£325 for me at confused
-
He did say that I could make him an offer. Obviously I don't want to buy the car as I have a VTS  It looks lower on the springs than my HDi version so wonder if it has been lowered?
-
No problems here with my clutch,. but I did ask a Citroen technician on saturday if it could be adjusted in any way to make it lower and he said there is no adjustment possible on the clutch at all. My original reason for the Citroen visit was to find cause of a rattle in my car, so went for a test drive, and of course the car never rattled ! He also mentioned that there is no longer any need to change the heater box if you have the hot air only problem, as they can now order just the plastic cog that was causing that problem.

Cottage cheese sandwiches

I sent question to seller on the VTS how much he/she wanted for it. Got a reply today saying about £10K. So probably is a genuine sale

The interior of that M3 is an Audi TT  Well spotted :o The Mini is the same person with a different yahoo email. and it must be a new model "2006 MINI COOPER! Motorola V3!" So I presume he also has an auction for a V3 phone somewhere ? Found another two ! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2005-MERCEDES-CLS-50...1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2004-Mercedes-Benz-E...1QQcmdZViewItem

There has been a lot of fraudulent sellers on eBay this weekend as well!! Someone has hijacked lots of eBay accounts and having 1-day auctions selling cars that are too cheap to be true, so be very careful ! My sister was looking at a Triumph TR4 that was a very good price, but luckily she asked for my advice after she had been emailing the seller. After doing some Google searches, I found out that fraud was rife on eBay !!!! Told her to forget about the car, and an hour later the auction was removed !! Auctions with phone numbers or email adresses in the advert are very likely to be fraudsters. Alarm bells should start ringing when they mention square deal. Check this site for what to look for http://www.carbuyingtips.com/fraud.htm Check this out too :- http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?thr...d=1158774757328 That yellow C4 looks like a SCAM for at least one of the reasons I mentioned above. The phone number in the advert and a very short auction!! Also it says post to Worldwide ! All the SCAMS have offered free overseas delivery!!

Do they have a greasy C4 clutch pedal on there tonight ? :P

I fitted Eibach springs all round on my old Audi A4. High speed cornering was much improved, and in normal driving you would not really know the difference apart from that the car was lower than standard. I only replaced the originals as I had a couple of broken springs, and car would have failed MOT.

Hi Grecian VTR, and.... nice car by the way from your pic. I think the gearing in the C4 is much higher than some other cars, which may explain why engine braking is less efficient. Also I am led to believe that the current driving test encourages use of the brakes rather than changing down as we used to do back in the 70's. It may also be something to do with the PSI engines, to make them more efficient?

This nanny state we live in seem to think that reducing speed limits makes the roads safer, but they are so wrong !! People get frustrated by the ever decreasing speed limits and just end up flooring it because they eventually get so pissed off with having to go so slow to avoid a £60 and 3 points fine, just in case there is a camera hidden behind a tree!

Why did the silly old git look under his bonnet ? Just drove into a moving train, so I better check my oil

Rover collapse cost taxpayer £231m THE collapse of the Rover car company in Birmingham is estimated to have cost the taxpayer more than £231 million so far, the government has admitted. About £50m has been made available to retrain workers, and £6.5m was spent on keeping the company going for a week in April while a buyer was sought. Oh, and we are going have to pay for their £600m pension deficit as well !! Enough said.

The aerial strips on the window are for a dual tuner radio, but i don't think it's used in the UK ? I have a rattle coming from n/s front but that's about it, and am going to get it checked at the dealer on saturday to see where it's coming from. The rest of things mentioned by the OP are just minor niggles, and should have been fixed at first visit to the dealer.

I hate Rovers  A massive drain on the taxpayer, and rubbish cars. Enough said <_<

BMW's, VW Passats, and Nissan Micras :D

The HDi 110BHP VTR+ does not seem to be available in coupé or Hatch ?

Why do the wipers work different to production model ?

I have 3 points for 95 on a dual carriageway. (from my Audi A4) I saw the orange van on a bridge but just thought it was RAC or some builder, then when I got closer i could read that it was a so called safety camera van  Got the letter in the post that said i could just take the 3 points and £60 and walk away so accepted, as I knew that I had been going a little faster than that! It's just a tax on the motorist, and nothing to do with safety. <_<
-
One reason I went for the C4 was because of the speed limiter and cruise control. Where I know there are cameras, then I use these devices. It's normally safe to go 10% over the limit without risking a fine/points.
-
I heard a rumour that the requirement for the police to get the NIP to you within 14 days has been dropped. Not sure if its actually the case. If it is, the police can send you a speeding ticket months or even years after you sped. 14 days if you are the registered keeper. Otherwise there is no time limit.
-
Don't new drivers have to retake the test if they get 6 points ? I think that is correct. Let's hope they offer you a 3 point £60 Conditional offer. Wait 14 days to get nasty letter in the post. The C4 is very easy to drive fast without any sense of speed, as it handles well and is very quiet.
