Wouldnt mind knowing as well cause most of the people over on the fiatforum (i own a fiat too) prefer angel over celtic. celtic put up higher figures but angel say they could map them to higher figures but usually say its not good for the clutch etc in doing so they map them to get more drivability out of it so they say not raw power which is why some of the maps barely do anything power wise but get rid of flat spots in the engine and as a result nearly everyone over there says they get better mpg after the remap. with more power etc.

Looks like an ok deal. MPG isnt an issue so much on the 1.4 its rather economical unless as ciaran found out you go out driving it hard with the aircon on then obviously the mpg is gonna suffer. I mean the 180bhp vts still gets nearly 30mpg so shouldnt worry about that. Mines got 29.3 since owning the car over nearly 8000 miles. But mines the 1.6 which is the odd one of the engines its a bit of a guzzler for what it is but its also still fairly tight and new so mpg wont be great. Some people stillget brilliant mpg from it though im putting it down to it being new. And the fact i have a heavy right foot at times.

The only problem with FM modulators is you get a noticeable loss of SQ. its only radio quality you get in the end afterall.

How exactly did you say it was chipped to the companies? See a few people i know it went up £20 on there insurance for it apparently if you explain it gives better fuel economy and make that a thing they dont look at it so badly depends who is doing it though. And did you say it was a chip or remap? As some companies penalise big time for chipping but dont penalise as much for remapping even though its basically the same thing.

I can make any day really so depends when all you guys want to organize it really and im up for a day out anywhere.

180bhp isnt exactly slow and the car is not high performance no but by the same token there are some people that would class the Z3 M as slow. But agree clutch should not cause problems i get some judder occasionally but i have found its only sometimes when i dont get my footing right. I can get the car into 5th gear without using the accelerator once and the judder is non exsistent. I can launch the car and its non exsistant and its usually fine day to day but occasionally it judders and i think its actually down to me.

greenlight are good as well and also adrian flux. And the cars are good. Not quite up to VAG build quality but then again neither is a polo wouldnt say there particularly well put together either my old golf was not that hot either. Cars are god look great most of the teething issues have been sorted out in the newer ones. Take one for a drive and see it wont have the chuckability of the polo but it'll be comfortable.

Temp sensor is on the outside though. Got in mine for it to read 29c by the time i got into the centre of manchester it has rose to 34c. Either way it was frigging roasting aircon just doesnt go cold enough!

The stock system surprised me a little bit as well rather nice sounding system for what is essentially cheap speakers. Once you take the door pods off and look you will understand why i say cheap. But they did sound pretty good. Mainly due to the size of them which gives it some fairly decent bass. Although when you start upgrading it then you can appreciate it the car is actually rather good accoustically. And citroen did the nice thing of actually giving us proper door pods once there sealed up fully the speakers should sound a lot better. I have changed the headunit, added new components up front 2 amps 1 powering components and 1 powering a sub and the sound is absolutely brilliant. Do you have the JBL upgrade or the standard system?
-
Mines ok only time it moves is due to the excessive bass. Then again my entire windscreen moves with the bass put out from the sub. When its up loud all my mirrors become blury things. You get used to driving without them just means you have to look over your shoulder more lol.

Press and hold the button on the end of the stalk for which ever thing you want to reset.

You have had some issues! Most of us have not had things that bad so cant say much. Had my C4 for nearly 8 months now and only problems i have had is a couple rattles the rest has been recalls thats it.

Sounds a bit stupid i know a few insurance companies that refuse to insure certain cars if they dont have a tracker fitted and you can pick those cars up for less than £10,000.

Should not have affected the turbo too much unless it adjusted the pressure it was operating at. But even then it shouldnt have done much to harm it to be honest. Turbo's are just one of those things that break at high mileage if the cars not been looked after properly allowed to heat up and cool down etc. Turbo cars should generally not just be switched off i mean the things do spin at 80,000 - 150,000 RPM so should be given a few minutes of idle time to cool down before just switching engine off and same to heat up a lil bit. And on the VAG TDI engines are generally bullet proof and can be mapped to silly figures and remain very reliable. Have a friend who have same engines in various cars in various states of tune all of them have been trouble free.

The song is from the add is The Egg - Walking Away (tocadisco remix) Not the actual one thats getting radio play at the moment that one is David Guetta vs The Egg - Love Dont Walkling Away. The older song was Les Rythmes Digitales - Jacques Your Body

Not watched the program but nothing can compare to topgear. 5th gear is naff by comparison worst has to be that one shown on skyone though. I mean make up test and ICE tests? What the hell!? And never noticed a vts in dr who. Then again ive sat and watched them in hospital with my mum last few weeks so wasnt paying full attnetion to the program anyways.

mine will do it from a stand still as soon as you touch the pedal but once the car has heated up dissapears.

Welcome to the forums mate hope your happy with your C4 cracking cars. And you may not have the car yet your still welcome I was here a couple months before I took delivery of mine. To be honest its probably not worth getting an alarm. Unless they decide to smash your windows and crawl through it there gonna have a hard job getting into the car in the first place. Once its deadlocked the door isnt coming open plus only keyhole on passenger side boot doesnt have a lock at all can only be opened when rest of the car is opened from the fob. Mine was parked in the centre of manchester for the last 8 months no one tried anything not likely anyone will. And not sure but the steering wheel may cause difficulties with the locks but i doubt it would just the spokes on the wheel go back a fair bit to give it clearance around the hub.

Got my car back today from having brakes and a few other things done. was happy with the service except a problem they fixed appeared again on the way home so will have to go see about that again now :/ Somehting to do with my exhuast whenever i put my foot on the clutch or accelerator anything that causes the cars motion to change it rattles. Doesnt do it stood still though. But least they washed and hoovered the car for me never done that for me before even emptied my rubbish out the door pockets lol. Only annoying thing is they left no fuel in it it was low anyway but i understand it needed a test for the brakes which look all nice and shiny lol.

Good luck with it they can knock off massive amounts so be cheeky and see if they will throw anything in as well.

Might be better getting the petrol vts you may not get 50mpg but you get 30 and a much cheaper car to buy and it only needs servicing half as much. 12,000 miles for the diesel 20,000 for the petrol. When you work it out you dont save much money going to a diesel you just get more out of a tank of fuel unless your doing 20,000+ a year. Other things to think about is you are going to be coming from a faster better handling car. But im guessing you want the larger size of the C4 more.
-
just take the already exsisting 3.0 V6 it could proably be shoehorned under the bonnet. if you can get one in the front of a 106 with work i dont see why you could not get one into a C4.
-
bit bigger in what way? 180bhp engine not big enough...if not stick a turbo to it!
-
Asked them to check if my car needed this doing and it didnt so all good.

See I have not noticed much in way of power loss at all on the 1.6 I have. And my mpg doesnt seem drastically different with it on or off. long 100 mile drive done it with it on and off got about a 2mpg difference nothing major and that could be just slightly different speeds etc. Cars in this weather will feel a little slower though due to lack of cool dense air getting into the engine.
