  1. I think you need to try one of your road wheels. It's not possible that all C5 estates from 2001 up to 2008 would carry a full size spare then in 2009, they won't. Certainly the 2010 models do.
  2. What year is the C5 estate? I've had two different marks and both have come with a full sized steel spare complete with a tyre which matches those on the four road alloys. The spare fits in a wheel well under the boot floor and accessed from the load area. Now the C4 is a different matter. That does not come with a spare wheel. However my daughter found no difficulty in finding a steel rim and tyre which fits in the boot once the inflator is removed.
  3. Register on the http://service.citroen.com website as another professional and member of the Citroen Owners Club. Once you have your membership you can enter the VIN of your car and get access to all the parts lists.
  4. If your wipers are not wiping sufficiently well, probably the blades need changing. I find they begin to leave a smeary windscreen after a couple of years use.. Also if your aircon system is low on gas, it's not going to keep the atmosphere in the car dry. I keep my aircon switched on fulltime and it's an indicator that when the mist is slow to clear, the gas is starting to get low.
  5. Good point! Although my C5 was starting alright after standing a couple of days, the system went into eco mode within five minutes of turning off the engine. I checked the battery voltage after standing overnight and the reading was down to 12.5. As I'm taking the car abroad shortly I decided to change the original battery. I went for a 780 CCA 5yr model, bought online and delivered next morning for £65. After fitting, even after standing a couple of days, eco mode still hasn't cut in.
  6. You sure you've not been looking at some after-market C5 wheels. All the C5s that I've ever seen have had alloys that look like alloys. The Mk1s had Hungaro, Monza and Siverstone. The Mk2s also had Hungaro, Imola and Olympos. There are loads of C5X7 alloy wheels - everything from 16" to 19" - but AFAIK they all look like alloys.
  7. My daughter used to have the same model as yours and when her blower started to work at full speed, I used one of these:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Heater-Motor-Blower-Resistor-For-Citroen-Xantia-Berlingo-Picasso-Xsara-644178-/281527962939?hash=item418c5fcd3b Unfortunately after a week of successful working it stopped altogether so I took the easy option and replaced the whole unit with a motor from ECP
  8. The fluid tank holds 5ltrs. To get it to regenerate drive the car at 50mph in third gear for 20 minutes. Too much city driving is not good for a modern diesel engine. They need to have some higher revs such as on a motorway every so often. Regeneration usually takes place every 5 - 600 miles.
  9. They come with a selection of caps. One of them is bound to fit.
  10. No you can't block it. You may need it to bleed off the air. Bleed screws are very similar to Schrader tyre valves - except there's no core in the valve. It just relies on the cap holding the water pressure.
  11. Hello & welcome to the forum
  12. You may not have one. With C5s, some versions have a USB port but mine doesn't.
  13. Did it give a fault code before you deleted it?
  14. I'm not familiar with your petrol driven C5 however from your description I wonder if you are describing the flow and return water pipes for the heater matrix. On other cars I've worked on, there's been an air bleed on one of those the pipes to allow air to be released when refilling the cooling system.
  15. The DPF Additive is the Eolys fluid which is stored in a small 5ltr tank alongside the main fuel tank. Each time you put fuel in the car some of the additive is squirted in as well - only about a teaspoon full. The additive keeps the particle filter clean. If it isn't cleaned, the message shows, the engine goes into limp mode and eventually it won't run. After around 75 to 100,000 miles the additive needs to be refilled. A simple job but the engine computer also must be recalibrated.
  16. Try ebay - there are several on there - but all with unknown history. What's wrong with yours?
  17. I can change mine through the setup arrangement - time & date; 12hr or 24hrs etc.
  18. Hello - We welcome you to the forum if you have an interest in Citroen cars but we have had to remove your unauthorized advert link.
  19. So it sounds as though everything is working as it should. The fan won't work when the engine is off and it's gone to economy mode.
  20. Is the metal cover over the top of the rear silencer?
  21. Hello & welcome to the forum. You could download a copy from the relevant line here:- http://www.citroendriveeurope.com.au/downloads/vehicle-manuals/
  22. I think you're right. It's your DMF or the clutch assembly that's at fault. Since the biggest expense is removing the gearbox first, it's as well to change the clutch assembly and the DMF. Time for a bank loan... :o
  23. The LDS fluid is in the suspension system. The reservoir is under the bonnet and over the driver's side front wheel. It is a greyish plastic container with a screw top. Don't confuse it with the coolant tank. It may have a small label attached "Total LDS" To check the level, start the engine, put the suspension to the lowest setting, allow to stabilize then switch off. Unscrew the cap and there will be a slight hiss. You should be able to see the fluid at the bottom of the neck. If you can't, it needs topping up with Total LDS. (Use nothing else. Any other fluid will harm the system. When the level is correct, replace the cap, start the engine and move the height lever to normal. There are several other reasons for the stop light being on. It's really a matter of finding it. The quickest way would be looking at any fault codes with a diagnostic meter.
  24. When was the fuel filter last changed?
  25. Does the knocking noise alter when the clutch pedal is depressed?
