Whilst I haven't seen/used Citroen's auto wipers, a few other manufacturers systems require the auto-wipers to be 'activated' each journey by moving the switch into either the auto or intermittant position. Out of interest as you have the 'Visibility Pack', what does the trip computer cover/do?

Let us know who they are, won't cha? ! TronX The two 'offers' so far are outside of the dealer network. One is a specialist, the other a Citroen approved service centre. However, neither has actually done this particular job but see little reason why it should be a problem :D If I do manage to get hold of a new Berlingo and then get it fitted successfully I'll let you know.

After reading Tronboys account I've decided to try and update mine but it may not be quite as easy as I would hope. I spoke to the dealer today, apparently there are no HDi 92 Desire's in Med blue with air con available at the moment so it looks like a factory order. The problem with that is trying to get Citroen UK to agree the same offer i.e. £1500 + 0% over 3years into the new year, whereas the present offer finishes at the end of December. I know Citroen always have offers available but with it being January, new year etc I doubt the one for that period will be as tempting. :D As far as the cruise control issue I've tracked down a couple of 'volunteers' ;)

I'm seriously contemplating updating mine but having difficulty in firstly locating a 92 BHP HDi in Med blue with aircon, then secondly trying to get it fitted with cruise control. Apparently Citroen UK now object to dealers retro fitting it despite the www.citroen.com website stating it is available as an option complete with 'speed control' which stops you accelerating beyond a set limit. Ahh red tape, bloody red tape and Cit Uk B) All I want to do is buy one of their cars with an option that is offered in France by Citroen and over here By Pug, give me strength (to strangle the fool responsible!)

Terry it could be entering via the heater inlet just below the N/S wiper blade. Check for leaves/debris in/around the grille and down the inlet tunnel.
-
Check the wiring harness where it enters the door, it might have a break due to movement when opening/closing.

I do have a rear one but its still on the arm and they are difficult to remove without damaging them. I'll have a look and see what I can do. Has the dealer cleared the ABS light? If so, has it come on again? It may be that the 'castleations' around the hubs and the sensors require cleaning as two are showing up as having faults. New front ones are around £70 and rear £60 from GSF. Alternatively you could try Edwards and Son for second hand ones 01277 651486.
-
It may well be due to a faulty sensor, whereabouts are you as I could do a fault code reading for you if you are anywhere near West London. Alternatively I'll post a way of testing the sensors with an OHM meter. If you really do need another ECU then I do have one, however there are a couple of different types.

No they won't as they are of different shape.

To alter the ride height, firstly make sure the car is properly supported such as on ramps otherwise you will literally get squashed <_< :( The height is controlled by height correctors which take the information on the ride height from a clamp/linkage on the each antiroll bar. To alter the ride height the engine has to be running, with the height lever in the normal position. The front height corrector/antiroll bar is located behind the engine so you need to get right under the car, you will then see the height corrector as a round disc/drum with a metal linkage which attaches to a white plastic link then onto the clamp mentioned above. Loosen the clamp securing bolt, then GENTLY move/twist the clamp up/down a small amount at a time and allow 10 seconds or so for the suspension to settle. When the desired height has been achieved tighten the bolt, job done. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE ABILITY OF THE CAR TO DROP ON YOUR HEAD IF NOT PROPERLY SUPPORTED. PROVIDED the above safety issues are heeded, its a relatively straightforward job

Yes I saw one a couple of months ago up in Suffolk, it looks like metallic Army green
-
Its behind the flap near the drivers right knee. Unfortunately you will need 'proper' pro equipment rather than a Gunsons code reader to access the information.
-
Hi Terry, it looks as if need to make a phone call then.

Try www.gsfcarparts.com or www.pleiades.uk.com.

I've finally found that the site is back, hurrah!! Interesting to hear what Oxy says about Citroen Assist lasting for two years on his Blingo. It might explain why I had not received a renewal notice.
-
Have you tried Citroen, they do one for about £145, look on their website for details.

Whenever replacing spheres, make sure you 'raise/lower' the suspension several times, allowing time for the car to get to its maximum height and lowest point. This is necessary (particularly on later models with anti-sink) in order to expel any air in the system which causes symptoms such as a hard ride.

Heavy Clutch Pedal On A Xantia
DickieG replied to mike b's topic in Questions about the Citroen Xantia
The stiff clutch is a common fault with Xantias as they age, replacement of the clutch is the usual answer. BUT, when doing this job the two clutch pivot bushes should ALSO be replaced as they wear, which causes extra resistance, hence the stiff pedal. As the bushes are made of plastic they only cost a few pounds but in order to gain access, the gearbox does require removal............................................. -
Paul, it would appear likely, its not too bad removing the steering wheel/airbag, I've done it many times on Xantias I've owned, replacing dash bulbs/heater matrix etc. You'll hear many tales of airbags possibly being set off, but personally I'm still here without a black eye or two!

Your Berlingo won't be fitted with a particulate filter, they are not fitted in the UK, if it was then you would get a 'discount' on your road tax!! As far as oil is concerned visit or order online 5 litres of Total 9000 (fully sythentic) oil for just £17 from German Swedish and French www.gsfcarparts.com Recommended by Citroen so it will keep the warranty going. If you are still getting the service done by the dealer, buy the oil and filter from GSF and leave them in the car for the dealer to fit, you will save something like £15+.
-
Great isn't it? You look after your car and despite everything you try to keep it 'like new' it gets damaged. I'm surprised about your spare being nicked with so little tread left, you'll have to spray your next one pink with yellow stripes!!
-
Sorry GEO, I looked at your posting last week but despite 'racking' my brains could not for the life of me think of any suggestions to give you. The dealers suggestion does seem likely to me though given the symptoms you put forward. It may be that the indicator stalk is not fully returning to its rest position causing it to 'catch' on the steering column.
-
Steve, if you can't find one at the breakers why not buy a new wheel then go to the local tyre fitters and get a tyre from the scrap pile which has just enough tread left on it to be legal, total cost under £30. Thieves are unlikely to nick the wheel if it has no value. What you could also do is to then paint the tyre some ghastly colour = value in the pub NIL!! If your front tyres are nearing replacement then put one of those as the spare then rotate the new/old tyre combination to the rear. At present, I would swap places with you for Berlingo misfortune. I went to Wicks yesterday, parked My Berlingo on the far side of the car park well away from the trolley park and other cars......... Yes, I returned to it to find one of their large trolleys used to carry sheet materials embedded in my N/S/R door scratching the paint and putting FIVE :o sizeable dents in the door. NOT a happy bunny B)

I decided to do a mid-term oil change last weekend, my what a palava. In order to get to the sump I had to remove the complete undertray as Citroen have been too mean to make a hinged flap in it as per Xantia's. Unfortunately as one bolt is right at the back you have to get right under the car, no just reaching under to release the bolts at the front. There are also two plastic clips which attach to the inner wheel arch housings as well, I wonder how robust they will be after being removed a few times in the winter. A pity about this undertray, it makes a simple job more time consuming.
