  1. Check the wiring as yes youve got voltage going into the sensor and coming out of the sensor. Bur without checking the return wire to the ecu you have no way of knowing if the signal is getting to the ecu
  2. hello and welcome
  3. Just a little follow up that the brake fluid on any car with brakeforce distribution should be replaced every 2 years regardless so check your service records
  4. \whats happening here is your listening to too many people. the camshaft sensor should of been checked with a multimeter to see if it was working b4 replacing it most people with a scanner automaticly replace a sensor when they throw a fault up when in fact they are working well and reporting the fault to you. your symptoms definatley point toward the cam sensor. your next step is to check the wiring that feeds the cam sensor and i dont mean a look at the bits you can see. unless you can find pin data for your car youl have to do it the hard way. each wire going into the cam sensor has a number printed on it. now go to the multiplugs that go into the ecu and one of them wires will have the same number on it. get a multimeter and set it for continuity and put one end in the ecu multiplug and the other at the cam sensor end and check the results. other areas to have a quick check are the inlet manifold for leaks ( try tightening the bolts) also the exhaust for holes i doubt its any of thees 2 but it just rules them out. if the wires turn out ok then remove the timming cover and check the camshaft sprocket for any damage and get back to us
  5. hello and welcome to the forums. this is problem weve come across twice this year you will have no warning lights on the dash and you will have electronic brakeforce distribution. And youl also have a knackered brake pedal switch. Its a dual purpose switch that operatesboth the rear brake lights and the ebd. the lights still work so people asume the switch is fine when its not
  6. Thank you thats much better. yours has electric power steering is your speedo working also the abs working. could be a voltage problem so get the alternator/battery checked. most of this could be confirmed by geting a diagnostic check with lexia
  7. its the resistor pack on the side of the heater. Eventually it will only work on 4. 10 min job to fix but dealer part
  8. Ok. check the flexi pipes as sometimes when they go they can turn into a sort of one way valve. get someone to press pedal and check for signs of bulging outward also try clamping them of at the very top were they met the metal brake pipe
  9. you need to put a lot more info in as we are running short on crystal balls. Make/model/engine/mileage and as much info as you can on the fault
  10. when you get in the car to start it switch ignition on and listen for a gurgling sound do this a few times until the gurgling stop then see if car fires up and runs ok. If it does then this confirms your leak theory as youve just primed the fuel system. Youl now have to start and look for a leak and the most common one is on the pipe that goes into the back of the fuel filter
  11. have you checked the slide mounts on the front calipers to see if there free. its the bit were the 2 caliper retaining bolts go into and has a rubber bellow on each one. you should be able to slide them in and out very easily whith the caliper removed
  12. little bit more info needed. Is the blower/fan working and no hot air. is the engine temperature getting up to normal. please give as much detail as possible

  16. This is what i think has happend Your driving along and service and dpf lights come on = car has entered regeneration mode dpf temprature goes up to 1000 degrees celsius and the ecu then pumps eloys oil in to burn soot off. either a damaged or faulty repair/inspection has resulted in eloys being sprayed onto hot exhaust and igniting. Why didnt they tell you the dpf was half blocked when you went to pick the car up (50% is nothing ) and more to the point ( Depending on mileage ) what were they doing in the dpf side of things when the car was only in for a service. Also would be asking for more info on the friendly fuel treatment and what part was holding things up. Sound like someone has mucked up when itsbeen in garage
