Do that as well with manually changing the climate but i meant in auto mode it doesnt just like to blast you out with massive amounts of cool air at any one point. And my temp indicator goes to 3 strips as well probably just a thing between diesel and petrol cars. Never seen it get above the 3rd strip even when giving the car hell which resulted in a 9mpg consumption according to the trip comp on some country roads.

Climate is quite good on the C4 i think never had the fans blowing too much anyways seems to keep things quite well maintained. Steering wheel controls are also quite useful its designed more as a safety thing though so you can keep both hands on the wheel more often thus you are more in control of your car and have more feeling as to what it is doing. Can say i do miss my steering controls for my stereo now that i dont have them was much easier to skip a song before on the steering wheel rather than having to look down or feel around for the right button etc.

Was planning on doing mine today as well but its been absolutely chucking it down that and my flat was so damn hot i still have not been able to get to sleep yet im shattered yet cant sleep due to the heat. I was stupid enough to forget to turn the underfloor heating off and it came on during the night. Its hell in here right now. Shame really i wanted to do the car as it needs it really badly and well i wanted to get out in the sun for a bit. Unfortunately theres a rather large lacking of sun and it is absolutely throwing it down had thunder and lightning etc.

Not sure how difficult they are to fit on the C4 but i remember on the Clio it involved front bumper coming off then the removal of the headlights etc not something you can really do without knowing what your doing. Seems a bit stupid they force people to carry round bulbs that are that expensive and ones they could not fit themselves most of the time anyways.

I bought the nxt wash ages ago love the smell of the stuff and it has lasted me over a year and theres still over half the bottle left. Seems like a lot of money when you first buy it but it lasts ages. Only thing that doesnt seem to last with me is the quick detailer as i use it sometimes instead of washing if its just needs touching up. Any of you tried the megs carnauba wax its stage 3 in the 3 stage system? It smells the way banana milkshake tastes. And the shine it gives is pretty good as well. Need to wax and polish my car again this week but just a bugger doing it at my parents i spend ages on it and by the time i've washed and waxed it theres tree sap on the thing already.

I should have probably done one for fitting the VTS spoiler as well sure it would have helped a few people and its only a 30 minute job.

if you run your finger over your paint and it doesnt completely feel smooth and like glass then the clay bar gets rid of all that. You basically spray on the detailer to act as a lubricant between the clay bar and the paintwork and then just rub the bar over your paint.

Had my dash i bits i dont think there is much on the right hand side behind the plastic will have another check but when you take the headunit out you will get a good view of whats behind it and where you can drill.

On a brand new car wont be noticeable. And the glue you just polish it off done it on other cars. Just dunno if i want them removed or not.

been looking at mine and im to tempted to take the badges off if there just stuck on as they just seem to collect dirt when its parked at my parents place the tree sap just covers everything and loads of bits get stuck in them only way to clean it is with a toothbrush and i cant be bothered with that everytime. Anyone removed them? Anyone know if there just stickered on or if there pushed into holes in the bodywork?

C4 is a great car not hard to see why it won. An compared to the new 3 series which could not be any duller its gonna come out well. The new civic though i just dont like it the massive lights at the front and back and the wierd rear window annoy me the interior is quite nice though.

Its got a better ride than the Clio at times but others it doesnt the C4 seems to deal with some bumps wonderfully and others it seems intent of making sure you knew that bump was there. Still for fun factor you cant beat a Clio or a nice 306 205 106. There just amazingly fun cars to be behind just rather small. Doesnt matter how many times people slate french cars they always get there hot hatches perfect. And the germans just cant replicate the fun of a hot hatch theres might be faster better refined etc but that takes away the fun factor. You want it to feel a bit raw and a bit crazy. And Renault (Rubbish) and peugeot have been getting that bit perfect for years. Apparently though the Citroen DS is still regarded as one of the best riding cars ever produced and its getting on a bit.

Diesels always feel quicker than the petrols lower down because of the torque its just the turbo spooling up that causes that. Same on a petrol car so many N/A type cars are quicker than the turbo'd units but the turbos feel much faster cause of the massive amount of torque you get when its spooled up rather fun feeling. Driven my friends zetec though wasnt a bad car as quick as my 1.6 C4 anyways maybe slightly slower but not by much at all. But the gear change on it is so much nicer. Just a shame the cars so dull.

1st test i was failed while paralle parkign because where he told me to park there was no kerb so apparently i hit his imaginaery kerb....there wasnt even a line around to judge where it would be. 2nd one i failed cause i didnt look left when doing my 3 point turn. Now i could describe to her in detail exactly what was to my left at that time...It went somethign along the lines of. "There was a giant metal fence and a load of fields" Why exactly do i need to look into a field with a massive fence in front of it to see if a car could come and hit me? She still failed me. 3rd passed with 3 minors. There was actually a guy coming back to the test centre though done his manouvers and his emergency stop and the women called another one right outside the test centre he had gone all the way through the test without getting even 1 minor and she wasnt happy so she basically did somethign to make him get one. Same women i had on my 2nd test actually. Quite a lot of complaining from the guys instructor and the guy that she made him do extra bits to make him get a minor though. She was a complete idiot of an examiner. The othr guy there was fine when i got him really chatty etc. She just grunted and breathed so damn hard i could hear her all the way through the test.

Not passing after 3 times and being banned is well a bit of a stupid idea in my mind. I could show you people who are deffinately better drivers than us who passed after 5+ attemps. It just depends if your nervous, Something on the day doesnt go quite right. I didnt pass first time yet i would say im a very good driver. Yet all my friends that passed 1st time have all been in accidents and all of them i can honestly say scare the living ***oops*** out of me behind the wheel and i can see why they had accidents. Passing after a couple times or more actually can have the opposite affect and make you a better driver makes you more determined to be a better driver.

Yeah i use that on my tyres the stuff in the green container? Good stuff brings the tyres up really well. But use the back to black on my sidestrips and bumpers etc.

Just book it for as soon as you get back. I mean its booked before the 12,000 mark lol just might be you went over between that time.

Oh I understand that mate its just you know if they do make a mistake it would be nice to get an apology off them or at least say something about they needed to do such and such extra I would not mind then. Just the fact the techs at my local place some of them are great and others are bloody useless. And would rather just fob me off. Few times i have been in and they have been great sorted my car as i wanted it with no problems including replacing a part underwarranty they expected was caused by someone hitting me and i could not thank them enough for putting it through somehow. But othertimes its just hell like taking the car back 3 times to have the seatbelt rattle sorted which still isnt right.

Not tried any of the carplan stuff apart from the back to black which is what i use on it.

Basically if you have upgraded stereo etc tell them least they will cover it on yours im guessing my spoiler is not covered for a replacement on my premium they will replace the wheels though if they get stolen so basically anything i add isnt covered but they didnt charge me extra for. The stereo im taking aftermarket insurance out on when i have finished it as they need pictures of the installation etc for it.

The 12500 miles is a rough indication you can go over a bit usually. Just preferable to be done before or just after it but it should not affect your warranty unless its getting to stupid figures you know 3000 miles over kinda thing.

I was more annoyed about the sub etc being disconnected to be honest i didnt understand the need for them to do that at all. I actually did ask if that would need touching etc and they said no otherwise i would have taken it apart myself if they needed to sort it as theres a lot of money in that equipment and its set up a specific way and i just dont want people messing with it lol.
