  1. Is it stuck on your rear bumper then ? :P
  2. Is your audible reverse warning still working ? Most of us that tried another stereo lost the warning sound in the speakers.
  3. wozza.... How did you fit that house in your car? :P B)
  4. Old Dears??? http://aycu05.webshots.com/image/5044/2001475373567514277_rs.jpg
  5. Well done. :) You will be able to sort out the rear parking sensor on your non standard stereo now. ;) :(
  6. I think the C4 feels more secure in cornering than the new Focus, but I don't really know which actually holds the road better. Driving on the absolute limit of any car is best left for a track day, rather than chancing your luck on a poorly surfaced, potholed public road
  7. It was mentioned within the last week, how to disable the belt warning. It's nothing as technical as messing with the computer :( Use the search function and ye will find :)
  8. Interesting :( Thanks kfk
  9. Thanks d&t. At least I know it can be fixed. :(
  10. When I test drove a VTR HDi, it definitely soaked up the bumps better than my VTS, and I was very impressed with the ride quality. My VTS does seem to crash over the potholes sometimes, and generally seems firmer. I thought I read somewhere that all C4 models have the same suspension. Is that really true?
  11. I have never heard the seatbelt warning beep! Oh :P That must be because I always wear it :P Apparantly it is the law :( have you tried wearing the seatbelt? :P :) That should fix it. B) Other than that...You may have a genuine fault. :)

    20k Service

If it's anything like when I had a company car, he probably never sees the invoice . £235 sounds a bit steep ! :( £180 - 190 sounds about right from what I read elsewhere. Mine is only on 13,900 miles, so a few months to go yet. :)
  13. Can't the seat be replaced by Citroen under warranty? My seat squeaks, but have not looked at it yet.
  14. Talking about windows..... If I try to shut the drivers window on a motorway it won't shut properly, and just winds down again due to the wind resistance unless I slow down to about 60mph! I presume the anti-pinch feature is a bit over sensitive. Can this be fixed by Citroen?
  15. Who was she ? :o :P
  16. I think this is more than a minor dent, as that website does say minor dents. No harm in asking though. I found another of these dent repair franchise companies... "Perfect for golf ball accidents, storm damage, hail stone dents and dings in the supermarket car park. Many dents can be removed completely, while with some dents it is possible to improve them to the point where they are far less noticeable meaning you can avoid the cost of repainting the panel."
  17. That is really appalling!! I can't believe someone could cause all that damage just by kicking. It looks really bad, and feel really sorry for you mate. I always think about where I park my car now after having just a very tiny dent and scratch on drivers door that looks deliberate. Did you call the police? There may be something on CCTV if it was installed in the area, like on a shop.
  18. The question is whether the output from the parking sensor ECU is digital or analogue. If the output is digital, that would mean the reverse warning beeps are converted inside the Citroen radio, in which case there is not a lot you can do to replicate the warning sound in an aftermarket stereo.
  19. I would say that Z3M Roadster seems to have encountered every fault on this planet, and is not the C4 experience of other members on here. :P These are all just niggles, and are not stopping you from driving the C4  Never seen a C4 broken down on motorway, but have seen plenty of Audi, BMW and Mercs on the hard shoulder, which is why I was glad to get rid of my Audi A4
  20. On the VTS there are about 3 different modes of what you want on the display, as well as the 3 different trip computer displays. I can just have date, time, etc if i wish. I just wanted to show the Input 1 thing really, so you know that it is enabled. :P
  21. You really need an oscilloscope to check for the reversing audio beeps, by obstructing the rear sensors. The scope would display the reverse audio pulses. One of those portable oscilloscopes would do the job for about £80. If you are using a multimeter, you would need to select the AC voltage range, and look for a fluctuating voltage when in reverse, and no voltage with no audio present. I have not done any of this myself yet.

    Oil

It can be any oil that has the same 'specifications' as the Total oils for your car. Some examples below:- The oil you buy will either have the API, or the ACEA, spec printed on the label. As long as it has one or the other it will be fine. Check your service book for the correct oil spec for your car. QUARTZ 7000 Viscosity SAE 10W-40 Specifications API SJ/CF. ACEA A3/B3 QUARTZ 9000 Viscosity SAE 5W-40 Specifications API SL/CF. ACEA A3/B3/B4.
  23. Yes. They may charge about £35 to enable the Aux port. Citroen dealer can do this, but some think it cannot be done and have never heard of this Aux cable. http://aycu32.webshots.com/image/391/2002879991762862552_rs.jpg http://aycu40.webshots.com/image/1799/2002874504902553235_rs.jpg
  24. The Driver :P Some early cars had problems with door handles sticking. WD40 fixes that! Heater box issue causes aircon to blow hot air on drivers side. Replacement fixes. Vibration in the steering. Possible wheel balancing issue? Apart from that, nothing major, and it's very unlikely you will get all these problems.
  25. Hi terrwilk, Welcome, I believe I first saw your car on that well known auction site ? ! B) I think you probably got a good deal. Does your aircon blow hot air on one side? If it does, then you have a known problem. Nothing wrong with my glovebox, but it's good enough to hold gloves rather than the crown jewels   49MPG is very good, as I average 44MPG per full tank, with mainly motorway driving, sometimes spirited :) I have a couple of squeaks/rattles that can wait until the 20,000 mile service, as it does not seriously affect my enjoyment of my car. :P
