I got a quote on the rub strips for £80. It depends on the colour of your car as well some are a lot harder to match properly. I asked a friend of mine who used to spray things he saw the colour of mine and siad its possibly one of the hardest colours he thinks to get perfect. :P

Nope no updates done and reliablie in what way what does it change?
-
differences externally are. if its the 180vts the rear spoiler, Chrome exhaust, Colour coded rub strips on doors, A pillar and B pillar trim painted same colour as the spoiler and the windscreen surround so that graphite black colour.

FQ400 is such a machine tell him to get it remapped. 500bhp the engine is detuned to 400bhp lol. Just that clutch is rather a bugger. Dont you need at least 3000rpms on it before you can even think about moving. I know they stall a fair bit but such an amazing car. Still think i would prefer 400bhp of N/A muscle with similar amounts of low down torque. Think its you that is copying me :-P if i was getting it mustang would have to be a classic mustang. 69 or something like that love that shape. Plus mustangs the newer ones the engines just arent that great 5.0 litre V8 develops a whole 215bhp. I dd rather buy a civic type R that can do corners with the cash and go faster. Admittedly modded it starts making a difference where cams put the mustang up to over 360 with a couple other mods and the type r needs a supercharger.

I would get the remap and induction kit done but after that I think its just wasted money on a 1.6. Would rather save the cash and then get something a bit more mental in the future when i can afford it. Looking like a supra 3000GT or maybe something american just something about 5+ litre V8's that make me want one lol.

Im after upgrading it all i have plans goign through my mind but requires some more extensive modifications to the interior of the car and im really not wanting t do that yet lol. But the car PC thing has started giving me ideas and i want to put one in now even worse knowing i have most of the computer parts sat in the other room that i could use. And my carpet is fine in the C4 will be getting left in there as well when the false floor goes in which i need to start thinking about designing as i still want the wheel to be accessible etc.

Headunit you can see further up. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/install1.JPG http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/install2.JPG And theres the sub and amps. And can see how it was all wired in with the little guide thing i did in the ice section. All getting ripped out possibly tomorrow though so i can start constuction of my false floor and new sub box which is gonna be over double the size of that one. For SQ though rather than all out thumping bass.

Not too bad done over 6000 miles now since november on mine.

The CDA doesnt sound quite the same as a K&N because its an enclosed filter. It will give you the benefit of actually increasing your performance by a small amount though compared with most cone filters that loose some performance for you.

they give much better visibility. the lights turn with the steering wheel, there longer life bulbs much longer. And they give out a purer light. Theres a reason why they are more expensive they also give out more and better light and use less power from the alt to do so.

I have a rattle occasionally when I press the gas. I suppose best way to describe the sound would be like the bell you put on a cats collar.

Pretty sure there based in the midlands somewhere. But if its not worth the money you can get your cash back they have a cooling off period if you dont think it was worth it can only give it a try.

sony and kenwood not what i would rate high in audio equipment. Im currently running Alpine 9855R headunit Alpine MRV t420 2 channel amp which is powering my front components which are 6" InphaseXT's putting around 100w RMS each side through them. And then i have an RE SE 12 subwoofer powered by a lanzar opti series amp which is feeding around 600w RMS or so into the sub. No rear speakers. My front components will be shifted into the rear though at some point when i upgrade to my new ones when i have some spare cash.

Get Angeltuning to have a look at it they will come to your house and instead of chipping it remap it but map it over a certain time on the road that way no hardware has been added to the car just changing the stock map. Gives better powergains and is cheaper.

2 weeks. it took less than 2 hours to sort mine out that was with no one having a clue what to do lol. just a bmw adaptor couple snips of the wires and then taping them back up to match the correct ones. Think hamsc4vts did it himself as well said it took him around 30 minutes if i remember correctly.

Got the same letter. booked mine in to get the brakes done and this as well.
-
Have to get it nice and toasty lol. Plus that leather steering wheel is sodding freezing in the morning numerous times on my way to uni in the morning I was sat with my sleeves pulled over my hands due to my fingers just about freezing off touching the wheel lol. I think the C4 needs a heated steering wheel!
-
I would love to take one of those little C1's for a bit of a thrash look like they could be such good fun.
-
I do when I just get in it was bloody freezing! First thing i do stick the CC on HI and sit and bake for a few minutes then it gets too warm and i end up needing to open the window lol. Although since the temps have been nice lately i got in it yesterday set it to low and turned the A/C on was like heaven lol.

Welcome to the forum mate. 1) Any headunit will fit its pretty much a standard 1din slot. picture below of mine to show ya. Theres a small gap between the climate but only cause the climate comes out slightly further due to he curvature of it but the headunit is pretty much flush fit so nothing can be done maybe a small piece of black plastic cut to hide it but you cant see it when the face is on the unit so not an issue. You will need a BMW iso converter and then case of swapping a few wires around. Dont think theres an adaptor out for it yet so case of using multimetre and sorting it. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/dash.JPG 2) The rear brakes have recently just had a bulletin for from citroen look slike it requiresnew disks, calipers etc. So get it in to the dealers for that. 3) Not attempted a PC install in mine i might do in the future when i have some more cash until then im happy with what i have and im not sure if anyone else has yet. the good thing about the C4 is theres loads of spcae everywhere and its an absolute doddle to work on and run cables in etc.

LPG is worth it but as more people start switching the government are just gonna end up taxing that to buggery as well.
-
Thats it i am so in there tomorrow! Car needs some other bits sorting anyways so might as well book a curtesy car for a few days lol.
-
No problem mate. As long as it all works. That will still allow your original display for the system to work as well if its dash mounted.
-
Im pretty sure servicing is more expensive yeah. It seems great when you first get the higher MPG but over time you dont save that much money. But least you dont have to rev the nuts of a diesel to get it to move like i have to with the petrol. it only gets its power after 5000rpm which is fine for me i dont mind but some people might not like having to make there engine scream at times.
-
How many miles a year is that doing cause judging from mine the difference is around 14 pence per mile for the petrol and around 12p a mile for the diesel takes a fair bit longer when you work out the £1000+ difference plus the 7p extra a litre for fuel plus the £10-£20 extra it is for road tax. And insurance is actually up on the diesels generally cause there more to repair.
