I just put my thumbs on the little thumb wrest things on the side of the wheel keeps my hands in a better position to control the car and in case of an accident im not gonna instinctively grip my hands round the wheel thus making my rather nice meeting with an airbag even worse. As you just pull yourself into it more where as if your hands are wresting the airbag pushes them away with minimal burns and you get a ever so slightly softer landing which sounds good to me when an explosive bag is going off in my face if it ever were to happen. Cant see how you can hit buttons without trying though. I have to make a conscious effort to use them.

Or you can get the car professionally remapped which will give better results and is the same price or less. Mix that with an intercooler and you get better results then again as the map will be designed for the intercooler being there too.

Tuned engines usually benefit more from 98ron as well. Know a few 1.2's that pink if there not run on 98RON or higher. Admittedly these 1.2's would hand pretty much everycar on here a new one. Putting out nearly 200bhp from a 1.2 high boost turbo in a car that weighs under 700kg has that effect. Also doesnt make a particularly reliable car lol.

It should be able to cope with 95 its just with the turbo you wont get the full performance benefit from it most turbo motors suffer from a power loss with 95ron versus 98. If an audiTT. Golf GTI etc can use 95ron so can you. Its the same engine afterall. Its just you wont get the full power it can give. They loose around 10bhp from using 95ron. But have seen it tested back to back on an audi tt. And its not really that expensive for 98ron now cheaper than what we were paying for 95ron just a few weeks ago. Although petrol prices have dropped here again down to 83p now. I use 98 most of the time filled it up with 95 at the moment. It does run smoother and the car feels better on 98 to drive plus the cleaners etc good to put a couple tank fulls in every so often.

Would like to take mine on track. But id prefer to have a bit more oomph. Stuey told us he took his out on track at the C4 meet though.

Did that anyway when I put the spoiler on. Couple of people like to slam my boot though which drives me mental.

Not sure what you will get out of a remap, Would guess between 10 - 15bhp at most. Induction kits theres a few good ones that are universal dont use an open filter type thoguha s you will loose power. Something like a Pipercross viper or BMC CDA would be a better option. Not sure if pipercross are still looking for cars to prototype parts for though but if they are you can get a free filter off them of your choice for letting them have your car for a couple days. Which can be upwards of £250 for there good filters. Could possibly try new exhaust maybe someone out there does a decat for it which would free up a little power and usually lets the revs climb a bit quicker. Otherwise if you want a lot more power it gets costly can get it up to the 200bhp mark but were talking a few grand to do it and a couple weeks worth of mods. As will be new cams, possibly throttle bodies etc. Just depends how much you want to spend.

Only thing i use my glovebox for is an A to Z map and to keep my drinks cool. Everything else goes in my armwrest or the drawers on the dash. Not had any problems with my glovebox though it stuck once a little bit but i fixed it myself. Reason it got stuck was someone (my mother) decided to slam the thing and get a cd caught in it. Have to say Citroen Manchester for the most part have been rather good with fixing my car theres the odd thing they have not sorted but last time i went in to get a job done a few months ago i mentioned a couple other bits on the day and they replaced it all for me. Went in to have the brakes replaced and they also did my suspension bushes, and got rid of a squeak i had. Guy also saw there was bird muck on the bonnet and said i should clean it later before it messes the paintwork up. I didnt need to when i got the car back it had been given a wash and all the inside had been wiped down hoovered out etc.

If they have Photo's they have to provide them to you by law mate. Did you read the pepipoo site? Would have explained everything to do and if you could have got away with it.

Worst car i mean what problems have you had, a sticky boot was all you really moaned about at the meet and a couple other things. My mates new Golf GTI the spoiler fell off the back of it. Its also gone into limp hme mode before. Just because you got a car with a couple issues dont say there all bad. Is it fair for my friend to say all new golfs are ***oops*** because his has been crap?

The 17's do give a firmer ride. however a lot of people ahve problems with the rear suspension think its now a known problem with citroen and they replace everything pretty much bushes, damper and springs.

There is a 35D coming out but its not out yet. As far as google is telling me.... Im looking at a 400D for myself at moment when i have that kind of cash spare. But they have not been out long yet so want to leave it till they drop in price a little and internet retailers start selling them cheaper. As most you can get off right now is like £20.

possible the speed bumps keep knocking the tracking out though best not to go over them with wheels on either side but 1 wheel on the bump and 1 off it in the gap.
-
lot of the suspenion noise issues have been sorted with changing the bushes. I had 1 of mine replaced due to a slight knocking over some bumps been fine since. Its the brakes that seem very odd to me. Going through 3 sets is a bit wierd in such a short time. Are they warping? And if so do you brake hard or drive it fairly hard? When you have braked at lights leave your foot on the brake all the time? as that causes 1 area to heat up more than others resulting in possible warping of the discs. I know it sounds daft and most people dont drive the cars like nutters but some people do and they do certain things without even knowing about it. And do you live in an area with a lot of speed bumps? As that can upset the tracking especially the ones that have gaps between them as most people try and straddle both sides which knocks the tracking out.

Got 2 scratches on my passenger door. Neighbours dog jumped up on the side put some nice scratches in fairly deep can feel them with my finger. Was not very impressed but ah well not much can be done. And most people wont really notice them just i do. And i did wash the car yesterday and warm bucket was being used to warm my hands up. 3 hours took me to wash it had to wash it and rinse it off twice then dry it. And then clean the wheels which took ages. Was going to clay it etc today but its been chucking it down all day.

Depends on the engine really on some engines they give benefits on others they dont. It mainly works out cheaper at services though since the filter doesnt need to be replaced just clean it. And gives a nice noise. You usually notice an increase in throttle response and can gain HP and TQ on some engines on others as i said you loose power. Some of the bigger turb cars that just need air putting in as quickly as possible can gain 10+hp.

Means you dont have to replace the filter come service time, However depends on the car there in not really any performance increase just better response and a nice induction growl. In small cramped engine bays they can causeyou to loose power though.

No 4wd running gear and they probably didnt strengthen the chassis etc up much if at all. If its only for going down the 1/1 they would hav elikely just dumped it in as easily as they could.
-
Not that hard even without knowing what your doing. Just need the tools.

Not sure t obe honest when there coming out. Just seen on various websites there expected in 07. With the Coupe Cabrio following in 08 (if they build it). Id stick with the clio a little longer to be honest and then buy a C4 even if you dont go for the new model the VTS's will drop and likely more will come on the market due to the newer version.

Wouldnt be that much can pick up a pulsar for £2000 and a micra for a couple hundred swap engines over. Or if you know of one thats been wrote off can probably pick the engine up for a few hundred. Wouldnt be that expensive and it'd be good fun.
-
Would be fun at the lights. Theres a couple cars like this though the Clio TT is another one like this tuned TT engine in a stripped out clio. And theres a smart car in another country that was put on the net with a Hyabusa turbo engine beating a Ferrari F430 down the quarter.
-
Not entirely sure know the VTS could possibly be getting a 1.6 turbo lump putting out around 170 - 200bhp though. Which due to lighter engine etc should make it a bit quicker. Unsure of gearboxes etc. Can expect some styling cues to be taken from the C4 picasso more than likely. Just want to see what its going to be like first if it gets the picasso style interior would be nice.

Yeah knew it was a rover unit same engine was in the marcos mantis which is another amazing looking car. We deffiantely build the oddest and coolest sportscars in england i find. Is the 5.0 the same thing though or a different block? I know they started making there own blocks at TVR at some point just cant remember if they have a V8 or was just the Inline 6. I know the more modern V8's rover used were ford sourced like the MG ZT that had the 4.6 modular block from a Mustang just detuned.
