  1. Oh yes :) Sbarro and Dangel convert them in the aftermaket - one of them has a 6 x 6 version. Citroen've got until June 07 to come up with the OE version - that's when ours will be up for replacement
  2. Our aircon is on permanently (it makes little difference to the fuel consumption - not like my old Series 1 XJ6 but that's another story). That may have something to do with the fact that the fan switch broke today - it's on all the time and won't switch off. :o In a bizarre quirk of fate, my C2 airocn packed up today as well - the light's on but no action from the compressor ! Just to stay on topic, no untoward smells from our washer bottle ;)
  3. Same kind of things as us - as well as spare bulbs, the 12v compressor, and all the other things you really don't want to be unloading the car to reach on the side of the Autoroute.
  4. I'd love to blame someone else for the fingermarks but it provides an excuse to shout at the kids. And the really dirty marks on the rear full width locker is an excuse for SWMBO to shout at me :)
  5. Absolutely - I'd like to hear how he's been getting on in the last 6 months.
  6. I certainly miss the livelyness of the old Forum. But as far as shared interests go, the last time I went camping was probably 1979 B)
  7. No cracks in ours - but an awful lot of dirty fingerprints ! There have been posts about creaking from the modutop. Given that the way you tighten up the screws in a big piece of plastic like that is clearly critical - I guess that placing stresses on the plastic would cause it to crack over time. You might want to loosen a few screws (you'll probably need a Torx socket for inside the lockers), drive round the block a few times to "settle" it then tighten the screws up again.
  8. Citroen UKs website now shows XTR as a trim level for the Berlingo
  9. That could get the "Gibson pound" in March '07 (The dealer would have to throw in a CD player though - I don't mind paying extra for Air but I cna't believe that they could bring a new model to market in this day and age withought CD as standard - I was gobsmacked when I found that the Smart was cassette as standard !)
  10. It's never happened to our Berlingo but it plagued my C2 until the front discs were replaced. Copperslip on the backs of the pads would seem the obvious solution (unless the discs are badly worn). I'm not aware of any issues related to the rear drums.
  11. It was new to me too - pointed out by a guy at work (buys a C5, 5 mins later he's a bl***y Citroen expert !)
  12. Touche (as my kids say all the time - appropriately or not !) :D
  13. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D Obviously the same engine they've given Raikonnen then !
  14. Ian, To answer your original question - how about: Citroen World - Berlingo Pages
  15. Morgan, Not sure about price for a diesel - but I'm sure it would be cheaper than Theocco. Give Nish a call on 020 8238 9190. They can usually get you in at short notice. As they're not a full blown dealer, there's no free loan car (but I think they have a special rate on a car). Having said that, they can give you a lift somewhere or you can trot over to Morrisons for shopping and a coffee. Friendly and flexible.
  16. Just for info - although I can't separate the van from the Multispace, 60.63% of the Berlingos stolen in the UK in the first 6 months of 2005 have been recovered.
  17. For a real life example, a kid in a Saxo hit the o/s/f of our Blingo at an unfeasible speed recently. The Saxo bounced backwards across the road and had to be lifted and shifted away to the great scrapheap in the sky. Despite the fact that our Blingo had taken the impact directly on the wheel which transmitted the shock right through the steering and suspension, it still drove home (took 5 weeks to get it back though - but no write off) Surprisingly little panel damage as well. For the record, obviously it was the wife driving - I wasn't even present.
  18. Which means that in a like for like comparison, the Blingo still rocks :D All the more impressive when you consider just how much R*****t bang on about the NCAP ratings for their cars.
  19. My C2 seems to come out better than I would have expected - I wouldn't fancy crashing it :D (mine doesn't have ABS let alone ESP despite being an SX)
  20. I'm not prepared to take seriously any comparison which puts the Blingo in the same category as the Touran. The rock bottomest price for a Touran is pushing £15 grand and it goes to over £20 - plus an extensive (and expensive) options list - you've got to be trying fairly hard to pay over £10 grand for a Blingo. I would expect a lot more for that kind of money - I know that I'm buying a van with windows and I'm happy with the limitations that come with it. I would like to see Blingo vs Kantgo and Doh-blo That would be fairer.
  21. I must pay attention early in the morning I must pay attention early in the morning I must pay attention early in the morning I must pay attention early in the morning I must pay attention early in the morning Your three beeps are the "door open" warning. If it does it every time you start the car I'd guess that one of the doors might need adjusting. Look at the centre digital (radio) display and it'll tell you which one. Only realised this after I posted above - we went out this morning in a hurry and I started the engine before my wife had closed her door and sure enough, three beeps.
  22. Here's my take on your questions - some of them are "opinions" so other views may vary. 1) Don't know - but a petrol one doesn't do it. 2) (part one). Sadly no. One of the things that moved us to a BLingo from the Picasso was (bizarrely :D ) the armrests. They were not on the Picasso Desire and we weren't prepared to buy an Exclusive to just to get armrests (we weren't interested in the other toys). We enquired about specifying armrests on a Desire as an extra and we were told it couln't be done as the mounting sockets were an intergral part of the seat frame (which does at least make sense). (part 2) I can't help with aftermarket tables - but I have ot say that I've been wroking with cars pretty much all my working life and I've never seen such a beast - there's a clear opportunity there for someone. 3) Pretty much like anyting else these days I suppose - although I've never driven in really slippery conditions (we don't often get that much ice in London). The driving position would certainly aid control in and adverse or emergency situation - both from the perspective of the upright seating and the good visibility. 4) Goes without saying - we are an autonomous amalgam of like-minded people :D . 5) Correct. 6) Yes I agree - I always thought of it as quite small until we owned it. You won't have a problem with practice - remember the back is vertical. You only have a few inches of bumper to worry about (and the added protection of a towbar in our case). However, if you do park that close you'll never get the tailgate open :( . The other advantage that the Blingo has, presumably due to it's van origins, is large door mirrors. Welcome aboard.
  23. Can anyone tell me how you can tell the difference between a Blingo Van and a Multispace by VIN I'm analysing theft data for Citroens stolen in the first half of 2005 but I only get model name and my VIN book doesn't cover the Berlingo (Van or Multispace). If anyone's got the answer, I'll report back with the statistical chance of you getting it back following theft (I can't do the chances of theft in the first place I'm afraid) cheers
  24. Our Blingo's been OK but we had to replace one on the Picasso we had previously. Same story £25ish but a fortune to fit and a scare story that the whole bumper would have to be removed. If memory serves, on the Pic at least, although the whole bumper did not have to be removed, it was necessary to unbolt the bumper and lift it forwards slightly to get to one of the screws. Not as bad as it seems if it's the same on the Blingo
  25. Welcome aboard. You'll never want an ordinary car again once you've owned a Berlingo. And if you ever have a doubt that you made the right decision. Do some gardening  Then take all the rubbish down to the tip in one journey
