I was sorting out what will be done to mine when t goes in next week for the airbag update. I asked the service manager if he could enable tthe AUX socket so i can plug the MP3 audio harness in. He said he didnt know how. I told him that if he plugs in his Citroen laptop there is an option to anable them. He said he would have a go, if he can find it he will enable it. I think thats a good start. So I too would be greatfull if someone who knows more about the process could post.

In my opinion they are nothing but an expensive cheap gimic.

I booked mine in today for its airbag update. I gave Citroen a list of 12 things i'd like them to look at, and hopefully fix. I couldnt replicate the door problem, so after 10 mins in the car park, we agreed that i still have two years warranty left, so can bring it back if i can replicate the fault. They wouldnt do my windscreen, as he thought it was a stone chip and not a structural crack, which i sort of agree wtih. The other 10 he agreed to look at and fix next week when my car goes in. Overall, so far, very impressed.

Booked my car in today for the airbag recall. I'm getting a courtesy car on Mon 5th June

Thats a bummer. Any chance the pub had CCTV?

I got my letter at last, dated 15th May. I wonder why mine has taken so much longer. Am now getting the list of things for them to look at at the same time.

I'm with Swift. £240 fully comp for 15k miles, including the other half who has 3 points and 2 claims on her car last year. I do have 5 years NCB though. The only thing is the excesses are high.

Here's a couple of photos of my crack, so to speak. Its not easy taking photos of a transparent refelctive surface!! http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/matcapel/C4windscreen004.jpg http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g222/matcapel/C4windscreen002.jpg

We're all falling for the trick. I do the same when i'm 'requested' to do the washing up. Do a bad job, and you wont be asked again. The Citroen dealers dont want to do a good job fixing things under warranty, as they only loose time and money. If they dont put too much effort in, the pestering warranty-fix claimers will get annoyed and go elsewhere, then they can concentrate on pushover customers who will pay extortionate amounts for their services, but never complain. Or am i being over synical? EDIT> By 'Citroen Dealers' i am being stereotypic. I accept that not all are bad.

My Glass excess is £40 (unlimited Claims) Talk about bloody tempting fate! I reversed onto my drive this evening and whilst maneuvering round the wife's car I had the screen go bang! Sounded a bit like an explosion, certainly no sign of a stone chip and its in the lower nearside corner and the crack ran in two directions then into one! Have a look for yourself - Click Here Hmm - the crack looks very similar to mine. The wide bit at the centre, with crack flowing either side out of it. I'll post a photo when i get home tonight - useful bargaiing material for you when you go to Citroen. May i use your photo for when i go to Citroen, please?

Who's that with ?

Why do you need a dual-tuner ?

My crack was about 6inches long when i first noticed it, in Jan. Its now about 12inches. I got it treated so it wont grow any more. I can't see Citroen coughing up, but judging by Welshguy's luck, it may be worth a try. Otherwise, shall wait until my insurance is up, and choose a company with slightly lower windscreen excess.

Coupe has two reverse lights, both high up

I got a crack in the centre of the windscreen, above the air vent. It looks like it could be a stone chip, but the scepticle side of me says the crack above the air vent isnt just coincidence.

The only delay for me when getting my C4 back in July, was that i got stuck waiting for an estate agent to come to my flat, before i could drive up to pick up my new C4. It was all ready and waiting when i got there in the afternoon. However, i chose a standard one, that was already in stock.
-
I havent had a letter about this. And i can't see it mentioned on VOSA's website. Anyone know if its only for certain C4s, or has my post gone missing?
-
Careful that doesnt invalidate your insurance. If it makes the car look like a higher spec model, it will increase the likihood of it being stolen, hence i know some insurance companies wont cough up, if they find out

Do Citroen plug in their diagnostics there?
-
Thanks Syrup. Have you used them? I'm wondering maybe when a bolt is screwed in, it may take off the layer of paint, thus exposing raw metal.

Welcome lab44. I dont remember this exact topic, i know wipers flying off has been discussed, and sticking wipers sorted with vinegar (!). But i noticed the blind spot, whilst driving to work the other day in the (heavy) rain. However, since then i drove my GF's VW Beetle, which has much bigger blind spot, even when not raining, so i wonder how many cars have large panels too. I cant see it being easy to 'fix' though.

Has anyone managed to have a quick look at their roof mount, to check if it has gone rusty?

I knew i'd forgotten something: Drivers door has recently started making a clunk noise when i close it, sometimes not closing properly.
