  1. Yup. Then again a lot of companies share engines chassis etc.
  2. See the atom is a great car....in a nicer country or if you plan to attend a lot of track days. If so get yourself some track insurance and some proper tuition. Theres a guy round here with one and the reason he cant get it out much is the weather just is not nice enough to drive. Your not likely to get to drive it much outside of summer. Seems like a lot of money to spend on a car you wont get as much use out of as you would probably want. Unless you enjoy shrinkage. Or you can get a cheaper car and put some money into your own house or something which is probably a better idea as you could ge a good fun little car and still have some left for a semi decent deposit on a house.
  3. Surely going through insurance and starting without no claims is likely to be cheaper. £1800 is a lot of money. Plus have seen insurance thats been cheaper after a claim for some reason. Since your only claiming for your own car it might not bee too bad next years quote.

    Wing Mirrors

One of the things i miss. Even my poverty spec 1.2 clio had heated mirrors.
  5. C5 Z06 corvette. It looks great, it handles well and its quick. sub 4seconds 0-60 and tops 180mph. Spend a couple grand on the engine will top 200mph and drop to low 3 second 0-60 quarter mile in the 11 second mark. Car can be found for under £20k as well. £8000 worth of mods will upgrade everything suspension, brakes, power and basically give you a car thats as capable as most supercars. And you would still have money left over after insuring it. TVR's are nice but not particularly reliable and build quality is fairly shocking. Another car to consider an EXIGE, VXR220. If you want a very capable performance car though the corvette is one of the hardest to beat and it makes an amazing noise as well. Couple maserati's in that budget as well. Or could buy yourself something like a westfield, caterham, R1 Striker.
  6. Had my car nearly a year now and no problems with the aircon. And I tend to have the climate set all the time.
  7. I had a mate sat in the passenger seat and because the thing was not clipped in it kept beeping at me.
  8. MSN is a bit of a pain in the arse for linking images off should still have worked though. But looking good like the leather.

    C4 Porn

Wrong thread mate that one mainly consisted of us ripping Lee for his "playstation esque" driving. picture thread is here. http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/citroen/i...ST&f=103&t=2090
  10. If you want a better system its worth goign after market for it even a budget cheap system will sound better. Should also be around the same price.

As I said im not fussed where we meet. As long as I have a street name its not too difficult to find more C4's.
  12. Mate could not be as bad as a Clio with a boot full of junk and 6 people. in a 1.2 16v with 75bhp. now that was an interesting couple miles of driving trying to get the thing to actually move. But as said go test drive one and see if it suits you. 1.6 is probably a better bet though can pick them up for near enough the same prices 2nd hand, And insurance is pretty much the same only slightly more expensive compared to the 1.4. Plus you get loads more gadgets on the 1.6 since you can get VTR+ spec again for similar money to a 1.4 VT.
  13. There not that bad I have driven one on a test drive. Obviously was not as quick as my own but it felt alright for what it was. Still reckon the 1.4 - 1.6 variants produce more power than is spec'd.
  14. God damnit stay on topic! Or im gonna lock this and ban you all! :D
  15. Basically the same view i have on the Golf's. Good cars but not what people make them out to be as some of the best things on the road. And it just does not have any character. The C4 has loads.

Alright then sounds good to me. Can meet up wherever just did a route planner for it looks like going down the M6 for me is the quickest then onto the M42.
  17. I like things to be kept on topic somewhat. However if it turns into a spam fest then I will just delete the spam topics or move them to a separate thread. However looking at this the topic of C4's on track was covered wit only Stuey taking his out so far. And voicing his opinions other then saying they would like to go out on a track. So its not really gone off topic just changed into something discussing track sessions. how they can be useful where to go etc. Plus forums which only stay on topic get very boring very quickly you need to let people go off topic to some degree and have a little joke etc. If all you wanted was information than a manual would be a better alternative.

Bumping this back up. Just booked my tickets for the 11am show on Sunday got a premium ticket. So I am definitely coming along now. Looks like my mates do not want to come unless they change there mind they have a couple days to decide and get it sorted if they do though.
  21. Think reception is based on where you live and the phone your using. Here vodaphone is a pain in the arse to get a decent signal.
  22. No not speaking from experiance just something i read about accidents. My mate is also a doctor and enjoys telling me about the wonderful things that happens to road traffic accident victims. Like the guy riding a bike a few weeks agot hey picked up they turned up thought it was a few people that had been involved in an accident. Found it was 1 person he was just spread over a wide area. My mates a bit sick when he was at med school and we went out for a drink after he seemed rather gleeful that he got to chop a dead persons head off.....It worries me that he is in medicine now lol.
  23. Not sure get loads of things like that been given around 8 phone upgrades now. Few times money credited to my account. I did used to use the phone a hell of a lot though my average bills at one point were £100+ a month. But i had a BT cellnet phone, BT genie was a different thing still had cellnet around then as well as yes i remember it then had an old motorola on the analogue network. Had a mobile a long time lol. But this contract i got on my 18th birthday so 5 years old now. And they just keep giving me free stuff every so often. If they dont give you what your afterjust threaten to take your business elsewhere it usually helps get you something be it a new expensive phone or cheaper contract.
  24. The Cupra R uses the same 1.8T 20v engine as in the A3, TT, Golf GTi etc and there all Inline4's just have 5 valves per cylinder rather than your typical 4. V5 engines were a fair bit bigger 2.3 litre and up.
  25. This is what the "general" forum is for Contracts is paid monthly by direct debit. Can get them online etc from O2 so dont need to go into a shop and can get some great offers on them which will probably reduce what you spend anyway. I use to spend similar amounts on my phone every month. I now rarely go above £40 a month and thats if im using it all day / night. Contracts range from 12 - 18 months. Phones are free. and if you dont pay the bill they cut it off until you do pay it. However you can put limit on the account to stop you going over a certain point when you get to that point it wont let you make any more calls etc if your worried about going mad. My first bill i went mad with when i got it came back at over £300 for a month. Changed contract found a better more suiting one lol. And its rather cheap now. My last months bill was £24 including my insurance at £5 a month. And thats for 1500 free minutes 150free texts. and 200 cross network minutes. I dont really use cross network though as nearly all my mates are on O2 so all the calls are free also free to all landlines i have been with O2 now for 5 years and every so often i get credited money to my account and free phone upgrades. Couple months ago they just credited my account with £100 as a good will thing for staying so long i now also get loyalty rewards etc which results in money off my bill every month.
