  1. turbo boost solonoid. as u look at the engine right hand side next to scuttle panel. black plastic cover held on with 2 clips. lift it up and youl see the solinoid. remove it and shake it if you hear a rattle its working and if theres no rattle its broke. check the rubber pipes going to it and the turbo
  2. have you tried taking a live feed straight to the starter motor and see what happens
  3. sounds like the stepper motors on the heaters could be on there way out. quick google will give you all the info you need
  4. Im not totally clued up on this kind of thing so this is only a guess as someone was telling me something similar and to be honest i didnt pay much attention to it as its not really my cup of tea. you have to go into both your car and phone and tell them not to pause when another program is trying to open. when you change to another album the car thinks its a phone call and pauses the music so the call can come thru. Sorry but thats the best answer ive got
  5. maybe it has been overfilled. any reservoir must have a air space.
  6. Nope there hydraulic rams you have fitted to them. you wont find your knocking till you remove the rear trailing arm. then take the bearings out and theyl either be disintegrated or dryed out. unless its a mk3 c5 but your posting does say mk2 and the fact you have sphere,s fitted rules out shockers, spring and drop links on the rear
  7. Think your best place would be a local auto electrician near you. Your posting is a topic that is rarley asked on this site. sorry for not being able to help you
  8. Can u give a bit more info like does it get louder when revs increase. does in increase/decrease when u press the clutch also any lights on the dashboard
  9. in the engine bay lift of the engine top cover and at the front in the middle youl see a round black cylinder with 3 fuel lines going into it. thats your fuel filter. theres really no need to drain them as they just dont get water in them anymore
  10. sound advice from mflynn. Have u checked all pipes for security/leaks//splits
  11. You got the car for the softer ride. then id stick to dealer parts only as there is a difference in quality
  12. Hello and welcome to the forum. if you get a answer to a problem can you please come back and tell us
  13. Is the transponder ring ok. your doing it the correct way
  14. youve definatly got everyones attention. So please keep us informed
  15. does the eml light come on at all. have you checked the plastic clip on the swirl pot as that will slow u down
  16. ok i know you said the starter was new but your going to have to test it. put a multimeter on the solinoid wire on the starter (normally got a 8mm nut on it) and get someone to turn the key and see if you get power. just a daft one have you tried bump/tow starting the car
  17. think youve answered your own question.
  18. Take a single jump lead from the negative side of the battery directly to the engine making sure it gets a good connection and try starting it then get back to us
  19. Sounds like your uncle is right. As regards the 3rd party parts yes there right because if they were made to the exact spec of citroen parts then it would be copyright/pattent theft so they have to have differences. some work for a while some dont and when it comes to the electrics the smallest difference will make the biggest difference to the car and its performance
  20. if you have any doubts whatsoever about the crankshaft pully then change it because if it fails it will take the fan belt and possibly the timming belt with it. Id be changing the pully
  21. We had our last auto fluid chang at town center citroen about a year ago £90 it cost you more to buy the fluid so its a no brainer. that box done 300k before we took it off the road. It had the auto fluid changed every 80k. Dont be tempted to do it yourself as its not straight forward and requires diagnostic equipment to get the oil to the right temperature
  22. Theres just to many thing it could be so having a guess is impossible. its got to be plugged in to see what fault codes are there. Come back with the codes and we try our best
  23. you can hear it pulsing so it does point towards the injectors. Washing up liquid and water and squirt it round the bottom of the injectors and the common rail where the feed pipes attach and see if you get any bubble. If nothing then you could be looking at a faulty injector
  24. yep thats your answer
  25. There isnt any droplinks on the rear of a c5 or springs or shockers. If its not a lose brake pads the its probally your rear trailing arm bearing.
