper right off -just undo the fittings one side and pull that end forward
