  1. condensation in the light is common due to a failed lens seal I just wish citroen would admit it but they use the age thing and expansion of the seal ( load of crap as ford do it ) check your warranty
  2. if the fob has been allocated to a certain car then it needs to be cleared and only diagnostic tool an do that because its set and logged
  3. the Picasso has a known fault where its spot welded to the floor/bulk head when it fails it makes the peddle sway so making the transition of gear change difficult ( spot welds break off ) im sure it was a recall but being an old fart things get lost
  4. when modding a car you have to use your imagination because its personal ( why be like every one else ) I would rip the engine out and fit a v12 lol
  5. have you got 2 keys? if yes put the working key with fob in the ignition and switch to position 2 auxiliary position then hold the second fob very close to the receiver ( little blackish thing next to the front dome light ) press and hold the lock/unlock button for 20 seconds so its stores the fob code ( one off another car wont do this so the fob has to be clear of coding security reasons of course ) then it should work
  6. now your mechanic thinks like me and out of the box, its important when doing jobs to save money for the punter and be honest about it and you will retain that customer ( dealers only fit new parts ) because its not worth their while doing botch jobs or need I say a cheaper fix other wise it would be full of returns to sort it if the pipe went again ( ok if its warranty work the cost is covered ) too many demons in the small print so beware
  7. its a trip switch for the ejector seat for people who play with switches
  8. I also agree the water pump doesn't have a sell by date so if you fitted a timing kit then its sensible to do the water pump ( im still suprised its not part of the service because it should be ) but you know the dealers and how the scrimp on cash and make things a cash earner
  9. they were young ladies in my time and beautiful memories that's life
  10. depends on where in the UK you are ill do it for £10
  11. ill re iterate that the belt isn't the problem but the tentioner and it is a recall issue BUT it could be considered a fail to service the coolant under warranty
  12. excellent video explains me to a t singer is a dip though this is me today- I know its considered old but that's what I am http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=orO9E7fC0mo...feature=related

  14. same with the Audi and when fitting an aftermarket radio you cant communicate with the ECU to do diagnostics as the radio is linked to the ECU for anti theft reasons, but that's for cars that are CAN bus orientated can buster sounds good though

  16. wow how things have gone up in price and to wait 4 weeks ;) that's bad, to make a good repair cut the bad bit off then cut a section out of the pipe so you can add some 10mm copper pipe and slot it in and clamp with jubilee clips, simple but effective
  17. really ;) does it have a catalytic converter? EGR system? canister purge valve? all are linked to the EVAP which is there to prevent fuel leaks and explosions diesel or petrol 2000+ that is
  18. first class fix then and that's what im here for ;) glad to be of service :)
  19. my appols I was on about the xantia and just released its a saxo silly me any way the fuse is still in the box near the battery F3 and should be marked on the inside of the cover, very similar systems on both cars cough
  20. as a friend with car tech minded to do it a garage might take you for a ride due to lack of knowledge and being a girl, does the air conditioning fan work? if yes then leave it turned on to prevent over heating its cheaper than replacing the cylinder head if it blows, the fan will take the place of the cooling fan
  21. I doubt it has a fuse and more likely a poor earth connection to the motor or the motor is shot, its the get in there type of job to check things out
  22. remember fault codes are only a guide to the problem ( interpreting them is a skill/art on its own ) ;) but we all have to start somewhere and there are los of internet sites to assist you there, just Google obd
  23. I wouldn't have thought it was normal for the lights to flicker like that as the power is regulated to cope with that, the dimmer switch is a good place to start and spray the connector with dielectric spray ( maplin stuff used for computer boards) to clean the connection's up
  24. so you have checked all the fuses? next is the fan speed relays to be found on the front of the radiator ( front grill has to come off ) they are covered with a plastic cap, the main fuse is near the battery 30 amp if the fans don't come on it will over heat and cost you a cylinder head job
