Quite a good find that. And im trying to get a job at the moment as an ICE installer lol. Would love a Nakamichi unit but I just cant bring myself to spend money on one. My sub is an amazing bit of kit already one of the best subs for daily listening money can buy. But my front speakers just arent good enough and i need to sound deaden the whole car first. I like the soundquality over the volume though but well the system is also extremely loud when i want it to be.

If i had a bit more money i would have put a nakamichi unit in my car but will have to wait until i can afford a decent one. Although if i got a buyer for my Alpine i could pick up the nak unit i wanted for around £300 off ebay. looks almost factory fit but the soundquality is amazing on them.

Was gonna say i spoke to someone at AlpineUK about them told me they were in development as well. Shouldn't be too much longer cars coming up for being on the market 2 years usually around the time adaptors etc start showing up. Just the multiplex wiring can be a bit of a bugger so many of the C2 owners found that out when putting aftermarket units in there car.

If i wasnt living in the city centre id actually get decent MPG out of mine i realised the other day just how much of a difference it makes. Ah well i suppose i should enjoy it while i can im moving back into the outskirts again soon gonna love the extra money every month but going to miss my appartment. But need to move :blink:

Since when? Been looking could not find one for my alpine unit that was only a few weeks ago. £100 isnt so bad i suppose if it integratefs fully into the cars system to display the information on the main panel again. But if it just does the volume up vlume down etc then not so worth it.

Agreed on the spoiler. I hope they make that standard equipment on next years facelift for the coupe it needs it. Theres a guy on ebay that sells the spoilers between £150 - £200 so have a look takes around 30 minutes to fit it not hard at all.

barns wait till the first service at 1000-1500 miles as it says in your book and the difference is massive the car feels more responsive it goes better etc. And since its new as soon as its heated up thrash the living bollocks out of it other wise piston rings dont make a proper seal and you loose power seen this proven a few times now on various engines. Seriously give the engine absolute hell when you can. Most new engines are already broken in on the bench so dont worry about it.

Think only a few blaupunkt units support the steering controls currently. Need an adaptor from them though the. Otherwise you just have to get rid until the interface has been created for more units.

Wipe it off when you can bird crap is not good for paintwork lol. Heard of cases where its actually messed up the laquer. And know what ya mean though used to end up with a car covered in tree sap and bird ***oops*** when i lived at home. Not so bad now i live in the city centre now it just gets loads of thick black crap all over it which i think is from the diesel from all the busses going past it. Need to give my car a proper clean this week sometime ready for the car show want it to be spotless just a case of quick wash when I get there. Plus i need to do some more work on my boot build etc so its finished. Im just being lazy though i said to myself i was going to wash it 2 weeks ago lol.

Its a shame we dont get the nice gearbox like the focus's seem to get i drove my friends the other day and it just felt so much nicer to change gear. much more possitive feeling. Bit of a shame really since i would expect with similar engines the gearboxs would be similar but there not. managed to get 33mpg out of my 1.6 recently though. Over a 10 mile trip i also managed to get it up to a rather nice 56mpg. unfortunately then i hit traffic.

Call someone out to have a look at it from your insurance company or take it to citroen if its only a small crack it can be repaired other wise it'll end up needing a new window before long.

Its still nearly 2 megapixel thats why its so large. But i have never seen those lines on any other C4 before. Have no idea what they could be there for if anything.

I understand its illegal and I dont think id be arsed about it myself but at the same time i dunno id just want to be able to have it for the sake of having it. Kind of odd really though the use of satnav isnt illegal yet can take your attention away just as much. So can touch screen headunits. Which is why I dont particularly do anything with mine until I am at a red light. And i can see why if you have a nice DVD headunit sat in the front your not gonna really wanna go spend another wad of cash to get another one for someone else however if it is for someone else just tie a headrest monitor into the sunvisor for the passengers will look sleek when installed properly and is legal i think...

Can you get a picture to show us? No lines in my windows either but you mentioned another VTS does. I dont have the laminated glass on mine but I cant see why it would have 3 lines in it. Checking pictures on the net doesnt show any other VTS's with 3 lines either.

If you check out some blaupunkt headunits you may be able to get a nice standard looking aftermarket one which has a lot more features its honestly worth upgrading the factory unit i thought it was quite good sounding until i put my Alpine unit in there and it just sounded so much better.

Also helps if you use your aircon regularly i know a lot of people dont use it during the cooler months etc. But thats the best way to break it and cause the smell etc. And i dunno when i had just plain water in my bottle the screen dirtied up straight away after i washed it and it dried a little i got smear marks everywhere.

I drove a base model C3 it was awful the cheapness of it compared to the C4 was something else. And it had a 1.1 I swear to god it would not cruise at 70 on the motorway in 5th with the slightest hill i had to drop it into 4th or it just kept getting slower.

Useful for passengers etc.

Get some nice screen wash its worth the money for the smell alone. And screen wash is good i tried with just water no matter what it could not get my screen as clear. Was worth putting up with the very alcoholic smell for those few minutes for a crystal clear screen.

The coupe is also a great car to mod in starting as stock because most of the trims feature a new lower spoiler and they all have rear lip spoilers as standard so on the insurance you just say but it had one as standard 9 times out of 10 they let it go and you just say your changing it they cant really charge you more considering most of us want the original OEM spoiler as it honest in my eyes looks the best out of all the aftermarket ones.

If they can prove it yes they can otherwise no. And my insurance said any alloy wheels i want i can add no extra charge they just wont cover them if they get stolen. But i can have huge 20" £5000 wheels on my car if i wanted and the insurance wouldnt care.

Happy with the 17's 18's with a drop would look better but bugger up the handling and the ride. The C4 is gonna be my everyday car as i may be buying a new car soon. And C4 i want to be comfortable. The vette i want as more the car to supply those thrills when i am craving some power. Would get a bike but well i would look a little odd being my size on a bike lol. C6 5.7L V8 Vette :angry:
