  1. lol not dead just the 2cv expert doesnt seem to visit no more. Try pming truemouse or asking him on the picasso specific forum he would probably know best. he is the resident 2cv fanatic here.
  2. What buttons does the call bit replace as theres no spaces left on my steering wheel so just curious?
  3. did check as i knwo theres those dension things you can usually use unfortunately the C3 isnt listed as one of the cars its compatible with :/
  4. when we had our fiat they were like that some little sods ripped the wing mirror off was just the cost to buy the new mirror was put on for free. Am quite surprised you can get it that cheap for the system though.
  5. Keep hearing these stories about the sensodrive system is it really that bad? Im personally a fan of manuals i just feel more incontrol of my car but some of the semi auto boxes on some cars i would gladly drive the new golf one for a start since its quicker than the manual version.
  6. Yeah like mine think my spare is a 15" wheel and my standards are 17" probably very little difference between them though with the tyre sizes.
  7. Not sure i know its possible on the C4 you will need a cable though for it. Otherwise its gonna mean a new headunit with ipod link built in. Which is probably better anyways to be honest. But does cost more money. Just the standard system in the C3 is pretty naff once you listened to just a new headunit on there makes a world of difference to quality and the type of sound that comes out more bassy without the distortion better mids and trebles etc.
  8. If its a headunit change dont expect much change from £400 think the standard non bluetooth unit is around £300 if memory serves.
  9. right on my steering wheel all the buttons are taken up but theres no button for a phone but i dont have the phone headunit. mine just has the buttons for adjusting the displays and changing vehicles options there. But id say buying the stock headunit aftermarket aint gonna be cheap. talking a good few hundred quid. Probably be best to get an aftermarket headunit with bluetooth function that you can pick up for around £250 better sounding as well.
  10. Prefer the guages in the newer one.
  11. i've only just realised i messed up the word story in the title and i cant change it :D

    Goodbye C3

bog standard minis are crap but the top end ones the cooper s works etc are brilliant cars. There a bit over rated but they really do handle well. And there damn quick. Just not quite as much fun as other hot hatches.
  13. An English Professor assigned his students to a joint writing exercise that quickly degraded - check it out below... Teacher: "Today we will experiment with a new form called the tandem story. The process is simple. Each person will pair off with the person sitting to his or her immediate right. As homework tonight, one of you will write the first paragraph of a short story. You will e-mail your partner that paragraph and send another copy to me. The partner will read the first paragraph and then add another paragraph to the story and send it back also sending another copy to me. The first person will then add a third paragraph, and so on, back and forth. Remember to re-read what has been written each time in order to keep the story coherent. There is to be absolutely NO talking outside of the e-mails and anything you wish to say must be written in the e-mail. The story is over when both agree a conclusion has been reached." The following was actually turned in by two of the English students: Rebecca (last name deleted), and Gary (last name deleted). THE STORY: (First paragraph by Rebecca) At first, Laurie couldn't decide which kind of tea she wanted. The chamomile, which used to be her favorite for lazy evenings at home, now reminded her too much of Carl, who once said, in happier times, that he liked chamomile. But she felt she must now, at all costs, keep her mind off Carl. His possessiveness was suffocating, and if she thought about him too much her asthma started acting up again. So chamomile ! was out of the question. (Second paragraph by Gary) Meanwhile, Advance Sergeant Carl Harris, leader of the attack squadron now in orbit over Skylon 4, had more important things to think about than the neuroses of an air-headed asthmatic bimbo named Laurie with whom he had spent one sweaty night over a year ago. "A.S. Harris to Geostation 17", he said into his transgalactic communicator. "Polar orbit established. No sign of resistance so far..." But before he could sign off, a bluish particle beam flashed out of nowhere and blasted a hole through his ship's cargo bay. The jolt from the direct hit sent him flying out of his seat and across the c*ckpit. (Rebecca) He bumped his head and died almost immediately, but not before he felt one last pang of regret for psychically brutalizing the only woman who had ever had feelings for him. Soon afterwards, Earth stopped its pointless hostilities towards the peaceful farmers of Skylon 4. "Congress Passes Law Permanently Abolishing War and Space Travel," Laurie read in her newspaper one morning. The news simultaneously excited her and bored her. She stared out the window, dreaming of her youth, when the days had passed unhurriedly and carefree, with no newspapers to read, no television to distract her from her sense of innocent wonder at all the beautiful things around her. "Why must one lose one's innocence to become a woman?" she pondered wistfully. (Gary) Little did she know, but she had less than 10 seconds to live. Thousands of miles above the city, the Anu'udrian mother ship launched the first of its lithium fusion missiles. The dimwitted wimpy peaceniks that pushed the unilateral Aerospace Disarmament Treaty through the congress had left Earth a defenseless target for the hostile alien empires who were determined to destroy the human race. Within two hours after the passage of the treaty the Anu'udrian ships were on course for Earth, carrying enough firepower to pulverize the entire planet. With no one to stop them, they swiftly initiated their diabolical plan. The lithium fusion missile entered the atmosphere unimpeded. The President, in his top-secret mobile submarine headquarters on the ocean floor off the coast of Guam, felt the inconceivably massive explosion, which vaporized poor, stupid, Laurie and 85 million other Americans. The President slammed his fist on the conference table. "We can't allow this! I'm going to veto that treaty! Let's blow 'em out of the sky!" (Rebecca) This is absurd. I refuse to continue this mockery of literature. My writing partner is a violent, chauvinistic semiliterate adolescent. (Gary) Yeah? Well, you're a self-centered tedious neurotic whose attempts at writing are the literary equivalent of Valium. "Oh shall I have chamomile tea? Or shall I have some other sort of F***ING TEA??? Oh no, I'm such an air headed bimbo who reads too many Danielle Steele novels." (Rebecca) Asshole. (Gary) Bitch. (Rebecca) Get screwed. (Gary) Eat sh it. (Rebecca) SCREW YOU - YOU NEANDERTHAL!!! (Gary) GO DRINK SOME TEA BITCH.

    Goodbye C3

Good way to think about it lol :D
  15. Kinda of right if you checked out the MP3 ice thread i say in there how mine was done kind of. Rather fiddly though. You will need a BMW type iso converter but it then needs to have a few wires chopped and hanged around a little bit. Then you need a bmw aerial adaptor as well. i think it was a bmw type one. Headunit pops out really easily and the standard jbl sub is probably ran from the rear speaker lines rather than a preout. Took the guys in my local audio shop about an hour and a couple blown fuses to get mine right as its not the easiest change to do. Not had any issues with mine though i just cant turn it on without me turning the key like i used to be able to although theas probably a good thing i dont think the battery would last long with the power im pulling out of it.
  16. I know the guys on the fiat forum swear by them. (i own a fiat too) But loads of them on there have there remaps done by angel tuning. 1 guy had an engine problem and fiat ended up loading stock maps etc back onto the ecu when they fixed it was a mechanical problem not an ecu one angel redid the map for him free of charge cause.

    Goodbye C3

well just think now you really are "exclusive" :D lol.
  18. Let us know how it goes im after getting my 1.6 done by them when i have some extra cash to spend.
  19. Is the filter the aircon filter or the engine filter? If its the engine one just get something thats aftermarket K&N etc that way you wont need it replaced come service time. And if its underpowered theres cheap ways to fix that around £300 remap from www.angeltuning.co.uk gets you another 45bhp more and bags more torque. As well as usually giving you better fuel economy. To put it into some perspective in test runs the C8 0 - 60 was over 13 seconds was 10seconds after the remap. Obviously mid range is affected as well so overtaking etc is a little easy and driveability is greatly enhanced. They will come out to your home workplace etc and map the car for you as well. And if you decide in a couple weeks you dont like it and its not living up to what you expected they will change it back and refund your money. Might be worth taking a look if you think the car is underpowered though. Even if you dont like it nothing really too lose as you will get your money back. There pretty good though come highly recommended on other forums. Otherwise hope you enjoy the car and welcome to the forums mate.
  20. Tell him to get a C4 instead <_< Just playing. Shame though although forum does seem to have so many people with C3's who all have problems and the C4 owners seem to have small niggly ones in comparison that are easily fixed.
  21. Dunno about them needing a screw my flip key is absolutely solid. been dropped enough times and just thrown onto the unit etc and its fine. But its always a right bitch when you get a new car and its not perfect quite upsetting. You expect to have no problems where as buying one slightly older is usually better as all the little problems have been sorted (usually)
  22. ouch those flip keys are not cheap to replace £130 a piece they are.
  23. What about Toyo's? Fairly cheap and good performing tyres. Way i see it though is spend as uch as you can afford on tyres after all they are the only thing thats gonna stop you or give you control in an emergency.
  24. I actually think the michelin PE2's are really good. Good amount of grip very little road noise. But there not that cheap. £125 a corner for my size wheels for the PE2's
  25. I tried. not gonna work though :/ And its really bloody loud considering i have everything set to 0 the sub can be set to +15 on the headunit i got it to +9 before i decided my insides didnt wanna be moved anymore from the excessive bass being put out. That and my internal and external lights were dimming to the point they were nearly off when the low bass notes came in. Quite happy to have it not overly loud and just nice. But well when i wanna get noticed i know i can....from a few streets away lol.
