  1. all models are the same (just different spec levels) so the roof rack will fit. As for upgrades I think you'll get a surprise at what you get even on the lx level. what year is the c8
  2. most Citroen mileage is stored in the ecu. your model is the canbus diagnostic and you just cant go adding aftermarket equipment with telling the ecu. my advice would be to wait and see what the diagnostic says. if all comes back ok then its down to Halfords to sort it out. Any mileage correction firm should be able to sort it out at Halfords cost
  3. hello and welcome. anything you need just ask
  4. Change your fuel filter housing both top and bottom sections and put a new fuel filter in aswell
  5. Being stuck in the middle of nowhere like what you are you have only one option. buy a lexia of ebay as that is your only way forward. Everything else will be a guess and cost you a fortune. Sorry for being negative but it is what it is

  7. hi goose the anti pollution fault on the display flags up when any one of 5 systems get a fault so i really dont think its anything to do with the dpf side of things as i know which way you removed it. unfortunatly ul be like a dog chasing its tail without diagnostic help. check the list on the forum to see if theres anybody near you with diagnostic tools or get one of ebay as there quite cheap at the min and you can always sell it on when youve done with it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PP2000-Lexia-3-Diagnostic-Interface-Scaner-Tool-Diagbox-For-Peugeot-Citroen-/331488059447?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4d2e3a6037

  9. your wasting your money changing the oil pump as once they start to play up just get rid of them or itl be one thing after another. theres pages and pages on google about the correct oil and service intervals to change the pump correctly youl need new sump (as they distort when removed) pump pick up timing belt guides and tensioner water pump oil pump youl also need to check a host of other things aswell. Heres a link to another page to what you basicly need to do http://www.berlingoforum.co.uk/thread-1149.html
  10. its a common fault on c5,s for the stepper motors that control the heater flaps to break. keep aircon switched off and see if when you turn both temperature controls that the heating goes from hot to cold. if it does then its your aaircon if it dosnt then start checking the heater motors
  11. check your fuses as the com port is fused. most cases we have are a blown fuse. put car the car in 4th gear with the key out and handbrake off and rock the car back and forth while looking at the fan belt. if it moves then the engines not seized. sounds like a simple earth problem
  12. check your earth leads from the battery to the engine and bodywork Have you had any issues with the battery going flat
  13. Its a rather complex job to do and requires diagnostic equipment so unless your 100 per cent then id suggest you put it into a garage
  14. take that advice seriously
  15. Sounds like its the particle/dpf filter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DIESEL-PARTICULATE-FILTER-DPF-CITROEN-C5-DC-2-2-03-2001-08-2004-11-/140862248093?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20cc0b549d plus a eloys oil refil unless already done. Get a diagnostic done to confirm this. theres a list on the site of members with diagnostic euipment that will help you check it out and see if a member is near you
  16. Hello and welcome. joining the 50 + club myself this year and yes the cracking joints are getting louder. Your in the right place to get help and give help
  17. There a complete pig to do and hieght is your only friend. 1st though get some axle stands under it NOW because your working next to the front ride hieght adjuster and if you catch it the car will come down on you faster than you can move ( and thatis speaking from exprience) to remove the tubes just cut them up into a couple of pieces and remove them. the tubes are sided and basicly both go in the same way thru the front wheel arch at a 45 degree angle downwards then turn the tube and they go into place with a bit of swearing. The pass side tube needs a extra part removed to get it in. on the rear of the front wishbone ( pass/side ) theres a 10mm bolt that holds the shroud onto the steering rack remove that and the shroud then put tube in. Make sure you pack the tubes with as much grease as you can get into it b4 puting the cable in the tube or youle be putting another set in within a year
  18. with the engine running go to the front of the car and push down then go to the back of the car and push down. the car should go down then you should hear the pump kick in and lift the car back up. if when you push down it just wont move then youle no if its front or rear sphere,s. next do side to side and if one side wont go down then thats the side thats gone. if both sides wont go down then it will be the stiffness sphere
  19. have you got anykind of warranty with the car
