  1. http://www.citroencarpanels.com/parts/citroen/?category=511 youl get a sill from these people and youl be happy with the price
  2. sounds to me like the fault is the drivers right foot. red lining any engine isnt good for it. you need to go into live data and see what the engine is doing when your trying to start it
  3. the esp cant control the torque on your engine as your in limp mode so forget about it as it will disapear when you sort the fault out. the cruse control wont work because the esp wont let it because again it cant control the torque. Sounds to me like you need the fap side of your car sorting either dpf cleaned or changed as after a drive the depollution fault goes of as its started regenerating.but cant complete the cycle. using a diagnostic go to particle filter > data > then check the soot loading and last regeneration
  4. hello and welcome
  5. did you code the pump in and reset the counter
  6. yes had a few 1.6 that wont start due to lack of compression and belive it or not everytime it was down to the egr valve. if the valve goes theres no compression. hard to belive but true
  7. Its a fairly straight forward diy job that most can do only 4 bolts 2 pipes and a multiplug. but you will need to get it regassed. if you look at your compressor and tell me what colour the multiplug is either green or yellow. weve got a few lying around and will do you a good deal on it
  8. the outside temp sensor is fitted and only fitted to the pass mirror and there is no wire on the driers side to connect a sensor to sorry
  9. most auto electric shops should be able to test it for you
  10. vehicle traction rapide or thereabouts
  11. whoever told you that is a bit confused and probaly thinking of the old stop solinoids on non hdi diesels . to test the pressure regulator conect a ohm meter to the 2 pins on the regulator and you want 2 to 3 ohms otherwise its knackered. also check for any bits of fillings on the regulator. What symptoms/faults are you having
  12. pull the stereo out itself and were the multi plug goes in there should be a fuse there. if all fuses ok then get stereo checked while youve got it out
  13. go to the technical section in the c5 forum. top of the page says pinned topics ( in green). you want the 6th one down bsi reset. there is a proper procedure for replacing the battery
  14. do a bsi reset. its in the pinned topics, re the stereo if its a after market one you may need a code
  15. try a bit toothpaste, colgate whitening is good. also works a treat on plastic headlights that go yellow
  16. 1st check the tensioner as they dont always come with the peg in the right hole. also there are 2 belts for the c5 with 20mm diference between them
  17. yes give the dealers your reg and proof of id and they get you a key to open the door.
  18. get a sniffer test done to see if the head gasket has gone b4 you spend anymore money
  19. its the syncros thats gone. were the gear selector goes into the box water gets in and kills the oil. its box out im afraid but there not to bad to do
  20. prise the back of the winow switch up and slide it out. never the front as it has a lip on it that will snap. the rings that hold the door on are a bit of a pig to get of without the right tool but just start at the bottom and pull. be prepaired for some to break though
  21. very nice. anychance of some interior and engine picks. has it still got the original tape deck in or not
  22. try slowing down a bit ha ha ha. Anyway its your caliper or h/brake cable siezed thats at fault youl need to change one of them with a new one or free it of. get some one to work the handbrake and look at the back of the caliper and you should see the handbrake lever moving back and forth. you should see the lever move if it dosnt then lift the hanbrake cable of the lever and see if the cable is retracting into the outer casing
  23. glad you got sorted one way or the other
  24. As you look at the engine left hand side just under the windscreen like you say. just be careful for dead wasps as they still sting
  25. they can go at anytime and don't give any warning signs. you could try bsi resets and check/spray all connections but your only real way forward is a diagnostic
