if one dealer said its covered get them to do it its a manufacturers warranty so any citroen garage has to do the work for you.

What engine is in it? As all the details i keep seeing list it as a 1.6 which isnt any different from what was in it previous just now it has a proper gearbox. And a bodykit.

When you say the gear change is awful whats the actual problem crunching into gear or hard to get in gear? I had that 1.1 C3 the other day to drive and to be honest i thought the gearchange was crap on that wasnt difficult to get in gear just didnt feel like the C4 did. Probably cause its a curtesy car and been ragged to within an inch of its life since its been built though. But it wasnt that bad. Although i have to admit i did practice my clutch less gear changes a little. but i only crunched the box once. well its a curtesy car! But have you tried taking it to a different dealer?

They should do but it all depends on the way you drive as well. If you break hard a lot of the time there gonna wear faster etc. but they should have lasted longer than that.

The C4 screen has the same coating for heat reflection and my sat nav does take an absolute age to find a satelitte but it does get it in the end. But i can be 10 - 15 minutes into my journey before it finally manages to get a signal. Also have to point the aerial so its completely vertical. Otherwise same issue cant get a signal.

Well dropped my car off today to go into the dealers for warranty work bee given a C3 1.1 desire. My view of the C3 1.1 desire is...crap. I know its a 1.1 but its sooo underpowered it was strugglign to get to 70 going up hill. The interior feels really realy cheap in comparison to the C4. The handling is awful compared to the C4 and the seats must be the most unsuportive things ever i went round a corner and started sliding off them. Was interesting. Steering is unbelivably light and offers zero feedback. And and i have to turn the wheel round so much to get it to go round a corner. Suffice to say my view on the C3 isnt up to much now. The C4 is so much further ahead in general feel.

I dont work so i may take my car or my mums car depends which is easier to take up with me at the time. I have the A/C on quite often to be honest and yes i do have a bit of a heavy right foot but the cars meant to be driven. Plus with it being new its better once the car is warm to give it some stick actually helps break the engine in better than breaking it in slowly. helps ensure the pistons get a better seal. Why Race engines are always broken in on a dyno as well. Results in them getting more power. but yeah to put it into perspective i had the cruise control on today on the motorway set at 70mph and the mpg was goign between 21 and 42. Not exactly great.

Mines just coming up for 2300ish now i think although have to go back to scotland this week again i think. Although not sure which car will be taking. But my mpg is bloody awful at the moment. Although i have managed to get it to rear 705mpg lol. putting foot on clutch at 80 doing down hill lol.

The only time i ever see more than 35mpg is when im on the motorway. Think my right foot is made of lead lol. Typically though round town im getting 26 - 29mpg but thats stuck in stop start traffic can be sat in 1st gear sometimes doing 5-6mph for ages.

Most newer cars will automatically adjust for 98 octane fuel now. Mine says on the cap either 95 or 98RON. Deffinately felt smoother on the 98 though and my mpg went up. This is on the 1.6 engine though.

Cruise control is a bad thing really has turned me into a lazy driver the only time i actually drive the car myself now is when im goign for a bit of a more spirited drive. Otherwise i take great pleasure in getting in front of everyone and then sticking cruise control on at 30 quite funny how many people you can piss off sticking at 30 in a 30 zone :D

The dealers always try and charge you more cause they basically can.

With a short warranty time on it left shoudl basically tell them if it does it again afterwards you have had it in so many times and they have still not fixed the problem. They should still repair it after warranty as its obviously something there not doing properly. My C4 one of the headlights in now loose and the clips for it seem to have broken and im sure its the fault of them. It was fine then i noticed it the day after i got it home after it had been in for some warranty work.

What i was thinking as well.

No polution light? Only happened 1 time with me as i said and the polution light came on still same fix although took me a couple restarts. You gonna speak to the dealer about it? Or just ignore it? Probably just an odd sensor glitch.

Ignore error messages forums are buggered we really need new one installing shame the admins arent around no more though :/ Tried emailing them etc with no luck. And cant comment on the C3 thing just commenting on forums lol.

My C4 has always put the AC on when its on auto. If you dont want the ac on you just have to press the a/c button or the auto button to turn it off then you have to set the fan speed and temperature yourself. Only way i found to keep it set without using the a/c. Although i dont think you can set it to auto without it using the a/c.

Sounds loads better as well plus with it being MP3 130 or so songs on 1 cd always a good things. Does look nice in the dark though when you can see all the other buttons lit up properly in those pictures some of the buttons are white there all now coloured red and the amber matches better. The screen is lovely though really easy to see and read and not too flash. Just loving how much better it sounds though. Although i cant get it any higher than about 16 before it starts to distorb its fairly loud at that volume but the thing goes up to 35!

According to my mate though witht he 5 screens in the car it looks liek something out of startrek lol.

Yep it got its first present today £330 down after fitting and buying the cables suitable for it etc. Im glad i didnt choose to fit it they had to make a cable specifically for the C4. Ah well looks and sounds a lot better than the stock system. Got myself an Alpine 9855R headunit. Now all thats left to do is new components and an amp and a nice subwoofer and amp.

That colour red has just reminded me of how good my C4 looks and how red it actually is when its clean. Mine looks brown right now :blink:

Its not got any presents...yet im waiting on money getting put into my account then it'll be a new headunit and total stereo upgrade and its booked in for a remap on the 16th. So its been treated to around £1300 worth of goodies lol. And yeah the problems are why its going back to the dealers for a few days.

My C4 pulls to the lft and also gives me the jigges under fairly hard braking so its going back for that. And a few other bits and pieces im not happy about. But ah well. Shame they dont do the wicked red colour no more :blink: although it does look kinda browny maroon when its dirty mine looks brown at the moment not been cleaned for a while.

Well as jazzster said his is a 2005, And they were only gonna give him £6000 with less than 8000 miles on the clock think to be honest you'll be pushing it at £6,000 big time. Especially with it being CAT D it might not be a lot of damage but it puts a lot of buyers off when they see the car has been wrote off.

Ouch repaired CAT D gonna be tough to sell and to get any cash for it. How much you trying to sell it for?
