you have to get in from the back. it a little bit naughty. if you want to remove the unit you have to remove the bumber to get at the bottom bolts.
-
belt that is not bely lol
-
the only way a bely will make a noise is if its to tight. does it have a spring loaded tensioner or a manual one.
-
dont think they will fit. maybe peugeot 205 gti ecu.
-
could be alternator. place the blade of a long screwdriver on the alternator housing and put your ear against the other end and get some one to rev the car. you will know straight away if its the alternator.
-
the lip on the front discs will cause a squeal. can you not just remove it like you did on the rear. most dealers do a free brake check but thats just generate work and will tell you it needs disks and pads anyway.

got the tools and know what i'mm doing but still would not take on a job like that. 4wd, prop shaft, harness change, space for transfer box, moding subframe and gear links. weilding in all those plates to stop body twisting, altering hubs to take pulsar driveshafts and then you have a very small hole to fit a very large engine, intercooler and bigger radiator. then on top of all that you have to do things to make it stop and corner. far from easy if you ask me.
-
just ask them to fit new injector. its the one nearest the timing belt. that should sort it.
-
oh and dont by so called chips of ebay. all they do is confuse the ecu into thinking the engine is pulling in cold dense air or just up the boost without altering anything else.
-
my advice would be to go for a remap over a chip. a remap can be done through the diagnostic socket and does not require the ecu to be opend making it virtualy impossible to detect by a main dealer. (it changes 1 number in the software version code). citroens hdi's can gain around 40% more bhp with a remap. dont think citroen would ever honour there warrenty with a modified ecu. they invest millions in research so if they were confident there components could handle the extra power there cars would have it. if you want it doing i would go to an authorised remap dealer as you will get a guarantee and they also keep your old ecu config so it can be replaced if needed. another thing to watch for is if your car is in for service etc they carry out recalls, updates with out you knowing. we had a c5 2.2hdi in for service last year and there was a software update available so we carried out the download and the service. the owner was back 5 mins after picking the car up saying there was a loss in power. we later found out we had removed hi £400 175bhp remap. a c4 2.0hdi will map to around 180bhp with a massive torque gains and is possible to get them up to 200bhp with a few mods. my mate has a 150bhp seat leon fr tdi running at 220bhp. also cant understand anyone telling insurance companys of remaps when they have no way of checking software config.

if your getting it re-gassed ask them to add dye so if it is leaking it can be easily found. i have found sometimes when you carry out a leak test with a ac machine it passes but still leaks after it is gassed up. the reason for this is the leak check is done under vacum and this can pull seals tight into there seats and no leak will be present then when you add pressure to the system it pushes the seals away from there seats causing it to leak again so dye is the sure fire way of getting to the bottom of a leak if thats what it is.

think you have to have ignition on first click then do as kfk said

Central Rear Seatbelt (and Other Niggles)
iannez replied to terryhfs's topic in Berlingo - Technical
the seat belt wont release if the seat is not upright. the strap has a plastic pip to stop it reeling in to far and what is happening is the trim on the top of the seat that stops the pip going through is opening allowing the pip to pass causing the seat belt to jam. you dont have to get to the mech. if you have the seat down get in the boot and you will see the belt fixing on the bottom of the seat back. it is a pin with a clip. remove the clip and draw the pin noting how the spring is located. then you can lift the seat back up and the belt will draw out. citroen have a modified trim for the top of the seat where the torx screws go through both front and back parts of trim instead of just the bac stopping it from opening. -
yes you can turn it off and on when you want check for over speed warning in your hand book.
-
every one i've done with a speed ctrl fault it has always been the roller switch. if you roll it to cruise ctrl and then try to roll it a little bit further it should put the fault on.
-
had to change a few throttle bodies on 1.4s for the same fault but these are electronic. 1.1s are cable but could still be the problem.

you have to do it through the radio.
-
did one 2 weeks ago that did this and the extra tension it puy on belt snapped the cam in 3 places.
-
how can someone check the internals of a gearbox and tell how its been driven. on a berlingo you get 3yr or 100,000 mile warrenty. contact citroen uk and explain to them whats going on. you buy a van with warrenty for peice of mind. if they dont have a courtesy van for you to use they should hire you one.

checked today and no mute shown on diagram. fit one this morning parrot model. could be a way of doing it because as you said yours shows silence when the phone is in use. the parrot one didnt. you have the same kit as what i have in my picasso and i have to turn off the radio.
