if its only 3 months old it will be full can. is it not changed with radio like c4.

and also if your worried about being robbed ask the dealer to hold any old parts they have changed so you can inspect them your self. go to a back street garage to save money. go to a main dealer to get the job done properly.

what a load of rubbish. we have 2 apprentices in our garage and they always work along side someone who is fully trained. go to a back street garage and get your oil and filter changed if you want but there is alot more goes into a main dealer service than that. the trouble is most ppl go to a main dealer and think they are robbed blind because of the extra parts on top of the service. the reason for this is the dealer carrys out a much more indepth check (ask for the check list) and the independent doesnt. ask a independant what multi-plexing is or if he can tell you which speed sensor is putting your abs light on and they will look at you as if your stupid. people who work on citroens day in and day out know the product much better and know what to look for and most of the time pick things up on service before it causes any real damage. like kfk said the amount of non franchise dealers that ring main dealers for info is ridiculous so basically you have ppl working on your cars that dont know what there doing. if you dont want to use a citroen dealer from day one you dont have to as long as the garage you use is vat registered and use citroen parts your warrenty won't be affected. WHY DO PPL COME ON HERE AND POST WHAT THEY THINK AND NOT WHAT THEY KNOW. IGNORANCE IS BLISS.

if you fit this and it is inside the wiper stroke it will fail mot and you will have to remove it. on an mot the screen is made up of 2 zones. zone a (directley infront of the driver) and zone b (any where else on the screen) if its zone a, obstruction or damage that can not be contained in a 10mm diamater circle will cause fail. zone b same as above but 40mm diamater circle. if it is a clear sunstrip it will still fail if fitted on outside as it will foul the wipers. it will pass if its clear and fitted to the inside of the screen.

easiest way is remove mirror glass remove sensor and cut the wires. soilder wires and fit new sensor. glass has a clip behind it. push one side of the mirror glass back till you can see ends of wire clip and flick them out of there retainer with a small screwdriver and glass will fall out. refit clip to retainer and push glass back in till it clicks.

just go to your local partco or auto discount store. cant understand why every one feels the need to buy everything of the internet. the parts are cheap enough. you dont have to wait for them. you dont have to arse on with checks, po's, or pay pal. if there wrong you can easily take them back. my opinion anyway.

Warranty - Not Worth The Effort
iannez replied to gosso1's topic in Questions about Citroen the Company
i have done loads of these. strip car and make a list of parts. vor parts. they land at garage 4am following morning. start work at 8.30am. built up and ready to go out for 12pm. unless parts are on back order cant see what the problem is. we have in the past had cars that have been abused and not coverd these under warrenty but they were the likes of saxo and c2 vtr's driven by young lads with majour signs of abuse (cv boots twisted on drive shafts and bald front tyres with very little miles) so cant see why your having warrenty probs. i would try another garage if i were you m8. good luck any way. -
Citroen And Bmw Use The Same Engines
iannez replied to hertsnminds's topic in General Discussion and Nonsense
am sure volvo are using the diesel engines as well. a lot cheaper than developing there own i suppose. -
thanks for info any way.

the locating hook on the rear of the drivers side roof arch where the tailgate locates had damaged the spring clip inside the tailgate stoping it from pushing the micro switch down when it was shut. ended up fitting a new roof cassette.

it would make a cacking family car. 2.0 hdi would be the one i would go for. 45mpg and more power than the 1.6 and 1.8 petrol.

i work in a citroen dealership in the north east and we charge £140 for minor and £240 for a major service. cant belive how much more you have to pay down there.

you have to tell the bsi and engine ecu that its fitted. cant remember whitch way round they are but in one you have to turn cruise control on and in the other you have to turn vvr on. vvr is the one they will be having trouble with as they will be looking for cruise ctrl. tell them to check both bsi and engine ecu and make sure vvr is activated. you also have to remove the key and not touch anything for about 30 sec so the bsi shuts down before it will work. hope this helps.

if your car has a pollen filter as most citroens with a/c do it will mist up unless the a/c is switched on. it restricts the flow of air to the cabin. when you put the a/c on it removes moisture from the air entering the cabin. thats why you get water dripping from under the car when its turned on.

wounder if its the same as saxos when the ignition swtch goes down. i normaly just cut the 2 wires going into the brown plug and bypass the ignition for a cheap fix.

if you look close at the no plate bulb lens you will see a small hole on each side. you need to get a straight pick and put the point in one of these holes and gentley lever away from the lens and it should fall out. the bulb is caples and pulls straight out. don twist it. hope this helps.

i use a bodge spreader to remove them and panel wipe to remove the glue but white spirit will do. the spirit wipe will remove wax from paint so new decal will get a good hold. dont use turps or petrol as these leave an oil coating behind. another tip is get you heaters nice and hot and warm the glue on the badge in front of an air vent before putting it on.

the technicians are supposed to check service milage config on pdi. the intervals can be changed with diagnostic tool. you can also alter it depending on how the car is used. long runs, short runs etc.

sounds like the recycle flap has seized or the stepper motor which works the flap has gone down.
-
one of the door mechs has gone down. common fault.
-
i've never used anything else in this car. the hand book and a sticker inside the petrol flap says 98 ron so thats what goes in. it is also mapped to 275bhp and the company who mapped it (revo) said not to use any less than 98 ron as it will use more fuel and run poor. all of the vag groups cars wich use v5 20 valve turbo engines hand books say it can cause damage if you use any less than 98. burns the valves out apparentley.
-
i drive a leon cupra r and have to run it no less than 98 ron or else it says it will damage the engine so there must be a diffrence. it says in the handbook if you have to use anything less do not go over 3000 revs.

make sure you read the small print as extended warrenty does not have the same cover as new car warrenty.
-
the cam belt would make the same noise if to tight but would check alternator first. the trouble with cambelts some ppl think they need to be realy tight to avoid slipping and this is not the case. a correcty tensioned cam belt feels quite loose and you should be able to twist it 1/4 of a turn each way on the longest run between pullys

yep £60 and 3 points. you think getting caught in a berlingo was bad, i was in a c1 and also got caught doing over 100 in picasso last year but let off with 95. 6 dirty points.
