Hmm - since I got the Mk2 (last year) I can see the problem with sidelights. I had one stop working (offside) and got as far as accidentally removing the indicator, cursing and putting it back, then just getting my fingers on the sidelight wiring, whereupon it started working again. Haven't had to face the problem since. Like yours, my car is an Exclusive, and I don't fancy disconnecting the 4 parking sensors, 2 foglights, 2headlamp washers and the partridge in a pear tree! How do you do all that, and get them put back correctly?
