  1. I dont mind the hatchback i just think the saloon is ugly. And how come you got those wheels? Last time i checked they didnt do those ones for the VTR+ 5 door.
  2. No it is naff its a saloon :-P And its got the naff wheels and naff front bumper :-P i wasnt a big fan of silver it looks alright on the car but i had a silver car before was bored of them lol.
  3. Not sure without getting a look at it but id imagine its only 1 or 2 wires that need plugging in then a case of fitting the unit in you should just have to pull your current headunit out plug te cables in and plug it back in not a hard job but i cant tell you exactly what needs to be done as i have not had a look at one.
  4. the 2.0 with a decent map on it gives a similar bhp output to the 180bhp vts but the torque is another story. Think with a remap though the VTS is pushing 190-195bhp.
  5. Not sure could be a colour we dont get here.. And looking at it closer im not even sure if its a blue, Know it looks kinda blue in the book but for some reason it reminds me more of iron grey. In some of the pictures.
  6. lol, well i iknow its less than £100 to have them colour coded want to get mine done dunno if im doing anything else to my C4 now though. Think im just gonna save up for another car track day car. And think you get the comfort seats and VTR VTR+ etc gets the sports seats. Kinda fits in with the way the cars are marketted though the VTR being the sportier trim and the exclusive being more comfortable and a cruiser i suppose.
  7. My suggestiong wicked red and exclusive or VTR+ spec in my opinion. Worth it for the nicer 17" alloys and climate control etc. Plus nice front splitter that sets the front off in my opinion. Personally i say sod the kids the seats go forward far enough to get people in had my mum and dad in the back of mine before and its very roomy. And get the Coupe  And Lee does the 5 door exclusive not get the side bump strips colour coded? Would look so much nicer with them done surprised there not done thoguth the exclusive was pretty much the same spec wise as the VTS except the seats.
  8. Not even looked at mine will do when im next out at the car. Mines gotta go back to citroen tomorrow as i noticed while washing the car my front bumper has a section thats got the orange peel effect only slightly but i want someone to look at it. Also wanna see about getting some other things sorted out.
  9. http://www.citroenpicasso.org.uk/citroen/i...ST&f=103&t=1443 joeblunts 5 door in wicked red in that thread as well. When its clean and polished up the red is sparkling looks brilliant. And yeah i dont have to worry about the kids bit only 22 lol.
  10. Cant show you a 5 door in red but can show you mine. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/Car%20pictures...s/C4%20side.JPG http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/Car%20pictures.../C4%20front.JPG http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/rear.JPG I think they look great in wicked red. If not Red i would have had either Black or Irdis i think. Will get some new pictures done soon though just given it a nice wash and wax not quite finished but its looking lovely so shiny now.
  11. Mines occasionally a bit slow but have not found it bad to be honest. Only thing i find annoying is when i fasten my self in and im driving along and suddenly it goes slack. Usually because of the reason i said earlier that the belt ends up getting stuck in the recliner control and working its way loose.
  12. The brakes on these things are rather good. One of the things a few people didnt like all you have to do is tap them and the car wants to stand on its nose. But you soon get used to having to be very very gentle on them. And they stop you bloody quick in an emergency as i found out when some guy decided he would come straight out of the side street infront of me while i was only a few feet away.
  13. Were all friendly here. Couple things that will mention. A lot of them suffer form a rattle from the passenger door. And bad rear brake squeal which were waiting on a fix for. Other than that you get a nice riding good handling great looking hatch thats very well equipped for the cash.
  14. For those that might be interested thought I would do a little guide now after spending a good few hours today sorting out my system again and also cleaning the car. Ok way mine was done in my car is to have the fuse and voltmeter attached to the battery cover. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/bay.JPG My cable then goes into the fuse box. And the other one is run down the back of the engine. Reason for it going into the fusebox is because its then got an adaptor to attach it to the battery without the main power cable running straight from the battery. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/bay1.JPG http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/cable.JPG Just keeps it a bit tidier and stops me having to somehow fit the rather large cable directly to the battery. The cable goes into the car at the other side of the engine and if you can look down enough at the back there should be another cable entering the cabin there. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/tocabin.JPG Then comes in through and under the dash just behind the steering wheel nothign has to be removed to do this just a case of looking under the dash and pulling the bit of carpet down a bit. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/Udash.JPG Then the just a case of runnign it down the side of the car the plastic runner will pop off if you give it a bit of a tug just clips in the needs to be slide forward a little bit to get it to unclip from the other section at the back. http://mybigspoon.com/wozza/cabin.JPG Should be able to then just run the cable straight through to the boot. In my case then ran into a fused distribution block again as it needs to the power cable split for both my amps then just a case of running RCA cables which i have run down the same side shouldnt really but has not caused me any problems and was much easier to get it down there didnt mean messing about as i could just run the rca behind the dash from same place as the power cable came in and into the headunit a bit easier. My crossovers are also taped together and are basically hanging behind the same portion of the dash. Hope it helps some of you out thinking about pepping up the standard system. Can also explain how to set the amps up properly as most people never seem to set it up right way and just have a crap load of bass that doesnt fit in with the rest of the sound. {edit} just realise the pictures are rather HUGE! will resize them later.
  15. It apparently doesnt affect the warranty according to angel tuning due to the way it is done plus its supposed to be undetectable. :) And you gave your credit card to the missus?! Well there goes the money anyways lol. Even worse than spending it on the car lol.
  16. Not had the remap done yet no planned ot when i had some spare cash though. Just i had to pay my tuition fees so that kinda buggered that up lol. Was after the lowering springs myself though so let me know what it feels liek on those when ya get it sorted as well.
  17. http://www.angeltuning.co.uk/ £260 +VAT and they will come to your house or work and map it there for you. WIll give a 12bhp gain on its own roughly and iron out all the flat spots and give better response. THey have a money back thing if your not happy with it afterwards you dont pay a thing and they wil change it back to the original map that the car had. But on various other forums they come highly recommended.
  18. Guessing its just the 1.6 16v engines that drink fuel for there capacity then if you got similar consumption as im getting 27.3mpg according to the trip computer. And thats driving softly.
  19. Not actually sure i had someone stick it in for me as i was beig lazy. Know how to sort all the interior cables out thats a doddle take a few seconds but will have a look not had a proper look under the bonnet really just remember seeing the voltmeter stuck on top of the battery.
  20. Im pretty sure it is. THink its around 200w output or about 70w RMS from an 8" cone. Really not worth having in my eyes heard one similar to it in my mates car was not impressed with the sound quality of it at all. Normally 8's give a nice punchy sound but this one just sounded crap.
  21. Really easy to get the tweeters off actually just case of stickign in a flat head screw driver and popping the covers off then unplugging the standard tweeters its a 30 second job. The standard stereo is alright but once you hear something else it sounds awful in comparison i was happy with it but i wanted an MP3 player in my car best way way to go aftermarket and the quality difference was amazing. Deffinately worth it. I then however spent a further £1100 on upgrading speakers and adding amps lol. But it now sounds amazing lol. Only reason im saying go aftermarket is cause if you put the ipod in you still have to use the ipod to change tracks etc as the stock headunit cant interface with the ipod directly aftermarket ones you can stick the ipod in the glove box and then control it directly form the headunit. And that would cost you around £190 for the headunit with the ipod adaptor built in. And my tax is gonna be ridiculous next year :) looks like i will be jumping into band G if i get the car im after. Pisses me off considering this is supposed to be to keep the roads in order and not how much we polute the atmosphere.
  22. It should be band F mines band E. At £150 or so it is
  23. JBL system isnt worth the money in my opinion. The headunit i think is slightly different though got a higher output per channel.
  24. Welcome to the forums mate. There will be a C4 owners club opening soon the Xsara sports club will be changing to be C4 and xsara club. Few of us post over there as a result already but most of the C4 discussion is done in this forum for now until we have someplace better. And another one who has been pushing it i see :) That lift off oversteer can get quite snappy at times though and unfortunately the steering is just a little bit too artificial too let you know exactly what its doing. Handling on the cars is good though. im getting used to mine more and more now and learning to push it more the only problem i find is that at certain points i cant tell if the back ends gonna come flying out or not its just not communicative enough. Hasnt stopped me getting it sideways a few times though lol. The C4 really is the best built citroen around currently though and its one of the best looking cars on the road easily. Can see why there increasing in popularity so much. If you want to fit an MP3 player do you mean MP3 headunit or do you mean like an ipod type player? It really is worth changing the stock headunit if you like your music i changed to the top of the range Alpine unit and the sound quality difference was amazing so much brighter and cleaner the standard speakers didnt seem so bad anymore. But anyways welcome to the board and enjoy the car.
  25. Ahh that one cant remember what everything is for or where it is my owners manual is in the little drawer under the passenger seat lol. And i havnt driven my car for a few days lol. Would not be a good idea to go driving now either currently appraoching a stupid number of hours i have been awake.
