you cant muck about with the oil and servicing on the 1.6 as theyl eat the turbo,s. for the price and the peace of mind factor take pauls advice and put it into the dealers. if your in the tyne and wear area go to town center citroen and theyl see you ok
-
u cant just download the software. As paul has asked what caused the problem in the 1st place. Also are you saying you have 5 keys for the car. i think people might be having a bit trouble making sense of your posting so why not start again and include the following have u owned the car long/ or just bought it. was it previosly running what year is it. are other systems working ok. what warning lights are you getting. does your key fob remotely lock/unlock the car Any other info relating to the car

New C5 Owner - Driving And Ride Characteristics And Switches
coastline taxis replied to lrochfort's topic in C5 - Technical
look at ur display and either version should be altered as u push the stalk in. the basic one should switch between radio station and time/date. if nothing changes the prisr the the button of the end of the stalk and youl see a thin brass ring. soilder it where its broke trying to keep it as smoth as you can then reasemble it and the jobs done. are you anywhere near tyne and wear as ive got a few nulti displays and your more than welcome to one -
Solid Flywheel Conversion For 2008 C5 Tourer?
coastline taxis replied to Tucker9037's topic in C5 - Technical
1.6 well that changed everything. just change the clutch plate and keep the rest of your money for a turbo -
it is sort of plug n play. better described as a plug n lexia session, It will need to be vin coded into your car as paul said. but as yours has the can bus system it will need boxes ticking in the ecu. the steering wheel controls can be used if you get some crossover leads ( if there needed but i doubt it) from most auto electrics or the dealer. But as paul and porsche have said a tom tom is a much cheaper and better option

look at ur display above the stereo is it sort of a thin oblong display or more of a square if its the 1st then u need to chage it in order to make sense of the button on the end of the stalk. remove your whole air filter then look under the big black box on the right and youl see the throttle pot, youle see the accelerator cable going into it. check for anything fouling this if nothing is then pull the clip on the cable and either push the black plastic part of the cable in or out to adjust the pedal to ur requirement. replace the clip then cover the lot in wd40. And just a daft one you have got the car set to the right ride height. depending on spec lvl it will either be displayed to the right of the speed or on the display above the stereo -
Solid Flywheel Conversion For 2008 C5 Tourer?
coastline taxis replied to Tucker9037's topic in C5 - Technical
weve done a few of these conversion and to be honest weve had no real problems. but remember 90% of our work is very high milage cars and a extra knock or judder just wouldnt be noticed, what we have noticed though is that lets say u put a valeo 4 in 1 kit in then from now on u can only put valeo clutches in. Its the same with luk and all others. so unless you get a solid from the dealers ur stuck with limited choice for the future -

Block Connector In Engine Bay - C2 1.4

personely i would just take the car to the nearest dealers and buy a replacement part. sounds like a temp sensor and if your willing to try soldering it then changing it wont be a problem for you -

Hpi Petrol Engine Not Starting
coastline taxis replied to punkieys17's topic in Problems and Fixes - C5
start by cleaning the throttle body out and see if it starts. how much fuel is in the tank if its only a little bit it might of went off as it dosnt last long now.and need draining can u hear a buzzing from under the back seat when u put the ignition on (low pressure pump). what scanner are you using as a lot of them arnt compatable with c5,s and could be giving u the wrong codes. And finally the petrol models are well known for the high pressure pumps packing up. -
what colour is the smoke
-
well u seem to have it all in hand now so il leave u to get on with it
-
ooo i bet that engine sounds lovley when you rev it up always loved the sound of the v engines they just roar. anyway take porsche,s advice about the air leaks if your having a hard time finding it then most garages should be able to do a smoke test to see if theres a leak and its shouldnt be that expensive
-
u need to check that the wires from the ecu to the sensors that the engine needs to start have been joined the right way. a lot of people go by the colour of the wire but that is not the case u must go by the number printed on the wire as one wire can change colour from were it starts to were it finishes. on ur original post you say there is no fault code so im assuming you have diagnostic tools. codes wont help you with a non starter you need to go into live data and see what the engine is doing when its trying to start
-
cant remember if the c4 has them but check all the fuse boxes for a fuse marked SH. Its a shunt fuse this pull it out and this will reset the ecu for you. but b4 you do it might be worthwhile spending a hour or two with a multimeter making sure you have power to the likes of the crank/cam/coilpack (settings/readings on youtube/google) also check the wiring repair also is the alarm/imobilizer working. check for power going into the alternator as this is a big clue that systems arnt getting charged up prior to starting Abs ecu shouldnt stop the car from starting. so your way foward with this is to download pin data for a c4 then sit with a multimeter and a few cups of tea. the pin data will tell you lets say the camshaft sensor wires what pin number in the ecu multiplug goes to that sensor then put one end of the multimeter on that pin in the ecu block and the other on the pin in the camshaft sensor multiplug and check for continuity and i think youl find a few wires not correctly repaired

get a sniffer test done on the expansion tank to rule the head gasket out or blown. weve had 3 in last year were the conrod has come thru the side of the block so ignore the oil indicator and only take the dipstick reading as correct

what part of the car was damaged by the crash
-
was it definatly gear related. what im getting at is what speed were you doin on both occasions was it the same speed when u were trying to get the gears. also have you had anty trouble with the speedo. im thinking along the same lines as porsche and the gearbox/diff. but at such a early stage id be checking the abs sensors/system as ive seen them do funny things in the past Was the braking from all 4 wheels. j once had something similar on a mk1 c5 and basicly the clutch and the brakes share the same resivoir and the clutch master cylinder went daft and every time u pressed the clutch it forced fluid back into brake resivoir which inturn applied the brakes. that was a constant fault and not intermitant like yours so maybe signs of a clutch master cylinder fault Maybe a wait and see what happens problem as its going to be really hard to find this fault when the cars not doing it
